This melody mechanic is interesting but would require more and better UX to become enjoyable.
i donțt like this mod, is to hard for me to understand the mechanics"
hi for the melodies, if you look at the top of most cards, there should be a small musical note symbol there.
when you play a card, that symbol gets added to the music bar near the top left of the screen, where the character plays a song or melody.
if you play the cards in a particular order, you can unlock a free ability (a bit like playing a free card), by clicking on one of the song names in the top left area of the screen, which should highlight if it is available.
for example to play a song that gives you extra block, you might need to play some cards which have the matching sequence of note symbols. :) i got a bit confused at first, but then it becomes much easier with practice
(if you like rhymes i made a rhyme mod with food items for rimworld you might like) :)

as for the ui you mentioned, i have been playing a lot with modded games, and im pretty sure every card i played from other mods, (or as far as i can remember) had the bard notes / icons at the top of the cards in my hand, to give me notes. (i think i still needed to either be a bard main character, or to get some relic to let me queue up notes)
If I was using prismatic shard, it'd seem pretty bad to get modded character cards on other characters. because they wouldn't benefit from said mechanics on there character. my mod idea is basically merging all modded character's UI's into one when you get there card, like if I got a card from the bard(hehe that rhymes). the UI for the bard for which notes played would pop up. And now If I were playing any character and got a card from the bard at any point. I would be able to play bard and silent somehow
in summary: add UI's from modded classes into other characters.

Playing cards in proper order for the buff is often less beneficial than just playing the cards in the proper order you need for the turn - if I happened to get a note combination along the way, cool. If not, I didn't.
I ask because I was looking over cards in hand as well as the playlist; and I was hoping to see that each of A,B,C,D had a sequential pairing I could more easily memorize.
I mean:
A+B-x-x
A+C-x-x
A+D-x-x
B+C-x-x
B+D-x-x
C+D-x-x
Additionally, it'd be cool if there was an option to sort the playlist by color of starting note, instead of by what the end result is - so I can look at all the RED+x+x+x and BLUE+x+x+x together; instead of having it be scattered about.
It was really weird that RED+x was missing a combination; there were 3 other colors it could sequence next with, but only two of them were use - and one of the colors was an essentially duplicated in opener.
That's my fault, this issue is part of 100% Spire Juice, not Bard. I should have this issue patched very soon =]

Great job !!!
That aside, 10/10 great mod. Definitely the most fun character I've played, including base content. Hunting Horns will always be the best!
I feel like of the characters I've tried out so far, this one feels the closest to being a believable addition to the main roster. That's saying something given far-out the note concept is.
even with this starter deck i was confused and only after some fight adapt
But as Genowhirl9999 said the starter deck is too poor on the note side. It would help to change one red to a green one as it would unlock a lot of melodies. Unless itis intended that the player has to creeate his own musical repertoire.
Just a small heads-up to report a compatibility issue that I found:
It is with the mod Replay the Spire .
The issue is caused by the event Mirror Mist .
It freezes the game and forces the player to use the Task Manager to force-quit.
I do not know if it is something that you can repair on your end or if you will need to be in touch/transfer it to The_Evil_Pickle .
I posted the same message on the mod's workshop page.
Would be way more interesting at the start if there were a couple red and blue only melodies like red blue blue: gain 1 block, blue red red: deal 1 damage to all enemies.
First like 15+ minutes of play the majority of my notes just feel useless because I can't get a green or orange note in my hand (I couldn't even get an orange note in my deck nevermind my hand).
real talk shard working properly while you have 8+character mods must be a wild ride
