Takes lots of hours to get used to. Braking is a nightmare with this mod, but funny in creative worlds where you can drive a ship onto something without dying upon impact,

No idea why but this mod broke the brakes on my train with wheels. Removed the mod from the list and the handbrake is actually stopping the train now.

I take it back, looks like my test world mysteriously disabled all mods after the update. Re-tested and found it working just fine. My apologies.

This doesn't appear to work with the Economy update. The game loads fine, but my speed is still capped at 100/110 m/s.

@Screaming Angels: Thanks for the info. I recently just started a new World including this mod and now most of them either slightly stick in the earth or land (kind of) properly.

Still i might take a look at the configurable one.

@MetalErrisch [S-LP] : Unfortunately this is just a simple maximum ship speed mod.

If you wish to avoid smashing drop pods and container drops with skins, then you might want to try my Configurable Ship speed mod.

Is it just me or are the random drop pods (the ones with buttons) often to fast to actually land on the ground?

Of 8 hours gametime on the earthlike planet only one pod survived the landing. All the otthers seem to smashe through the planet and instantly disappear.

Still a pretty awesome mod.

I ran into an issue with blueprint handling when this mod is enabled:
* CREATIVE mode: Blueprint PASTE from BP list no longer works (the BP'd grid never shows)
* Blueprint projectors fail to actually project anything. The BP'd grid never shows after selecting it and clicking OK.

I don't think this is mods. I am having this problem now with NO mods on. I have the Creative BP problem. By online coop partner is having the projector problem

@sir_lancealittle : Silly me. I have so many speed mods, I thought this was the configurable speed mod. As the configurable one is more complex, I was concerned.

But this speed mod.. the Unlimted and speed specific ones only do one thing. And that is change the Havok Engine's maximum velocity limiter for grids.
It does not affect anything else in game or general gameplay.
There should be no issues with blueprints.

I've been doing some more testing, and it's time to confess I'm not sure anymore if it's really your particular mod causing the issues. It's why I was asking if anyone else is experiencing failures around the topic of blueprints and projectors.

I'll keep testing, maybe I can isolate the issue.

Not sure if this has to do with a recent game update or maybe is an odd result of several mods combined, but:
after disabling the speed mod, BP handling worked fine again.

I tried to edit this locally to change the speed limits but for some reason its not working at all. :P Any chance you can add me so I can send you what I did and find out where it went wrong?

I was also hoping to use this with your permission with my own speed mod values.

@DoomLord - Alt : Do you have have a Collector block on your ship?
There is a game issue, where the block causes the exact issue you described when travelling over 200 m/s.
This issue will happen with ALL max speed mods.

I logged this issue with Keen, and it will be fixed in the next game release.

I'm told, a lot of new players may be caught up with this new "Experimental" mode in the latest release of the game.
You can't add mods unless you turn it on.
In the main game menu, go to "Options", then "Game". And make sure "Experimental mod" is marked.

@ModernScience! : I'm not seeing that issue. I'm looking at the latest version of the game, 1.186.500.
The wheel "speed limit" sliders range from 0 to 359 km/h, and then jump to "Unlimited".
You can also manually input the wheel speed limit by using Ctrl Left Click on the slider.

@Screaming Angels What I mean is that the min and max values for the slider are determined by the top speed of the server.... so like, if I want my max speed of my wheel to be 100mps, I simply cant adjust the slider to it, because the slider ranges from like 0 to half the speed of light. So a single pixel of the slider represents like 80k meters per second.

@ModernScience! : I haven't heard of any issues with wheels and driving speeds.
Those speed sliders are only for the driving speed of those individual wheels, not the maximum travelling speed of all grids.

Does this have the problem with the wheels and other blocks which have speed options (like safety lock speeds and whatnot) via sliders? They seem to base their min and max values on something related to the top speeds, so adjusting those sliders become basically impossible to use.

@Dicrew! : the transparency of the vector indicator appears to be directly related to the current speed / max speed.
Which kind of means that at the low end of 150,000,000, the indicator is near invisible.
This is a game feature unfortunately, and not within my control.

I'll log a bug with KeenSWH, but it probably won't be changed any time soon.
If it's a real issue for you, I can only suggest using a slower speed mod.

If any of the current speeds are not suitable, you might want to try my configurable speed mod.

When i add this mod to my server i can't see the vector/cursor of direction of travel indicator.

I tested:
-Vanilla (I can see vector indicator)
-Vanila + this mod (I can't see vector indicator)

Artificial horizont shows in both tests. Could you fix it?

Too bad rockets keep their usual speed no matter how fast I am. With some speeds they just destroy your ship.

When i hit a certain speed my ship starts spinning out of control, lol. Even turning off gyrostabl. i still start spinning and end up dumping speed. Help plz

As much as I enjoy flying past planets with ease, i can never slow in time to not hit a planet at 600 m/s. When I hit something at higher than 200 m/s, my game crashes. Is this just me, is there a workaround or do I just have to git gud?
