I am noticing a bug with the Dead Eye mechanic. When a card is in the middle of the hand it is a toss up as to whether the card's Dead Eye effect will be active. If it is not, and it should, I could sometimes get it to be active by playing a card next to it, but that as well seemed random.

It counts if it's the middle card of the hand, if the hand is odd and both middle cards if it's even. In the event you only have 2 or 1 cards in the hand, they should always trigger. I need more info on the issue you have though. Do some dead on effects not trigger, despite being in the middle of the hand? Do you have some screenshots or examples.

Wait does the card need to be in the direct center? Say I have 5 cards in my hand, the dead on card needs to be card #3? That would actually explain a lot. I dont think there is actually a bug, I just was misunderstanding how the mechanic works. I was under the impression that "in the middle" just meant that it couldnt be the first or the last card in the hand.

Might be cemantics, but maybe the pop-up should clarify it to be the direct middle? Maybe the center? Not really my place to tell you how to write your own mod, but i just think that would be a bit more clear as to how it's supposed to work. Thanks for clearing this up!

Yeah, it gotta be in the center of the hand. If a card can trigger dead on it gains a glowing yellow outline.

Rugged (from Heroic Bravado) isn't reducing damage from cards to 1 - ones I've seen specifically are Impending Doom (from Midnight) and Burn. Only mods are Hermit, Basemod, StSLib. Happened in multiple fights.

Rugged only specifically blocks attack damage.

So this is intended. The tooltip for Rugged says "unblocked damage" so I assumed it was all forms, as long as it wasn't HP loss.

Not sure if already reported, but Malice does not sometimes (if not, at all) work with modifiers like Pen Nib or Akabeko. Very great character still.

Not sure if this is a bug or intended either, but Combo never generates Roughhouse even though it's a Dead-On card. If this is intended, I'm interested to hear the logic behind the decision. (I am aware Scavenge doesn't get generated either, but for obvious anti-exploit purposes.)

I guess bruise power should have a different priority than vulnerability (ideally a unique one).

Manifest's upgraded card description is incorrect: says "Draw 2 Curses" but draws 3.
