1) Subscribe to the mod
2) Open the game and navigate to it on the mod list, click the 'advanced' button and 'open folder'
3) Open the 'About' folder and edit the 'About' document with notepad
4) Under <supportedVersion> add <li>1.6</li> under <li>1.5</li>
Now, I don't know if this part is strictly required, but I'm going to add these last two steps just in case.
5) in the base mod folder, make a folder called '1.6'
6) copy and paste the contents of the '1.5' folder into the '1.6' folder.
All done! Now the bridges mod should work fine in 1.6
