With more testing it caps carry weight of warcaskets at 75 and disregards their much higher carry weight making them immobile if they try to caravan.

Has a problem with Warcasket pawns who have increased carry weight to wield their heavy weapons, they do not get the weight increase and cannot pick up some if not all warcasket weapon.

This seems to mess with Backpacks from Vanilla Apparel Expanded - Accessories. Backpack carry capacity is not added with this installed.

I cannot. I reinstalled your mod and now the error does not occur, and my dogs go eat whatever meat/kibble is within allowed area!

Works fine in 1.6, I only had Royalty Tweaks, Animals Logic, Better Workbench Management, Carry Capacity Fixed and Character Editor enabled.

The original author has abandoned this project, I think it is yours now. I would like to point out to you that there is a conflict between this mod and another "Vanilla Animals Expanded" that prevents small dogs from being able to haul, and it also stops them from eating kibble.

I have removed this mod and the error ceased. I really like this mod, so I will hope you are still playing Rimworld and able to fix, so that I might continue to use it again. Thank you very much!

Is there a way to edit the base carry weight? I think +75 carry weight is just too much, maybe 50 is alright

Just thought I'd mention that this mod and Vanilla Factions Expanded - Ancients have a minor incompatibility.
The Super Strength from VFE Ancients is not applied to Caravans if this mod is also active.
I am unsure if the patch is required on VFE's end or this end, but thought I'd bring it up.

I suggest use Bulk Carrier instead. This mod now have some bugs in 1.5, like reduce pawn capacity rather than increase

Thank you so much!!! I was having trouble because genes and other mods' traits related to Carry Capacity were not working at all. It turned out that VEF was changing the Carry Capacity to its own version. This mod reverted that change, and it was a huge help! I think the equipment related to Carry Capacity in the VEF series, like backpacks, might not work now, but since I'm not using them, it's not a problem for me. Thank you again!

we need ability to set how much carry capacity it is. cause 75 is kinda a lot. Most pack animals become kinda useless when you can use man power.

For those that are having an issue with backpacks from "Vanilla Apparel Expanded — Accessories" no longer increasing carry weight, it is possibly this mod causing it.

I've stripped my mod list back to the absolute bare minimum to run "Vanilla Apparel Expanded — Accessories" and pawns have a carry capacity of 35kg and the backpacks correctly increase the carry capacity based on their quality.

The moment you put "Carry Capacity Fix (Continued)" anywhere in your mod list pawns start with a carry capacity of 75kg but backpacks don't have any effect.

Just a heads up if you wonder why your mechs like the Lifter haul less; the base capacity for a lifter is 75, and the final value ends up being 75 * body size (0.70) = 52.50, however this mod then additionally multiplies that value by 0.70 so you end up getting even less, at 36.75.

This mod is not fully compatible with Vehicle Framework mod due to how it reworks carry capacity functions. Any thoughts on a workaround for wanting to use vehicles with this mod? The most obvious one is to just have my pawns carry as much as they can before boarding a vehicle.

It seems like in an attempt to fix CE compatibility the incompatibility for the LACK of CE was introduced.

@thaipuff288 did you mean that the increased storage of your pawn didnt increase max weight of the car ?

think it like your car can only fit 1000kg and it is alr 1000kg item in it and your pawn enter it with extra 50kg stuff in your backpack, it would of course count into the car weight since you are driving the car not walking by it lol

Is there any mods to make pawns actually use all that extra carrying capacity while they hauling/building? They definitely hauling more resources now, but when building they only grab like 50 steel for example.

Any specific load order?
My pawns have a carrying capacity way above 500 kg but only worn/equipped items seem to count towards carry weight capacity.
At one point in previous rimworld version I was able to use all the carry weight capacity to stack up with items.
Or am I mixing the intended purpose of this mod up?

Ah, I was wondering what was causing insane pack weights for animals. A Horse can pack near 600kg with this mod (vanilla is 84kg).

So if I install a Spine augment that says "+75 carrying cap" this mod actually makes the game take it into account rather than body size.

"So, by itself, you probably won't see any difference - There's technically alternate mods that do nearly the same thing in a way that does result in a difference on their own, but let's ignore that for now.

What this mod basically does is it makes the game actually apply affects that should be increasing or decreasing CARAVAN carrying capacity. Without this or one of those other mods, if you say, use a trait that increases carrying capacity, it actually basically just does literally nothing. The way vanilla code is written is it basically is a static value multiplied by body size, completely ignoring the "Carrying Capacity" stat.

You're not going to see any changes outside of a caravan, and you're not going to see any changes until something impacts that carrying capacity stat."

This mod effects regular carrying capacity as well as Caravan Carrying Capacity to put it simply.
