@Mlie I'm very grateful for the support of this mod. Can you add an option to recycle items on the work station where they were produced?
Mlie  [author] 5 hours ago
@GonzoCreed Or you will have to wait for them to get updated
GonzoCreed 5 hours ago
@mile From what I've seen, the mods that allow you to do recycle jobs are outdated.

Maybe I missed one?
Mlie  [author] Jul 25 @ 12:59pm
@GonzoCreed There are multiple other mods that lets you set up such recycle jobs. The point of this mod is to easily recycle specific items
GonzoCreed Jul 25 @ 12:38pm
Is there any way we can add in an auto-recycle function? I hate having to browse through my items with less than 50% condition and having to order them to be recycled one by one, unless I missed something :steamfacepalm:

To change work speed for recycling

Does not work with most modded in items. Your people will just stand there trying to recycle things that don't exist, and get stuck in a 'trying to do job' loop.
QiamOnline Jul 23 @ 3:06am
@Mutley Oh that's why it's so slow. Thanks.
Mutley Jul 22 @ 4:48pm
The mod that's making the recycle time longer is Performance - Slower Pawn Tick Rate. I don't want to cause a stir, I just checked.
Mlie  [author] Jul 22 @ 4:18am
@Poo Bao Read the comment just before yours. Generally reading can help you in many areas in life.

Recycling takes too long

@Kotobike To change work speed for scrapping/recycling

QiamOnline Jul 20 @ 12:24am
Is recycling suppose to be super slow? Like my colonists are starving while recycling a knife.
Anny Jul 17 @ 9:45am
Does recycle weapons better than smelt weapon command? like yield more etc.
cherry-wave Jul 16 @ 12:25pm
Could it be possible to preserve the recycle-flag when the item is hauled?
Mlie  [author] Jul 10 @ 9:58pm
@Derg Zaks Please link to that mod
Derg Zaks Jul 10 @ 5:20pm
Would it be possible to add a "repair this" button for when repair workbench mod is installed?
it would be nice to be able to pick a specific item to repair.

still not seeing the bill in workbenches

I no longer have a bill on any workbench to auto-recycle items. I used to be able to add bills to the Tailor's workbench but it is no longer there. Fluffy's Work Tab is not updated to 1.5 so I haven't tried it yet. It is kind of a pain to micro individual recycling of potentially hundreds of items. Anything I can do? Thanks.
Mad Cake Jun 12 @ 10:38pm
Its sad that colonist isnt training crafting skill during recycling.

This causes a conflict with Questionable Ethics Enhanced for some reason?
David May 19 @ 9:18am
@Guezzy Just in case you were curious, you can only smelt metallic items in base game :) including apparel. This mod is “recycling” as in, you can recycle any material. (because not all weapons and apparel are metal, and this includes guns.) Last time I checked you can also get components and more than one material from recycling.
Fenny Apr 30 @ 10:28am
Thanks for saving this mod
Mehdi Apr 5 @ 9:06am
@Mlie Ok, no problem buddy. That's actually why I made a fork in the first place. I'm using this mod in a modlist for a multiplayer server, and I didn't want to bother you with changes.
Mlie  [author] Apr 5 @ 9:02am
@Guezzy Sorry, I dont really have time for this.
Mehdi Apr 5 @ 8:58am
what's the difference between smetling and recycling according to you ?
Mehdi Apr 5 @ 8:58am
Description of the mod : "It uses all vanilla values to calculate refund (around 25% of recipe) and job speed to make almost identical to vanilla bills (Smelt or burn weapons/apparel)."

Recycling = Scrapping apparel (not vanilla) or Smetling weapons (vanilla)
Mlie  [author] Apr 5 @ 8:57am
@Guezzy Smelting yes, recycling no
Mehdi Apr 5 @ 8:55am
Weapon smelting is vanilla tho
Mlie  [author] Apr 5 @ 8:49am
@Guezzy Recycling of anything is not vanilla afaik. Just dont recycle apparel and you should be fine
Mehdi Apr 5 @ 7:56am
Hey Mlie, could you please add the option to disable the recycling of apparel just like you did with components. Cause appareil recycling is not vanilla.

Thanks a lot <3
Mlie  [author] Apr 4 @ 10:49pm
@cptpapadakis This is for apparel and weapons only
cptpapadakis Apr 4 @ 6:39pm
hell it looks like when i use the recycle order it doesnt register slag chunks
Mlie  [author] Mar 31 @ 2:14pm
@GUleiduoDaze Its on the todolist
GUleiduoDaze Mar 31 @ 2:12pm
I'm using <pick up and haul> and <awesome inventory>, could these be the reason?
GUleiduoDaze Mar 31 @ 2:07pm
I'm selected many weapons on the field for recycle and some are immediately reserved by my lifters hauling to storage. The "recycle this" orders disappear after a lifter touch it.
Anyway to fix that? Thanks!
Mlie  [author] Mar 28 @ 1:50pm
@VeggetoSSJ The normal smelter, not sure there is support for helixien gas
VeggetoSSJ Mar 28 @ 12:37pm
i have a Electric Tailor Bench, a Crafting Spot, a Gas Smelter (Helixian Gas Mod), yet none of these seem to be viable workbenches to recycle clothing. Any other workbenches i might be missing?
BlueCheese Mar 22 @ 6:21pm
Ah got it, thank you!
Mlie  [author] Mar 22 @ 4:07pm
@BlueCheese The workbench needed for recycling an item is the same that you use to create it
BlueCheese Mar 22 @ 3:54pm
The description says we should be able to recycle clothes at a crafting spot--is this all we need? I'm getting a message saying "no workbenches available" and disallowing the recycle action for clothes when I have a crafting spot set up. Not sure if I'm missing something. Thanks!!
VatskiySas Mar 22 @ 3:22am
Seems like you are correct. Sorry for bothering and thanks for keeping your mods updated!
Mlie  [author] Mar 22 @ 3:09am
@VatskiySas Did you check your mod-version? This should be fixed in yesterdays update
Mlie  [author] Mar 21 @ 12:46pm
@GalacticSeal Should work better now
