NOOB Question regarding Pirate Spawn Difficulty settings
So basically I have the mod and the following add ons: Air Traffic, More NPC Encounters, V7 Faction Wars, and Abandoned Settlements.

I die within the first hour of every game literally, the spawn comes in with rockets and guns blazing and they have shield even though I don't have the shield mod loaded? In over half my games I die within the first 20 minutes. The only way I have been able to survive so far is leave the mod out until I build a basic base and then add it in.

Is there a way to limit the difficulty at the beginning and have it ramp up later? I mean wow it's awesome and all but damn I don't seem to stand a chance and that seems way over the top difficult...

Any help and advice appreciated cause the vanilla game is boring and I love the spawns, just wish they were a little less difficult at the start so I can at least get my solar panels or turbines built before they attack me lol!

same problem, die after 10-20min gameplay

Best thing I've found to do so far is to have some gatling guns (3-5) on extended rails (Maybe even pistons) so you can poke them over asteroid cover without taking on return fire. If you're like me, you can grab a weapon mod for some heavier hitting weapons to keep the nasties at bay for longer. 43mm rotary cannon shreds. >=D

You could also use extra thrusters to out-speed incoming fire, the drones in particular are succeptable to being flanked.

This is a great mod really adds life to the game. That said I agree the pirates in the early game are bit much. Wave after wave gets overwhelming.

If you are getting attacked early game, then you need to remove the mod that adds those encounters. The spwner itself has no encounters, and Air Traffic encounters are mainly passive (they dont track players, but will fire if approached)

The rest of the listed mods are made by other authors, so i would investigate there

Thank you for your reply, sorry had to take a break so just getting back to playing. So it's controlled in the add on mods not the spawner got it!

depends on what you do, for i learned quickly in my first survival save, and my first proper game to go dark, aka antena are on shoper short ranges or non existant. till you have your base, also by this comment of mine there is modafiyers for the changes of spawning, and we got plenty of responces so from hard as hell to your likly to have teh vanilla but a little differant being the extreams so lots of options now

I agree, early on the pirates really are a nuisance. Wish they were a little bit less heavily armed, or not so damn many.
