"Invalid IL code in ApocDev.CitySkylines.Mod.FireSpread:DoFireSpread (): IL_010c: and

Then I had to use Task Manager to end task on Cities.exe and then remove this MOD and the game ran fine again.

any update on the mod progress? it makes a lot of difference playing without it.

Please update!!!
Michiko Feb 26, 2016 @ 1:26am
Should be noted also that it doesn't work with the latest patch, the free one without the DLC. So even if you don't have the DLC don't use this yet until it gets updated.
Digmin3 Feb 21, 2016 @ 5:04am
Yeah, it has to be update

Mod just needs to be updated for snowfal is all. He'll get to it

This keeps causing an error when I try to load my city with the new Snowfall DLC; anyone else?
patrioticparadox Feb 18, 2016 @ 3:33pm
@marxduck that is actually exactly why I love this mod. Fires can very easily get out of hand, especially in highly congested areas. You need MORE than enough firetrucks/houses. After installing this I started a new city and went about business as usual using the same number of stations that barely covered the area but in vanilla was plenty enough to get by. Big mistake. While refining a new residential area I zoomed out for a second to look at the rest of the city and over ten percent of the buildings were burning in my Industrial district. The engines were all out and about putting out fires but they just couldn't keep pace with the flames. I have since doubled the number of stations and have no problems keeping the fires in check. Fires are dangerous and this mods makes you have to honor that. That is why I love it!

This is not working for Snowfall

Where can i finde the config file?!
spacemarx Feb 4, 2016 @ 6:21am
I find that fire spreads too quickly. I have quite a large city and a hell of a lot of fire engines. The simply put the fire out too slowly, so while they're busting their arse saving one building, 5 burn down. It's not a matter of traffic flow - the fire fighters are there, they just can't put it out quick enough.

Unfortunately I must unsubscribe
Kombat Wombat Jan 31, 2016 @ 4:05am
I like the concept of this mod, is there a way/chance to put some settings in to say, decrease fire spread by 50%? Otherwise you risk burning down half the city.
Michiko Jan 17, 2016 @ 7:01am
Before you get this mod, make sure your fire stations are set up already. Look at the roads and see if they can reach everything properly. Don't just look at the green mark in the info view. Try to look at the actual flow of the traffic, including accounting for stop lights, speed limits (if you use Traffic++ for example) and where they'll be passing and all that.

I learned that lesson the hard way, as I had an inner-city high density district burn 3 buildings at once before a single fire engine could get there. Before the other fire engines could get through the traffic the other two buildings already burned down.

Anyway the mod works fine. I don't think it's too fast in its default settings so I haven't had to adjust it. I think the fire spreads at a reasonable rate, and if you have the fire stations set up properly like I mentioned, it shouldn't be too big a deal. I mean we add these "difficulty" mods so that we have to think a little harder about how we set up our cities, right?
kingBigfootia Oct 17, 2015 @ 6:15am
I downloaded this mod and now my entire city is burning, I can't even load the save anymore:steamsad:
Finwickle Oct 3, 2015 @ 12:20pm
Fire spreads fine for me in After Dark. A bit too fine, so I'm gonna fiddle with the config file. Dynamic config through options would be very cool.
roberto tomás Sep 30, 2015 @ 7:26am
Please consider sharing the source on github! I'd like the config file to be accesible in options so much that I am tempted to add it myself.
DeaNoMeaN Sep 27, 2015 @ 3:36am
Hi are you thinking on updating this mod?
Thanks
Legatus Sep 25, 2015 @ 9:07am
Doesn't seem to work on my game. (with After Dark free update) Fire never spreads.
Finwickle Sep 11, 2015 @ 3:19pm
Very nice mod. Now fire actually means something.

Gives some interesting fires now and then, especially if all the fire trucks are stuck behind... a firetruck extinguishing a fire. 90 Percent of my industrial district burned down. Great times! :-)

BayneRav May 31, 2015 @ 5:04pm
Probbly arson, jk no really proper hardness with vanilla hard mode and this... yea think doomed to be in the red with inadaquate fire protection and not enough budget to afford fire stations every 25 squares...

Still it looks alot more realistic then a fire without the mod just burning to ash without any spread associated from countless tests with low fire protection, no smoke detector policy and the bare minimum for contentment on citizens to not just pack up and leave.

Looking forward to an enhanced fire truck AI mod as really finding alot of help with garbage and hearse collection from emf's mod

1.10 compatible?
Nocturnal Supremacy May 12, 2015 @ 3:11am
Great mod - should be merged into vanilla by devs.
leftbehind Apr 17, 2015 @ 9:36am
Would it be possible to integrate this mod with Traffic++ mod, so that when traffic speeds are altered by Traffic++ the fire spreading is decreased a little?

Pseudocode:

If Traffic++ mod has altered traffic speeds then {
reduce fire spreading by 50% of whatever it currently is
}

It would allow the existing config options to remain intact, but seamlessly handle reduced traffic speed mode if enabled in Traffic++ mod.

I can see the police!
Crax Apr 7, 2015 @ 8:13am
What are the initial chances that it will spread? Also, source?
BadPeanut  [developer] Apr 3, 2015 @ 6:40am
Well I don't really know why, but when this mod is installed I can't see the policies, when uninstalled, I can?
Apoc  [author] Apr 3, 2015 @ 6:29am
@BadPeanut; this mod does not touch any UIs whatsoever. Please check your other mods.
BadPeanut  [developer] Apr 3, 2015 @ 4:42am
seems to remove the interface that pops up for policies
Apoc  [author] Apr 1, 2015 @ 5:45am
That's very weird indeed. I'll look into it LSD. Thanks for the report.
LSD-fueled Dolphin Handjobs Mar 31, 2015 @ 3:21pm
@apocdev - coverage in that case wasn't the issue, but traffic was. With such large fires, engines arriving at the first fire will often block the ones behind. Trucks have a decent range of spray, sure, but it seems like the game assigns "ownership" of on-fire buildings to specific fire trucks - if the truck destined for that building is blocked somewhere, there is no backup coverage from another station that might also be nearby.

Also, another (possibly related?) bug - I swear there are occasions where, even though the game is paused, an existing fire seems to spread. This sounds insane, I know - but I've watched it happen twice. Not sure how to reproduce the bug. What happened just now to me was that I came off an unpause after major highway reconstruction nearby, and a medium sized fire immediately began spreading out of control -- new buildings caught fire within 1 second of coming into spread range and continued spreading until the game crashed.

Very weird.

pls make an tutorial to configure the mod^^
he dosnt work for me
SharKill Mar 29, 2015 @ 6:50am
Good enough, thank you. I'm playing with this mod all the time now, I love it :)
Apoc  [author] Mar 29, 2015 @ 5:28am
@SharKill; it's mainly if you'd like to modify the overall chance of anything happening at all. Eg; if you want a lot more fires for all reasons, you modify a single parameter. Same goes for toning it back.

Use of a "global modifier" is just something from my day-job where I'm working with games that actually do calculations in that way (which is generally good practice as it allows finer-grain control)
SharKill Mar 28, 2015 @ 3:35pm
There's no point in having this parameter: FireSpreadModifier. You should hardcode it to 0.01; it would just be easier and we just have to take care of the percentages.
Very nice mode though ;) Thank you for it!
Apoc  [author] Mar 25, 2015 @ 9:32pm
@LSD; looks like you need better fire coverage, and/or roads.

That said, I've been looking into how to make the fire engine AI be less "EVERYONE GET TO ONE BUILDING!" and spread out better. If a single truck can handle a building, only a single truck should go there. Not 3+. This is where most of the major issues come from.

@Eriatarka; glad you like it!
Eriatarka Mar 25, 2015 @ 3:32pm
I downloaded this mod. An industry caught fire, then the fire spread to the other industrial buildings, so the firemen came, started extinguishing the first fire, blocking the road so all the other firetrucks are stuck. Industrial zone is now a giant fireball. I start to bulldoze the burned down blocks, but since there are so few industries left the demand is very high, so they start building on the newly available blocks, immediatly catching fire. The fireball has become self-sustaining.

10/10 awesome mod
LSD-fueled Dolphin Handjobs Mar 25, 2015 @ 12:26am
this is an excellent mod - however I think there may be a bug that causes fires to start spreading out of control (alternatively all of my cim firemen are braindead). Mod worked as expected the first few days I played with it, however, within the last couple hours at least a dozen fires have started in completely separate sections of town and quickly spread to 10+ buildings... not sure if this is simply a weird string of random occurences or something bugged out.

Screenshot for the kind of fires I'm talking about (and like I said, imagine this in 8-10 places on opposite sides of a town within the space of a few hours): http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/708529391504650094/192761F2DF24B419F028A45DAC45649DF532D5C0/

didnt work for me.
idealcastle Mar 21, 2015 @ 8:08pm
This should be default within the core of the game. why would fires be so contained to one building only.
