Hey could you please make White Forest Inn?
dootoid Apr 22, 2020 @ 8:23pm
I used Rift S no problems here?
UrDaddysDaddy Apr 11, 2020 @ 1:15pm
You can use the Rift S
Blyskawica Apr 10, 2020 @ 5:05pm
Do I need a Valve Index for this, can I just use my Rift S?
ReverendTed Apr 9, 2020 @ 10:22am
I can't seem to load this. Since it uses the Alyx Asset Pack, is it an Index exclusive?
staryoshi06 Apr 9, 2020 @ 4:21am
Does this only show up for Index users?
byteframe Apr 1, 2020 @ 3:25pm
It works now. Nice.

It's a shame I can't actually enjoy this with the whole Index paywall because it looks absolutely amazing

He could already do that with the files of the environment. It'd probably end up broken and as a bunch of red, untextured meshes but it'd be at least the layout of it.

Do you plan on porting this to HLA when the tools release?
Dr.GRoWL  [author] Mar 20, 2020 @ 6:12pm
@Hλlf-Mind @¡ byteframe :sleepy: is mirific ! This is probably because of valve index exclusivity on the HLA environments.

@Rectus I will definitely check it out! and I totally plan to add physics to the playground.

@HermanToothrot The scale is odd because the map layout is straight out of HL2, I do plan to improve the scale but probably not all of it since it will require replanning a lot of the layout.

@ᴊᴜꜱᴛꜱᴀᴠᴀɢᴇ All of steamVR home environments run on Source 2 (not the full version of it) and has tools for content creation.

this is source 2 ????

Great job, brings back memories. Is it just me though or does it feel just a little bit too big? For example the pallet against the wall and that general area around the ladder really feels big, same with doors with keyholes/peepholes being too high for normal humans to reach. But maybe I've just been focusing too much on the scale of things recently so I notice it more. Anyways keep up the good work!

Really nice looking recreation. Could use some lightmaps and ambient light for the dynamic props though, I'd suggest swapping out those cubemaps for env_combined_light_probe instead. (Also physics on the playground).

Its not letting me play this either. Probably something to do with how they are paywalling the regular alyx environments, or something. Anywho, the screenshots look good.
lonedeveloper Mar 18, 2020 @ 4:58pm
I was hoping someone would do something like this!
zeg Mar 18, 2020 @ 3:27pm
Awesome work! Glad you went through with it.
Hλlf-Mind Mar 18, 2020 @ 2:09pm
It doesn't let me get inside the room :(
