1. Open steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf - tf2_misc_dir.vpk in GCFscape or crowbar.
2. Extract the "materials" folder into steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\tf
3. Open steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf -tf2_textures_dir.vpk
2. Extract the "materials" folder into steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\tf

You don't mind if I add you and message you more details about this in DMs?
This seems a bit confusing to me
мяFunreal  [author] Sep 23, 2022 @ 2:42pm
i'd just extract the materials from tf2's ****_dir.vpk's into sfm.
☾ Dani 💔 Sep 23, 2022 @ 2:40pm
Weird...Shouldn't SFM already do that?
if not then mind helping me about it?
мяFunreal  [author] Sep 23, 2022 @ 2:38pm
You probably didn't extract the textures of tf2 to sfm. Not really sure tbh.
I made this 6 years ago and it worked for me

The entire model has Missing Textures, why is this??
мяFunreal  [author] May 29, 2022 @ 6:37am
like any others. it just replaces the existing models.
Ark May 28, 2022 @ 5:55pm
I cant find the models besides the computer walls. How can I use these in SFM?
Weirdo2121 Aug 10, 2020 @ 5:50am
cool thanks

The only ones that work are the powerhouse ones, and even then it's mostly missing textures besides the lights. Any way to fix this?
Driftard Sep 28, 2019 @ 4:56am
It doesn't work for me. None of the lights are showing up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :batarang:

I dont know if they have fixed this yet but for the people that have missing textures look through the files in both tf2_misc_dir.vpk and tf2_textures_dir.vpk and take the material file from them and pasted them into the materials files in source film maker. to do this you will need VTFEdit and GCFScape so you can open both tf2_misc_dir.vpk and tf2_textures_dir.vpk make sure to open them in GCFScape so you can find the files named powerhouse and mining which you then just paste into sourcefilmaker > Game > tf > models > (then whichever props_ it goes to) :balloonicorn:

Pretty much everything with powerhouse.
мяFunreal  [author] Jun 11, 2016 @ 3:35am
on what models exactly are the textures not working?
Shade Jun 11, 2016 @ 3:18am
This Addon is really useful and amazing, but i have the same problem with the computer wall missing textures, i did however import the powerhouse like you said, but didn't work, any tips what to do?

Thanks.
мяFunreal  [author] Jun 2, 2016 @ 10:01am
They all use TF2 textures. The ones i used are from the "new" Powerhouse map. so you'll need to either re-import all TF2 textures or just import the folder "materials\models\props_powerhouse"
Mister Sniper Jun 1, 2016 @ 4:48pm
The consoles and computers are working except the gray wall console it just shows an missing texture :(
мяFunreal  [author] May 16, 2016 @ 4:38am
The video is recorded in TF2. if you want the textures, i was using the pack in the following link.

strawbunny May 13, 2016 @ 8:28pm
for the vid, did you record this inside sfm or in tf2?? the viewmodel has the sfm one and ive been looking for where to get the hd version of it
kozz May 10, 2016 @ 3:20pm
I can fall asleep listening to the ambience.
This is amazing.
1200 hrs seeker player May 9, 2016 @ 4:33am
that is awesome :o

did you use sine waves or animated textures?
Infomaniac May 7, 2016 @ 5:42pm
How did you do it on Gmod?
76561198091181570 May 7, 2016 @ 6:13am
it's not working for me :(
☾Moonman221998☽™ Apr 27, 2016 @ 11:29am
I tested this out in sfm and garrys mod and it looks amazing, it adds so much to the world of tf2, all i can say is you did an amazing job on this mod.
getheth Apr 20, 2016 @ 5:42pm
to be honest valve sould add these animations to tf2 itself because it would give the game so much more atmosphere/enviroment
Infomaniac Apr 19, 2016 @ 4:28pm
You're a God!
apple Apr 19, 2016 @ 11:15am
good job !!!
LandyRS Apr 18, 2016 @ 11:17am
Oh, alright. That's the original artist's fault, then. Guess I didn't notice it before
мяFunreal  [author] Apr 18, 2016 @ 9:51am
i didn't make the textures of those things. i really only made textures for the lights and the screens. the metal is still the same.
LandyRS Apr 17, 2016 @ 10:57pm
They need a little bit of texture to them - they look flat. I'd suggest square brush strokes much like the rocket launcher or something.

Regardless, they look wonderful. You did a really good job on making them look...alive, I guess.
Bonathan Boger Apr 16, 2016 @ 6:37pm

These lights don't do crap! -Spaceballs
мяFunreal  [author] Apr 16, 2016 @ 3:13am
i don't have to. those literally replace the props that every map uses.
Just make a map and have this mod installed in TF2 or SFM and you're done.
[FL] TheSiphon Apr 15, 2016 @ 10:55pm
That is awesome! Will you release them for mapping community one day?
Zomb3Red Apr 15, 2016 @ 7:26pm
2016 here we go
Kumquat [Velbud] Apr 15, 2016 @ 7:17pm
Pretty, but I would recommend also rigging some stuff, like the buttons and wheels. It would be more useful and multimanageable in SFM.
