Not practical anymore now that multigrid projector mods are taken off the workshop. Tis sad.
bogey dope May 26, 2023 @ 8:08pm
How can we make it to transfer material using its arm connectors?
Seanus Maximus Oct 8, 2021 @ 6:59am
@Ziodberg & @IntruderXXX you are, most likely, encountering a multi-grid error when you add the blueprint to the projector. The 'stuff' connected to the rotor is the other grid. An additional mod like Viktor's Multigrid Projector and the required plugin loader should get you past this issue.
Zoidberg Jul 11, 2021 @ 7:34am
Same problem here as intruder
IntruderXXX May 5, 2021 @ 1:04pm
well i tried to build this but the upper part of the rotor is not projected
steven Sep 2, 2020 @ 10:15pm
whenever the speed goes over 16.79 it flips, the turning feels unresponsive and practically removes all the speed it had, and the drills dont reach out enough to dig a gap big enough for the rover so it keeps getting caught
Relativelyincorrect May 30, 2020 @ 11:53am
You mention that you can use the pistons with WASD, how is so? I cannot figure it out, you also mention you are using the right click function to make tunnels with the drills, how do I do this?
Fluffy The Destroyer May 29, 2020 @ 8:12pm
For those wondering about the script location: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=944915802

Where is script ?
Virtual Nick Aug 7, 2019 @ 8:26am
Hi, would you share the hex code of the orange color?
Clarkey82 Aug 4, 2019 @ 11:31am
Is it worth adding weight to the back end?
Ironbrain May 14, 2019 @ 5:03pm
and... the script?
Akado Apr 23, 2019 @ 7:25am
I collected everything as a video, but I can not control the drill. he froze in one place. plz help
Angel  [author] Apr 15, 2019 @ 4:25pm
im not sure, i think it has something to do with the script attempting to move the rotors.
Bruce Banter Apr 15, 2019 @ 6:24am
Why does the vehicle rock forward and backwards with mouse movement even when the rotors are locked?
Angel  [author] Mar 22, 2019 @ 9:17am
Ey guys sorry for taking so long, but i just added a video tutorial for the turret setup
Akarin Mar 14, 2019 @ 8:23pm
Never mind i figured it out, for those curious you need to attach the spotlights and camera just before the piston like in the picture, without that it wont work.
Akarin Mar 14, 2019 @ 7:07pm
The script refuses to see the drills as part of the ship, people keep on bragging about how they figured out the dirty trick but refuse to explain it, this is useless unless it works in survival.
Zerofactor Mar 14, 2019 @ 12:29pm
Instant favorite and now standard issue on all my mining Freighters. Awesome build.
Pych Mar 14, 2019 @ 11:21am
@Scruffy You just need to use the right click to clean wide areas. I tested, this works fine on vanilla.
HKchiu Mar 13, 2019 @ 8:29pm
Practical and simple,thanks for share
Scruffy Mar 12, 2019 @ 12:15am
Cool idea, but vanilla mine radius makes this not too practical. just need to alter this somehow to fit the vehicle in a hole :)
Steve The Destroyer Mar 8, 2019 @ 10:50am
I spent an hour reverse engineering this thing so I could rebuild it but with a large container and hydrogen powered, excellent work
CMDR.FREEZER Mar 7, 2019 @ 10:49pm
@synergy.exe Probably not as i dont know what you mean by PB
synergy.exe Mar 7, 2019 @ 6:34pm
@FREEZER did you run the PB?
CMDR.FREEZER Mar 7, 2019 @ 4:33pm
Meeh. Not working as its shown in the video. I downloaded the required script aswell yet the rotor thing wont move the drillheads. Pistons works fine.
RogueScholar Mar 6, 2019 @ 4:01pm
Captain Cobbs, what was the dirty trick to get the pistons to work? I can't seem to get it to work in Survival. I keep getting the error "no weapons or tools for rotor named [x]". Thanks!
Uriel Simmons a.k.a. Lanski Mar 3, 2019 @ 4:27pm
becoming even more interesting since the survival update :)
Captain Cobbs Feb 3, 2019 @ 11:30pm
Nevermind, found your dirty trick. Impressive workaround.
Captain Cobbs Feb 3, 2019 @ 11:23pm
Curious as to how you got MART to work with a piston, great build.
Calicio Jack Feb 1, 2019 @ 1:59pm
PS Real cool Machine cheers
Calicio Jack Feb 1, 2019 @ 1:56pm
Having Prob's with blueprint,1 did'nt show anything above Azimuth turret no prob's i rebuilt that section as per Picture, program block accepts Azimuth,Elevation but not tool or weapon,at this stage nothing operates as intended :( HELP lol
KatoNamus Jan 27, 2019 @ 8:41am
We'd really appreciate it if you'd do that, please. This looks like a very nice roving miner
KatoNamus Jan 27, 2019 @ 8:40am
"Multiple grids not supported". To "package" it for blueprint, you need to join the grids on both sides of the rotor with blocks that must be grinded out after the blueprint's made.
Kuno Jan 26, 2019 @ 10:20pm
I Can't get it to work, it says multiple grids aren't supported and that itt'l only use the largest grid
Nob-Stop Jan 25, 2019 @ 10:44pm
i dident get a code for the new blocks are u using any of the new blocks
Venom415 Jan 24, 2019 @ 10:25am
simple yet effective for the task, nicely done!
Hyper Jan 24, 2019 @ 9:06am
This rover is good, just not a one man mining machine, if you know what I mean.
Hyper Jan 24, 2019 @ 9:06am
Oh, forgot to mention mine also auto collects as it mines.
Hyper Jan 24, 2019 @ 9:05am
How do i upload it though?
Hyper Jan 24, 2019 @ 9:05am
I made a self sustaining miniing tank basically. Load with some uranium and ice, and it'll work like charm. It has air ventilation, seats fo 3 people, including pilot, and extendable drill that can about 10 meters or more into the ground, turrets, a rover attached to bottom, mining refinery and conveyor system, along with med bay.
🍁BuzzedBear🍁 Jan 23, 2019 @ 2:52pm
Nicely done!

I doubt Toph learnt earthbending from one of these :steammocking:
TheTownWitchDoctor Jan 22, 2019 @ 8:25am
Just saw this on youtube, I think the new survival update making stone useable is gonna make miners like this alot more useful, It won't just be atmo-miners with ejectors.
Amauros Jan 21, 2019 @ 12:13pm
Clever idea using the connectors to convert the small to large conveyors!
Duelist Jan 21, 2019 @ 7:49am
Nice
Katana Sado Jan 19, 2019 @ 9:14am
This looks and works alot like a land miner I made a while back. However yours is put together alot better than mine, it liked to loose its weels and blow up from time to time. It is nice to see I wasn't the only one with the idea.
Mikeangel Jan 18, 2019 @ 2:41pm
This works surprisingly well
