Is it possible to break into the space pirate supply cache bunkers?
I'm just curious if this is actually possible. I assumed they were trapped, and sent a small grinder drone. I've lost about six drones now trying to find a way in, including a digger that tried to tunnel in from underneath.

I'm fine with it if no one wants to give away the trick. But do these things even have a trick? Or should I just send one of my Gnat missile drones to blast the things and clear them off my HUD? Because all I'm getting out of them so far is a lot of dead drones (mine) and some really big craters. I'd like to know whether they're actually a complete waste of time. Because right now, they sure feel like it.

I know this is an old post and you may have already figured it out or gave up, this is also for anyone else who never found the answer. In order to get into the supply cache you need to go up to it and there are button panels on the sides, press one of the buttons and it will either explode or open the door, if it opens just hack the cargo container by grinding it down and welding it back up.

I also know this is an insanely old post, but is there a specific button that needs to be pressed to open these?

They're deliberately designed so you can't tell which button. If I remember there are two choices, (basically Button 1 or Button 2.) There's multiple different versions, and they all look exactly alike. Without cheating and using admin tools to look at the name of the grid, the only choice is to push the button and hope that it doesn't explode.

Personally, if I was ever going to use this mod again I'd probably blacklist all of these to prevent them from even spawning. The tiny amount of rare materials they might contain aren't even close to worth dealing with the hassle or the massive craters they create every time you guess wrong.

Very informative. Guess I'll just be using them as bombing practice from here on out. Thanks.
