So I tried to goof around with the PERFORMANCE and SETTING tabs. The Performance boxes (units, research, and something else) do not work. You hover and it says Right Click to See countries., no matter, nothing triggers any part of these three. I click on the SETTING tab, it will not open.
I also noticed that when I started, even the notification icons at the top center took a while to pop up. There is something seriously wrong with this.

HOI4's game engine only really cares about 4 CPU cores. More helps but vastly diminishing returns. Taureor tested extensively using a 16 core AMD 3950x. BICE makes the game exponentially more CPU heavy than vanilla. All you can really do is overclock.

Comments said the 1.07 was good to go. That was the problem, it worked but at the insane slow pace described above. I therefore went back to 1.05 and now it works perfect. Thank you.

Hi Bob. Everything is great since I switched to 1.05. But I was wondering how that new window worked.., so the pointing arrow next to the trashcan. I did not try that, I was selecting countries on the map.., which did not work. Maybe I will check that out later. Thanks again.

Took a break, shut down HOI and Steam. Started back up about 1.5 hours later.., game was super slow again! So I stayed with it for about 2 weeks, then shut down HOI 4 and steam. This team, could not bring it back up. Just a white screen. F!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a great PC and have never had a problem with HOI 4, or any game now that I think of it. This is a first and I am sure it is due to launcher and version.., etc.., DAMN-IT!!! All this time wasted. Thanks for reading..,crap!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everytime, I shut down game, I do the "VALIDATING" files thing. I do not even know what that means, but it seems to work.., at least for me.., who knows, I am good.

How would i turn back the mod to the 1.05 patch?? Or are you referring to 1.10.5 for hoi4?

I need more info as to where this is? In game, startup, Steam, Task Manager in Windows etc etc?

So I start the game and there I can chose
Single - Continue, New G, Load, Tutorial, Back
Multi
Options - Same as in game, no performance
Credits
Quit

If I chose new game there are just the countries to chose from
Once I start a game there is a performance choice in the Open the Expert AI Config, do you mean there?

Sorry, dont see a performance tab and I assume its not in Steam cause I cant find it there either

Now that I am using 1.10.5, I have about 40 more hours on BICE and it works great. I know my messages above were wonky, but I think that was the game.., at that time. Again, past 1.5 weeks with over 40 more hours, using the 1.10.5 is working great!
