e.g. I think the endgames enemy (trying ot avoid spoilers) will only appear in 0,0 if you before made the related quest that opens a wormhole towards the center. So if you go there with the Borg transwarp drive, then it won`t break the game, instead there will just be no endboss yet if you did`t do that quest.
In the upcoming update you will get (much) more Borgitems with interesting effects.
It was over-powered a bit, but the latest update fixed that; I still had a lot of fun assimilating a whole faction. It took a weekend, but it was worth it!
also when swaping between ship types it seemes to keep stats for stuff like maxium allowed weapons until you reaload, this also effects cargo capacity, not such how much else, not sure if this is a conflict
This mod already includes all Borg weapons and you do not need to install another Borg mod.
There are some Add-on mods available for this Borg A&C mod which are optional and currently only add ship spawnibg items, soon there will be more optional add-ons that also will add other new weapons. All my other Borg mods are still compatible with this mod. Thee Borg Salvaging beam mod could be used togehter with this mod, but would be very redundant, since this, Borg A&C mod includes the Borg cutting beam, which is basically the same. They only have different names to avoid compatibility issues and they have a different spawning behavoir. The Borg Salvaging mod threat the Borg Salvaging weapon just like all other vanilla weapons, so AI-ships will also attack you with it, which i found very annoying.(You alwqys have to repair your ship. But the new Borg weapons of the BorgA&C mod can only be used by the player since they can only be found by salvaging or by permanently installing the Borg Assimilation Control System. In the later case the rarity if the weapons will be similar to the systems rarity tha tis used. Otherwise, when found by salvaging it will be entirely random with higher chance for low rarities than for high rarities. So i guess you are just lucky to get exotic Borg weapons? In which situation do you get spammed by exotics?
"Changing ship type": I guess you mean when using the transformer item? Did you go to the repair menu and pressed the "Delete Damaged Blocks"? This should update the shipstats while keeping the buffs. At least this is what it should do. I will look into this.
These buffs can accumulate to get much more slots and cargo, when reapplying the transformer item several times on the same ship. For balancing reason these buffs only stay until you reload the game.
So on short term this can be used for fun but on long-term you need to find systems to get persistent buffs. (or for cargo rebuilt the ship)
I now rethinked that mechanic and now want to make these buffs persistant. (these buffs make it more easy to salvage and collect scrap metal for building Borg turrets). - Any ideas or opinions about balancing for this are welcome.
The adaptive caller items in another add-on mod would also be rebalanced. They have significantly more buffs. Their buffs will be persistant but will now scale dependant on the spawning sector, so called ships will more get 18 turret slots in the starting sector.
personally i would rather have the buff be persistant but you only get the buff of last script, maybe create a second item that allows stacking those to massive numbers
also i dont know if its intended but all but the first borg ship are missing integrity generators
also is it intended to get cutting beams that do ~12K dps?
Regarding the starting sphere: It has the same block plan as the tactical sphere, including integrity generators. These are visible through gaps in the armor. The starter ship has naonite integrity generators.
Regarding 12k dps cutting beam at start: it is based on the average sector dps and scales with rarity, material and tech(distance to core). So I guess some other mod is changing average dps.
and odd as i got a giant hole in the front of a cube ships outter armor exposing internal parts
good luck with getting that all working and ballanced, maybe ill know what classes as normal then heh
