The idea of smaller craft such as torpedo boats and costal patrol boats would be a great addition, as most nations with some sort of coastline would have some. It would be a good idea for minors to defend their costal waters, as well as allowing major countries to fend off naval invasions while the main fleets deal with enemy ships. This is an amazing mod, and i hope you continue to work on it!

This mod sounds awesome. Love the care and respect for thew older ships. They were still effective. Look at The U.S.S. Texas for example.

I don't suppose you'd like to make a mod that adds PT Boats only? The motor patrol boats played a small but significant role.

Apologies for the lack of updates, but unfortunately development is on hold until the AI gets a little better. I recognize this isnt as much of an issue with NRM as it is with ERM, but I'm putting both on hold for now. There may be an NRM update at some point before I start up ERM again, but no promises.

If anyone wants to use any of the NRM stuff for their own mods, feel free.

when i load germany im showing 2xbismark class ships...on as a t3 (with scharnhorst class dialogue but bismark class abilities) and t4...both have the same stats but as i mentioned one has a scharnhorst write up the other has the bismark...when i load usa im noting that u have their
main sub line as coastal?...im fairly certain those were deep water subs since they operated all over the pacific...also noting that prior to the alaska class bc the two preceding classes are marked as pocket battleships...did the usa really have PB's as a class of warships they were interested in? just curious about the last point

After the new patch:
The mod crashes the game when you try to tweak the new difficulty modifiers. I have tried with only this mod loaded. Most likely because of the changes done to the naval part of the game after the patch.

Wait for it to be patched to use it.

Torpedo Boats would be an awsome addition for smaller countries to combat larger ships. especially if they are hard to hit due to thier small size and speed.

what are the "naval combat design factors", and in what are they different from "naval stats", please?

@Adar1, I doubt it, given that this mod adjusts NFs, tech trees and a few other things that are likely to be adjusted by Fox and Lion, but you can always give it a go and see.

I concur with @kluckmeister, I am unable to build any carriers because the research tree is missing the early stage carriers.

Perhaps this was covered already; however, I noticed that when playing as Germany I am unable to create any carriers as the first two or three classes of carriers are missing under the reseach tree and I cannot just start with the first listed carrier as it requires earlier carriers that, as stated, cannot be created as they are missing from the tree.

Could you include a way for more naval XP to be earned by sinking convoys and subs specifically? Did a couple long runs using subs as my main force and the amount of naval XP I got never reached 100 for any of the plays even though I had used them to destroy Brit and US's fleets.

Anything else that modifies the naval tech trees is going to conflict really badly with this, sorry.
I may look at ships that extend out into the 50s when I look at early Cold War stuff for ERM, but it will be a while before that.

and could you perhaps add fictional names to some of the warships so it's not genericly named 'light carrier ii'?
