Very fun map, but I found the layout quite cluttered. Thumbs up.

Excellent map. Great work. Not at all obvious. Reveals itself in several ah-ha stages. Lots of fun and fulfillment. Thanks!

Yes! I done it! Sense of achievement :). Everything seemed to be about how to get to the bit in the middle of the water. After that, the next stage was pretty simple. Good use of the light bridge - I remember playing a level (can't remember if it was yours) where I used the blue gel to bounce against walls to get to a higher position. I remembered to use the same technique!

wow, extremenly well made and TOUGH map.

WHEW! This chamber was VERY well excecuted! I'd give it 4.5 out of 5

I've read on your profile that you're a test chamber critic. So, I'd really appreciate it if you let me know what you thought of my new test chamber: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=401418424
(I tried to make it really challenging)

Back to your test chamber. It was really FRIGGN hard at first, and then it got easy.

The floor between the two vertical walkways was the most frustrating place to die. I kept falling through and flinging into the water before I was ready.

This is more of a personal preferance kind of thing, but, thow in a few more windows on some blank walls, and shrink up some unnecesarry space, and make the shape of the rooms less boxy.

The final bounce was a little meh. I think the two vertical walkways makes a better grand finale.

All the Gels go where intended, and I can tell you put a lot of work into it. I really enjoyed it!

In response...

1. How would you rate the chamber's difficulty (1-10)?
2. Where you able to finish?
3. Could it be solved multiple ways?
4. If so, how?
5. Have any more suggestions to the author how to improve the map?
6. Overall, how satisfied are you with the experience (1-10)?

1. Probably a 4. I'd say the main difficulty was seeing where everything was on the map (for example: I didn't figure out that the blue dropper pad was portalable for a while).
2. Yes.
3. I didn't see any other solutions.
5. The map design felt a little contrived. For example, I found it difficult to navigate because of all of the glass and gratings you used. I felt like not all of them were essential
6. 8/10. I did enjoy this map; thanks for making it :)

Nice! I really enjoyed solving this one, and I can definitely see the work you put in it. :)

Smart and extremly fun. Great chamber !

Excellent map, as a mapmaker I love the choices you made to force the players to find your intended solution and of course the fact that the elements of the puzzle are used several times in a different way. Great composition overall :)

Would you mind trying some of my puzzles ? I think you could enjoy it : http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198072997273/myworkshopfiles/?appid=620

Really well designed and thought. Fun and rewarding execution. Well done as allways. Difficulty: medium.

Gotta think with portals. I wouldn't create a map that was hard to execute. Every move is easy to do but challenging to find.

If you continue to be stuck, there are two solution videos on standby.

pizzascience Feb 5, 2015 @ 7:18pm
well I knew why this started becaus your advertising was on every map I saw
wildgoosespeeder  [author] Feb 5, 2015 @ 7:16pm
Now you are starting to get it why I do what I do currently.
pizzascience Feb 5, 2015 @ 7:15pm
wait we should come up with thing they should have like a little advertising right blow the thing that tells you how many people subscribed you know what im saying
wildgoosespeeder  [author] Feb 5, 2015 @ 6:34pm
That doesn't help. I looked at the latest pages and none of those maps got to the front page because the area is so out of the way. The Workshop system needs adjustment, like a "if you like this, you may also like this" or "what else have people played" section of each workshop entry. Something better than giving a "social media" arrangement to developers. Needs like a feedback form as well instead of a comment system. The feedback system I had in mind could have the following to fill out:

1. How would you rate the chamber's difficulty (1-10)?
2. Where you able to finish?
3. Could it be solved multiple ways?
4. If so, how?
5. Have any more suggestions to the author how to improve the map?
6. Overall, how satisfied are you with the experience (1-10)?

This system would be time-consuming but it would filter out people simply commenting with simple remarks. This would give the developer of the map useful information.
pizzascience Feb 5, 2015 @ 5:45pm
they added something just for that so you dont have to do that. if you go to discussion portal 2 then worksop Items theres some things for advertising your maps. (I dont know how☹☹)
wildgoosespeeder  [author] Feb 5, 2015 @ 5:21pm
I'm sure that rule applies only to commercial advertisements and scam links and other things of the sort, not a workshop entry I keep posting around on other people's stuff. I've been doing this for years without being stopped by Steam admins.
pizzascience Feb 5, 2015 @ 5:06pm
have to work within the limitations.exeped there is a rule agenst that
wildgoosespeeder  [author] Feb 5, 2015 @ 4:25pm
The disclaimer part I wouldn't have to include in my commentary if some other mappers, besides you and me, weren't butthurt. In a perfect world, there would be no need to advertise, but because most people treat the Workshop like a popularity contest with little integrity for the game they apparently love (and the Steam Workshop being extremely flawed how to get maps seen by others), it's just the way it has to be; have to work within the limitations.
pizzascience Feb 5, 2015 @ 4:13pm
Is not if you advertise on my map it just dont advertise every were I have not seen One test that you have not advertised on thats why im mad
wildgoosespeeder  [author] Feb 5, 2015 @ 4:07pm
OK, you don't like it. I'm not going to change because you don't like my advertising BUT I'll make a mental note not to advertise on your stuff. Only doing it once makes no sense. You want to know how hard it is to get noticed just to get my maps playtested for problems (like bugs, exploits, and overall smoothness) so each iteration of my map gets closer to finalization? Either I get comments like "I like it" or none at all. Sure, popularity is good, but I don't abuse it like a lot of people do. I know how to regulate my test chamber output. I only publish publically when the design is in a smooth enough working state. I use the advertising as an attempt to get a "second eye" spot things I didn't.
pizzascience Feb 5, 2015 @ 3:50pm
to tell you the truthe I dont care if you say like your map needs fixed (look at my level pacor (sp)) I like it its just the advertising I dont like
pizzascience Feb 5, 2015 @ 3:47pm
Im not talking about if you advertise once on there map I talking about if you advertise once at all
wildgoosespeeder  [author] Feb 5, 2015 @ 3:41pm
There's a lot of people contributing to the Portal 2 Workshop. Hard to keep track if I advertised once on their stuff.
pizzascience Feb 5, 2015 @ 3:37pm
its that how your advertiseing every were I dont care if you advertise once
wildgoosespeeder  [author] Feb 5, 2015 @ 3:35pm
Well then if you have a problem with it, just ignore my comments. Simple as that. Each author is different. If they don't care if I advertise, good on them because they are using the Portal 2 Workshop correctly (sharing the experience with fellow Portal 2 players). If they don't like the advertising, they are using the Portal 2 Workshop wrong, make the place worse off, and are a waste.

Granted I understand that advertising on general websites is taboo, like YouTube or DeviantArt, but an area specific for Portal 2 players just doesn't make much sense to reject advertising of other maps people make. It's a specific common interest where advertising makes more sense than in a general common interest.
pizzascience Feb 5, 2015 @ 3:25pm
ya I did read that
wildgoosespeeder  [author] Feb 5, 2015 @ 3:20pm
I get that all the time from people. You said you read my profile. I doubt it because there is a section in my profile all about that advertising I do and why I do it.
pizzascience Feb 5, 2015 @ 2:51pm
so I know that im saying dont advertise
wildgoosespeeder  [author] Feb 5, 2015 @ 1:47pm
@pizzascience
Just because you have played it doesn't mean that others have. The comment isn't directed at one person.
pizzascience Feb 5, 2015 @ 11:37am
im geting tierd of every time I look at a map I fined this can you pleese stop I dont care what your profils said I read it
wildgoosespeeder  [author] Jan 31, 2015 @ 8:33pm
@ncrecc
I am aware of that. The question is where to place them so the puzzle doesn't become suddenly exploitable. I haven't tried.
