This has some good ideas but also a lot of space for improvement. It's quite convoluted with a lot of backtracking needed if you make a mistake. After 1,5 hrs I'm giving up on it since the jump towards the exit seems to be broken (this is like 20th try). Not sure if it's because of the gap in the speed gel but I spent like good 5 minutes just trying to cover the whole strip and this is the best result I got. That's some serious design flaw IMHO. That last jump required overly precise portal placement. Other than that, it was great.

This is a great, logical, fun, tricky, challenging map. I think getting trapped or finding out you are missing something is part of the challenge. In the original game it was almost impossible to proceed before you had all your resources. This made the maps very progressive and almost "on the rails". I suppose that made the game very popular. With a little experience, however, a map like this one is more fulfulling! Thanks for your work!

cool map, but you should know to leave the laser cube in the laser room. I brought all the stuff to the end and had to use cheats to not start over from the beginning. also autosave.

This is really a great map! Having three companions and journeying with them through rooms was enjoyable. But that damn sphere definitely KNOWS how to be a jerk. Loves to throw itself into acid and fizzlers, and even get in the laser's path.
I failed to land on the faith plate a couple of times, but I learned the lesson and used quick save after a few tries to not have to go back and fetch all the buddies again.
I especially liked the ending, it puzzled me for a moment. Playing with gel projection angles was fun too.
Oh and by the way, I didn't find any exploit-- at least I got the feeling I've solved things the "official" way ;)

I'm learning to read the comments on WSG's early maps before playing. If the author says it's terrible, I'll take his or her word for it.

Fun map makes you pay attention

Just watched the walkthrough, I would have gotten all of that eventually, but I brought the laser cube with me and I didn't want to go back and get them AGAIN. (I already returned to get them again once after the initial collection, I wasn't going to get them a third time) I got to say, this map is really a pain if not done so precisely, and I'm not sure of a way to fix it, not that i want to try to think of one at this point. You're a great map maker and player, but this one leaves much to be desired. 5/10

I created a guide that shows where the chamber went wrong:

It's terrible compared to my newer work.

Nice chamber!

Another great chamber, thumbs up.

You could make this chamber a little bit harder by adding a cube button for the exit.

My first four chambers were not nearly as good as what I try to come up with today.

Potential problems:
> If a cube gets lost late in the play, it's kinda punishing to the player.
> The fling path got to be a bit irritating (probably requires Hammer to fix though).

Hit the grating near the exit close to 95% of the times, found this getting really annoying. Tried several different portal placements, got myself up there just once, which happened to be my first try. Only way I got it done the 2nd time was by adding a jump on top of the angled panel. Even then I needed like 4 tries. I did close to always hit the faith plate though, no probs with that. All the symbols give it a messy 1st impression, but after you take a minute or 2 to observe the chamber, it doesn't seem to be that messy after all. Certainly not a bad chamber :)

One of my favorites. Great puzzles. I liked having to traverse several chambers before I saw a cube. Ingenius delivery system for the cubes. Trial and error getting them to the first chamber. I managed. Great ending. All the chambers looked good. Hope you'll find time for another of mine .

Yeah, I found that to be a problem too when testing it. In its current spot gives the best results, believe it or not. The puzzle editor doesn't give me much control of that, unfortunately. That is why I give test subjects a little extra room on that wall with the target to reposition the portal. It works when positioned right.
