Description
Do you want to build a foul gnob-cave filled to the brim with dirty goblins? Do you want to RP as dwarves from dwarf fortress? Do you hear the drum beats and bell tolls as the vile force of darkness approaches?

Adds a new xenotype, the gnoblins - a race of short, green, and raucous humanoids. Gnoblins hail from the suffocating insides of some distant forgeworld, being perfectly adapted for quickly darting in and out of maintenance shafts and foundry exhausts. Perfectly designed for guerrilla warfare, zerg-rush tactics, or just general mischief.

Cook chemfuel down into 'shard' to fuel your gnoblins, or go the more heinous route and turn corpses into the cruder 'dreg'.

Face the green tide with either the shard-addicted gnoblin punks with their guns and rockets or the endless legions of the medieval gnoblin horde.

Cultivate your own horde with a breeding populace for fast-developing gnoblins to feed headfirst into the battlefield, or use your gnoblins to kite raiders and pick off the weak before they can even retaliate - regardless, something malicious is always brewing with the gnoblins.




Two new genes: "Extreme dwarfism", & "Rapid development", 'extreme dwarfism' reduces butcher yield and social impact, & 'rapid development' dramatically increases growth speed but shortens overall lifespan.

A new drug type, shard; which can either be obtained by boiling down chemfuel at a drugs-lab, or fermenting corpses in a dreg-coffin. Dreg is the cruder and more dangerous version of the more refined shard.

And two new medieval tier weapons: the 'tox spear' & 'tox pots', the tox spear applies toxic buildup if it breaks the skin, and tox pots act as medieval tox grenades.



Q - "Are they balanced?"
A - Yep, just watch out for the medieval gnob's, they can quickly overrun you if you're not ready for them.

Q - "Where can I get my filthy goblin hands on these new weapons??"
A - The "dreg-production" research, which unlocks the gnoblin weapons and dreg-coffins for creating the dreg the weapons (and gnoblins) need.

Q - "Are you open to suggestions?"
A - Absolutely!

Q - "Will there be any special features down the line?"
A - Maybe. Events like gnoblins coming to kidnap the colonies children, or an addon mod for gnoblin armor/weapons. General Dwarf Fortress related events.

Q - "Will you make more quasi-fantasy races?"
A - Yes. Elves, skaven, crow-people, etc. are all on the list.

Suggestion: the gnoblins talk about their lives, (if living in a mountain) talk about how they live in the mountain, and etc. also make it work with text bubble mod :steamhappy:

@Vectrix Oh okay lmao, though tbh I think the base intimacy mod covers everything pretty well from what I've seen, and I'm not the best with #C cross-mod patches so I don't wanna break anything.

Your mod is currently unplayable to me in 1.6, when i try to start my new colony and i choose the scenario i click "next" and the button doesn't work, in the beginning i thought it was conflicting with another mod since i'm using with other 30, but when i tried to only use Gnoblins, VEF and Harmony the problem persisted

Vanilla Expanded Framework has been updated and it seems they've changed quite a bit of things. Mods that use VEF gotta be updated to match it.
