Also glad you're ok @Nigrum mortis. Hope you didn't lose something irreplaceable, apart from you sense of safety.
Have you considered making wall-hanging versions of the Darklight Torch and Fungal Darklight Torch that were introduced in RimWorld 1.3? These have a particular glow: The specific color of light does not give mood debuffs for those of the Darkness Meme in the Ideology DLC. (The Fungal Darklight Torch is made and refueled with Raw fungus instead of Wood.)
This (non-Easy) version still allows the "Early Wall torch" to be placed on all walls, much like the other version. It's just the Medieval "Wall Torch" and the later "Electric wall torch" that are slightly more restrictive. And, IMO, that is more immersive. It makes sense that primitive wood torches would be placed on crude cave walls, whereas electric torches and Medieval-era Gothic iron torch sconces should only ever be placed on better-quality walls.
Also, I'd point out that the "Easy version" says that it quote, "Works only with Base game walls". To me, this suggests that it won't work with new walls added by mods. (Though, while it does not say, I have to wonder if this version of the mod is any better with new, modded walls.)
If you have the time, could you look into toggling the torches from being refueled? For campfires and torch light this functionality is already present. Alternatively, could you give me pointers where I would change this myself?
Thank you again, hope you have a great day.
You sir, are a scholar and a gentleman!
Much thanks.
I find it frustrating that the cheapy torches can be put anywhere, but the ones with steel can't.
