Stuffable Floors XML Edition

added 1.6 tag
L. Velociraptor Jul 26 @ 11:16pm
...have y'all tried it on 1.6? For real, have you?

Cuz it works. Stuffed Floors 1.6 will leave you with only vacstone at current, but as this is an XML patch mod it works on floors it detects as valid.

So you won't get necessarily every floor stuffable, but it seems to work just fine on 1.6 with the mods below I'm running currently:
- [T] MoreFloors
- BeautyFloors (Continued)
- Expanded Floors
- Outland - More Floors
Firedog Jul 24 @ 10:47pm
miss this mod so bad
Holgast Jul 24 @ 5:07am
I like how this is XML though. Stuffed Floors has a bunch of problems because it autogenerates everything. With the XML version it just works
Marty in the multyvers Jul 12 @ 2:53am
hope to see this new version soon:steamthumbsup:
test  [author] Jul 10 @ 9:00am
I won't update this because it has too much code but I might make another version of this which won't even use patches and will be autogenerated so that I don't have to maintain it, btw if you really want to use this I am pretty sure it will still work in 1.6, exept floors that came out since a year ago won't be supported
Frayo Sep 30, 2024 @ 3:45am
Another stylish mod called Gerrymon's Nautian Style has new ideology stone floors which - yet again - don't support modded stone materials. Could you...? Pretty please?
Scorpio Aug 15, 2024 @ 4:17am
rebuild support and alpha biomes the jewish style the tiles dont change color regardless of materials

Patch for ReBuild?
Holgast Jun 3, 2024 @ 5:55am
this sounds promising. I will check it out
Luv N Hugz |UwU| May 26, 2024 @ 11:13am
I noticed that you can't use modded stone blocks for Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Architect's Slab and Cobblestone floor. It's quite the confusing discrepancy given that the "polished stone floor" does have modded blocks.
Runzu Apr 12, 2024 @ 3:35am
@test Ah. Okay. I didn't realize it was supposed to be only for flagstone. I'll figure something out in my own game. Thank you! :slimetabby:
test  [author] Apr 12, 2024 @ 2:07am
@Runzu in pebbles mod it is supposed to be only useable for flagstone. I think if you allow pebbles to be used for any floors, it will be OP, especially since material doesnt affect floor stats. I might add a setting for it at some point though, but no guarantees because I am working on a new version of this
test  [author] Apr 12, 2024 @ 2:03am
@nako amazing, thanks!
nako Apr 11, 2024 @ 9:15am
So, about that CleaningTimeFactor request from last year. I might be the only person who cares about it so I just made my own mod that supports the tiles added by this one. :)
Runzu Apr 7, 2024 @ 4:43pm
@test Unfortunately, in game, 1.5 unstable, pebble is not popping up as a resource to use for anything but Flagstone. Not tiles or Ideo floors or anything.
test  [author] Apr 7, 2024 @ 9:32am
@blasiankxng if its a wood type it won't be added unfortunately, this mod is for stone floors only as wood floors are too hard to automatically patch.
test  [author] Apr 7, 2024 @ 9:30am
@Runzu I think it should add pebble to flagstone floors based on description. And its probably a stony material. My mod by default only adds missing stone blocks floors as in vanilla stone floors can only be made of stone blocks, but you can enable all stony materials in mod settings.
Runzu Apr 7, 2024 @ 9:25am
The material pebbles didn't seem to come up for those floors and vanilla floors. I'll check in game.
test  [author] Apr 7, 2024 @ 9:24am
@Runzu do you mean making floors out of their cobble? I think there is Outland More Floors support
Runzu Apr 7, 2024 @ 6:02am
Could you add this please, if not too much work? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2380357251 Also is the one the mods Outland More Floors?
PotassiumIodine Mar 23, 2024 @ 11:54am
is there a reason why concrete from fortifications industrial (or the wood type concrete) doesn't show as a usable material with other modded floor, for example floors from LTS furniture?
test  [author] Mar 12, 2024 @ 12:45am
@Frayo thanks for the suggestion, I've added their stone floor. Someones gotta do an automatic one lol, I'm pretty sure there are a lot of stone floor mods that came out since 2 years ago when I added every mod on the workshop
Frayo Mar 10, 2024 @ 2:06pm
A recently released mod called Stoneborn - Dwarven Style Pack added a new type of stone floor, which naturally isn't supporting modded materials by default. It would be amazing if you could add this to the list of the altered floors, if you find the time.
test  [author] Feb 12, 2024 @ 10:31pm
@Frayo thank you, this is interesting and I have no idea how that would happen. This mod functionally adds every material-stone combination in the same XML way many stone/floor mods do, difference being that it generates the XML. It just lacks the expressive power to cause complex bugs such as one floor being replaced by another - that pretty much isn't possible with XML.
Frayo Feb 12, 2024 @ 6:20am
This is a great mod. Many floors which I'd hoped would be stuffable with modded materials weren't. Thank you for making this.

Though - on first installation mid-save any syenite (Cupro's Stones) stone slabs (MoreFloors 1.4) were replaced with concrete (Vanilla Factions Expanded - Classical) steampunk tiles (Alpha Memes). It's not an issue but I'm curious, why did that happen? Stone slabs could be placed down without problems afterwards.
test  [author] Jun 7, 2023 @ 12:41am
@Mr. J Soda by default it uses all stones with "StoneBlocksBase" parent, with stony setting enabled it should also use all materials with "stony", doesn't matter where that tag is. The only way it could not find a material is if "stony" tag is inherited

@nako thank you for the report, I think that stat was added in 1.4, I'll include it in the next update
nako Jun 3, 2023 @ 5:14am
Is it possible to preserve the appropriate CleaningTimeFactor of the originals? For example the generated metal tiles do not keep the original's 0.6 multiplier.
Mr. J Soda May 30, 2023 @ 5:46am
@test Nevermind, it would appear that a old setting from RIMMSqol was marking them all as Gems and I had to fix the settings. Odd how it ignores stony type items if they also have the gems tag, I would think the stony tag would come before gems.
test  [author] May 30, 2023 @ 3:53am
@Mr. J Soda it works for me. Is there any particular floor or stone type that isn't being added
test  [author] May 29, 2023 @ 12:19pm
@Mr. J Soda it should be supported, I will look if they changed something
Mr. J Soda May 29, 2023 @ 12:17pm
Can we get support for Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Architect floors? I'm not seeing any of my modded stones in it
ZakaVtuberTTV Apr 17, 2023 @ 2:07am
Well it is a much cleaner looking floor menu, but at the same time I guess I glossed over that it doesn't really add any floors, just patches everything to work good materials wise. Removed the original stuffed floors when I added this and wondered where all the floors went. Will think on where to go from here tomorrow since it's 5am lol. Cheers
ZakaVtuberTTV Apr 17, 2023 @ 1:41am
Was about to download the cherry picker mod literally just to clean up the mess that has become the floors menu. Have been using stuffed floors forever and as time went on it seemed to just get more and more full. Never used an XML extensions mod before but first time for everything. Starting a new run so we'll see how this goes :)
Yekaterinnani Dec 29, 2022 @ 6:20pm
Woaaa thank you so much for the compatibility patch! <3
DarknessLilly Dec 24, 2022 @ 4:52am
@test will double check.
test  [author] Dec 22, 2022 @ 8:40am
@DarknessLilly just checked, hex tiles work for me, maybe you don't have metallic tiles setting enabled in mod settings

@Catts thank you for notifying me of this mod, I will be adding support for all suggested mods soon
Catts Dec 15, 2022 @ 11:24am
Thank you so much for the great mod! If you have time could you try to add the floors from Outland - More Floors?

test  [author] Nov 29, 2022 @ 10:11am
@shiriukaa thanks for the report, will add those when I can

@DarknessLilly haven't checked in a while but vanilla hex tiles definitely worked, so either game update borked them or the ones you have are from a mod. I'll check when i have time
DarknessLilly Nov 21, 2022 @ 12:54am
I do not know why but i can not seem to get this to work with hex tiles the basic steel one is the only one i can build. any ideas on how to get it to work or why its not working would be great,
Yekaterinnani Nov 9, 2022 @ 4:59am
Hi, sorry, I don't know if you can do anything about it or I need to "report" this in the other mod page, but the quartzite from "Chinese culture expanded mod" cannot be used on the floors from other mods even if I have this mod.
test  [author] Nov 3, 2022 @ 10:27am
@GwenBlanketSpecter not possible unfortunately, it would be easier to make them manually
GwenBlanketSpecter Nov 3, 2022 @ 10:16am
some mods add special colored wood. would it be possible to patch those to woody floors in the same way?
test  [author] Sep 17, 2022 @ 11:41am
@i8jello Hello, thank you for the suggestion. I added ideo tiles support
i8jello Sep 16, 2022 @ 2:56pm
Hello, it would be really great if you could add stuffable ideology metal tiles! (like making hex tiles or spikecore plates out of different materials) Thank you!
Runzu Aug 14, 2022 @ 4:15am
Oh, I see. I wasn't aware of several of those things, especially the stat bonuses. Thank you so much for your patience. I do look forwards to the progress of this mod! ♥
test  [author] Aug 13, 2022 @ 11:35pm
@Runzu stone floors don't have stat bonuses in vanilla, but I will add that as an option, probably in a few weeks.

Wood floors are much more complex to make stuffable, and its not something I would use in my game, so they are very low priority right now.

Not sure what floors should be makeable out of misc materials, do you mean using them for stone floors as well? I am pretty sure rimefeller plastic is considered a metal so my mod should add it to metal tiles
Runzu Aug 13, 2022 @ 8:22pm
I misread how to get the mod to work. It works for gems just fine. I will say that I noticed that the beauty multipliers are flat between gem materials. It doesn't receive bonuses based on the material used.
Runzu Aug 13, 2022 @ 5:35pm
After testing in a new game, gems don't come up as a material to use in stony floors. The modded stony blocks did come up though, so that's working fine.

Will you be adding support for other materials?

Okay, I'll test on a new save, since I still have Fluffy's version installed. I'll report back. It's just Kura's Extra Gems mod I'm using.
