Cold War Resistance Part 1

Description
"Cold War: Resistance" is a reimagined version of the original ArmA 1 campaigns from Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis and it's expansion called Operation Flashpoint: Resistance, situated on the map of Gabreta made by the team behind ČSLA: Iron Curtain DLC. If you don´t own the DLC, you can watch the gameplay on my YouTube.

It is inspired by the 21st August of 1968, when tanks of the former SSSR invaded ČSSR. In this alternate reality, a resistance formed from people who where not willing to give up their freedom easily. The war even caught up Viktor Troska who wanted after his years of servioce, just peace. On the other side of the Iron Curtain is Corporal David Armstrong, a NATO soldier, who is patiently waiting to come home.

All credit to the team that made the the ČSLA: Iron Curtain DLC, Cold War Crisis III, CWR3: Resistance Part 1 and Part 2 and Red Hammer Campaigns modders. The map "Gabreta" is really superb and it inspired me to create this reimagined or remastered versions of the original campaigns. In stead of two campaigns, I find a way and a filled out a story, that cross-over these two memorable campaigns into one single experience.

If there are any issues you run up, do let me know here, on steam, in the comments. Also my advice, just try to restart the game, its ArmA after wall, but thats why we loved it.
I have been playing these games from the begining and it was my child dream to just re-create the original campaigns from scratch. After 20 years, I decided to fulfill this dream.

Hi Kloon68. You are right. There were some updates in some mods, and some of the Virtual Objects doesnt load up. I would have to rescript the intro mission, but currently I dont have time to update this. Currently I would focus only on bugs reported for Part II. But thank you for the report! Much appriciated!

@psifena(Ghost): Greetings. Could You please share any insight regarding the 1st mission intro movie question? Also, Thank You for the outstanding reimagined campaign. It s pretty nostalgic for Us that are playing OpF since circa 2001. Regards.

Greetings. Just a heads up. The intro movie in the first mission August 21st. 1986 as seen in Your youtube playthrough of the mission does not play at the start of the mission, it goes straight to the map screen and actual start of the mission at the office building. Is it intentional or is it a bug.? Tested with only required addons. Regards.

Thank you for the kind words! I hope you enjoy the Part II as well! It is more action paced, but there are some night missions, sabotage, convoy defend, hostage rescue with random positions and even espionage style mission... and ofcourse, I added the carryover campaign system of weapons and ammo for each faction separatly. And yes, if you steal a ammo truck or even a tank, it can help you in next missions! ... and less mods :] which was the biggest request from Part 1

@psifena(Ghost) - You're welcome! Oh, it not bother me, I was just thinking of others coming here and expecting the dev to be 'abc' yet, they see 'xyz'. Would hate that you 'lost out' due to that. :)

I will be getting 'Part 2' as soon as I finish this, as you did do a good job in 'Part 1'! :)

I know also a lot of others were waiting for 'Part 2' as well!

I wish you all the best with 'Part 2' and I hope it is even a bigger success than 'Part 1' is!

"Mr Johnny Roo"


So people will know they have the 'right mod' when they come to Steam and see your page ;)
