I appreciate not everyone has ace loaded, but when you do theyll be back in the misc section. BI's virtual arsenal unfortunately doesn't have a good way of moving their category from what I can tell. We could look to add back the misc items as a starting solution but on pickup it would return the magazine version which would solve the issue with the equipment storage attributes too.

it may fixed itself after some trying, but very random. RQ-11 deploy works fine.
It should be fairly ok in singleplayer environments at higher fps, but we are seeing issues on servers and at lower fps which appears to be messing with the simulation. We are actively working on a solution but mainly wanted this out early to test the rest of the changes.
So far I used a lot of Black Hornets and enjoyed them a lot. They (alongside with other small drones from the mod) gave me a lot of cool moments while playing DRO with ACE.
As a feedback:
1. I noticed that the drone (when stabilized via auto hover) drifts sideways and crash sometimes into trees/buildings.
2. When controlled via UAV controller BH cannot go to waypoints - it kinda tries by tilting a bit, flies towards the waypoint several meters, but then immideately stops and stay stabilized and waypiont disappears.
3. Can the speed and msx distance be limited? I managed to fly the BH at 170 km/h quite stable and while I'm kinda okay with it in terms of flying across South Sahrani, it breaks the immersion of smol tactical drone for enemy's dump pouch cheking.
4. Can cameras be angled down a bit like in the real BH? Not a real hard problem, but it would be more convenient for observation.
Once again, thak you a lot for the great mod!
Maybe it's not a good idea to put all these information in the players namespace. We are acting in teams where different soldiers could pickup and recharge the drone, depends on where they land. So everyone should see the correct battery state and be able to control, recharge etc.
1) There's a few limitations with keeping track of the fuel/ammo and you generally won't have issues if the player picking up the drones is also the one deploying them. We store all the fuel information in the player namespace when the player picks up the drone (as we can't track information in the inventory items directly) and load it when the same player places the drone.
I've thought about adding options to only allow the player who placed the drone also be the only person who can pick it up, but I found it to be a little limiting to fix something that is relatively minor.
2) Already been reported and fixed, with be included in the next release. Should only affect the drone items placed from inventory for now, so vanilla spawned uavs should continue to allow battery recharging.
3/4) Will look into both of these before the next release!
1.) The battery status of the drone is often wrong when deploying and pickup them, especially when a player using multiple drones or other player connecting to the drone.
2.) We are not able to recharge them with UAV battery with ACE menu?!
3.) When there is not enough space in the backpack to pickup the drone it will be deployed in a bag infront of the player, but only this player can see the bag. For all others it is invisible.
4.) The IED UAV seems to have unlimited ammo. When you pickup and redeploy it, it is fully rearmed again which makes it overpowered.
also, is there a reason why we can't lock onto the Fire Scout with IR seeking missiles like the Titan AA and Falcion-22?
@CRISPRcasanev, glad you like it.
1) thermal sensor and gunner position:
IRL it does have thermal sensors (product by FLIR) and in game the pilot camera has thermal mode as well. Reason why this is brought up is because the thermal sensor gives the drone AI, hence the drone controller, of target knowledge.
2) Visibility: the black hornet is targetable by MRAPs on distance over 300m.
3) Auto-pilot: if on autonomous mode and waypointed to follow unit, the black hornet will climb unlimited altitude if unit being followed stays still (I have a blackhornet following myself flying at 1200m and climbing).
And please dont nerf the drones too much? Because single players or small scale multiplayers need this, and the IRL ones are created for an advantage, aka OP.
