Thanks for the answer. The mod is very interesting, I'll be happy to play with it.

@Herald Paster , I've discontinued this mod but Mlie has a continuation of it that appears to be up to date. It's linked bellow in a comment, and also at the top of this mod's description

Good evening. Will this mod be updated to version 1.4?

@Mlie , added to description. Thanks

For anyone interested, I've created an updated version of Quantum Cooling, which you can find here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2293503296

Still works in 1.2 im using it still loving it.
Do0m[y] Oct 1, 2020 @ 1:08pm
Can you, please, update your mod for the version 1.2?
Thank you in advance!
Demonlord09 Sep 14, 2020 @ 12:01pm
We'll see I suppose.
John DOTA Sep 5, 2020 @ 6:40am
does it still work with 1.2?
安排上了 Sep 4, 2020 @ 10:17pm
update 1.2 please, I'm very like this mod
Toast Aug 16, 2020 @ 1:03pm
would also really like a 1.2 update
jtjumper Aug 14, 2020 @ 12:22am
Obligatory mention of 1.2.

Nevermind, when I'll build an Hi-tech research bench it should all go fine

Is there some kind of upper limit to how hot these can make a room? I'm having trouble getting above around 250F and adding more heaters doesn't seem to push it any higher. I was trying to incinerate the contains of a room. In comparison, a single molotov can lit a corpse pile room up to over 800F.

http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-2966 Pfh yeah forgot about that. But this thing would be really funny to have since we are discussing the conversion of matter and energy. Infinite wood supply from power.
Honshitsu  [author] Apr 4, 2020 @ 6:10pm
This would be something more akin to a zeeman decelerator, but we just pretend like the entropy goes away rather than being conserved xD
Honshitsu  [author] Apr 4, 2020 @ 6:06pm
I think that would violate the second law of thermodynamics xD and maybe others... But, the only way to generate electrical energy from thermal energy would be thru a temperature gradient where the total entropy would increase. You can't just suck up heat and produce ordered electrons...

But that's more probable than how I have it now lol
AlienAnthony Apr 4, 2020 @ 5:15pm
Just thought it would be funny but i thought you may wanna know if you WERE gonna use some logic on how quantum physics works to cool down a room you can make the coolers PRODUCE energy because it would be conversion of heat into electricity.

Thank you for this great mod! I absolutely like it in late game when my base grow large.

@Aion Algos
hello running though mods on my list and try to help authors to optimize their mods =)

can you group you Quantum cooler
and quantum heater into 2 slots =)

you can do it by adding

in top of your def:
<DesignatorDropdownGroupDef>
<defName>Drowdown_name_here</defName>
</DesignatorDropdownGroupDef>

and this to item or base.
<designatorDropdown>Drowdown_name_here</designatorDropdown>

i already done it on my mods, and got kv to do it to rimfridge and climate controls and more =)
lets all make rimworld less cluttered please =)
YangKeren Mar 23, 2020 @ 5:37am
@danny for my self ? use 20 AC not enough for mega base T_T
Honshitsu  [author] Mar 15, 2020 @ 9:19pm
@Danny highly efficient coolers and heaters capable of heating and cooling to either very extreme temperatures, or very large areas. More energy efficient than making tons of heaters or coolers. Also, no exhaust from coolers, so you can put them anywhere without needing to vent; for example, perfect for use in a mountain base.
Danny Mar 15, 2020 @ 3:44pm
waiiit so what's the point of this mod? no offense to you for making it, i can see the hard work in it, but what are the applicable purposes?
Honshitsu  [author] Feb 25, 2020 @ 2:49pm
Updated for 1.1, old versions can be downloaded from the forum https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=26590.0
Talisman1973 Feb 24, 2020 @ 4:40am
I am hoping this will be updated to 1.1 in the near future?
Mezz Feb 23, 2020 @ 7:27pm
I like the concept of this mod. If it had better graphics, it'd be an A+.

Maybe reach out to Pooler for a better graphic?

He's the one who made this mod.

@Viridye , yes, probably
Viridye Feb 22, 2020 @ 9:26am
Will you upgrade this for 1.1?
Honshitsu  [author] Feb 8, 2020 @ 4:07pm
I'm glad you're all enjoying it :D
D-Dub Feb 8, 2020 @ 6:28am
Oh how much fun I had with this mod. Pairing it with Locks, I would make a nice freezebox for the biggest raids. I have spent hours just farting around with this. Now that I just got back into the game and playng a colony legitimately, I might just have to pick it up again. I jist loved the simplicity of it. I owed you so much appreciation back then for this fun mod.

I am doing 100- Temp challenge, The heat will keep my peps from dying (Thanks to robots I wont suffer lol)

Very cool , hot mod thanks. XD
Honshitsu  [author] Aug 10, 2019 @ 5:50pm
@Black Jesus , yes, they behave just like regular heaters and coolers
Black Jesus Aug 10, 2019 @ 4:45pm
Does this allow you to designate a target temperature?

I think the large quantum heater is broken. I put 4 of them in a fully isolated 7x4 room and it only reached 120 degrees celsius.
"The" SeanMacLeod Mar 15, 2019 @ 2:31am
@Chikami
The boldface white text under the thumbnail pic at the upper right of the big pic says so.
Chikami Mar 15, 2019 @ 2:22am
OKay to go in 1.0? :D
Honshitsu  [author] Jan 9, 2019 @ 12:27am
it shouldnt be more efficient (in terms of materials and power), but it does take far less space.
Gavril Jan 8, 2019 @ 9:45pm
so, um, is the quantum heater more efficient or something? Otherwise, fan-flippin-tastic mod!
Zhadow Glaive(Lord Tola) Dec 27, 2018 @ 9:13am
never mind caused by another mod
Zhadow Glaive(Lord Tola) Dec 27, 2018 @ 8:40am
my small guantum is power need is at a constant 5k is that normal
TheJinx Dec 22, 2018 @ 10:05am
That's a uh...confusing statement
ScrambieBambie Nov 23, 2018 @ 5:01am
You do know the quantum as presented "right now" is a scam? The "other point of reference" is something you "don't want to ♥♥♥♥ with" thing.
You will see soon yourself...but for meantime...
...subbed. Good idea =)
hellbiter88 Nov 2, 2018 @ 9:55pm
Thank you for adding heating :)
Honshitsu  [author] Oct 28, 2018 @ 3:45pm
@wforbussiness , that's a great idea, however it would require some C# hackery (likely, read set temp, if negative output negative EPS, if possitive, etc etc etc)

I'd really like that too, however, this is an XML-only mod and doesn't add any new game behavior, like the behavior required to make an all-in-one thermal solution. I'd like to, but I don't know enough of how rimworld C# works off the top of my head to do it, and I hate C# enough to make me not want to learn.

TL;DR sorry, it's stuck as it is xD
