@MindSkipperBro12 The mod is based around vanilla focus trees with only minor changes overall. Can you see these changes, for example in the German tree or not at all?

Whenever I try to play this mod, for some reason all of the focusd trees are set to vanilla as well as the decisions and government. I only have this one on and no other mods are active.

The AI is not changing their division templates. Always playing with 18w. Should be fixed when mod is updated to EAI hopefully.

Hmm, that's odd. I'll play it again on the weekend, but I'm sure the Expert AI update will hopefully fix whatever screwed me haha.

@Kaiserkane So I did a quick test as Germany, declared war on Poland and the UK and they did use their air forces all over the place. Even South Africa, the british Raj and Australia joined in on the air war.

When playing against Germany the AI probably prioritises land units so you will see less of the Luftwaffe overall (although I am not sure on the specific circumstances).

I will update today so it should get fixed.

@Kaiserkane I will have to check. Expert AI did recently have a bunch of changes to how the AI uses its air force.

There's something wrong the since the last few patches. I think it's the Expert AI mod addition maybe? The AI aren't using any air units anywhere. I just buffed GER to the max and put the game on Elite as the USSR and I still easily held the Germans.. :(

@Snippps I double checked, there is the requirement that the owner of said state must be a neighbour of yours. I will remove that in the next update so for demanding to work the targeted state must either be claimed or clored or owned by a neighbour of you.

One thing I don't fully understand is how Demand It works now, after it was changed to "you can only demand states you have claimed". As Italy I was able to demand Yemen, with no claim to it, but I was not able to claim any Iraqi states, or even demand tribute or vassalization. I was at that time however able to demand Middle-Eastern states from UK or France, Turkey etc. I could also demand Savoy, which I know Italy gets claims on later, but I didn't have any then. I couldn't demand Greek states, however. Is there a hidden list of who can demand what, or is it just a bit wonky?

@Snippps Thanks, I hope to keep it alive for the future as well. I think if I added the Yamato Hull to a previous, not mutually-exclusive focus but locked the 2 production entries behind "the Ultimate Battleship" (whie also adding a tech bonus maybe) that would balance it out. Kind of.

I'm very happy to see this mod alive again, I missed it a lot. If there's one small change I would like to see, it would be to remove the mutual exclusivity between First Air Fleet and Ultimate Battleship in the Japanese focus tree. FAF every game is an absolute no-brainer, even if superheavy battleships were meta favored, but it just feels sad not to get to build the Yamato. :steamthumbsup:

If I remember correctly Germany is set to be more aggressive in general so it might have to do with that. Or the AI calculated it would succeed in attacking, given the odds.

Nah I played past the point where it was occurring, so no relevant save sorry!

If you make a reasonably well defended line as France, as long as the AI outnumbers you then they seem to attack regardless of the odds. I normally play as an aggressive Germany, so this was my first defensive game tbf. Perhaps it was a fluke in my game anyways.

I had my divisions as 10inf-2arty (with the most support companies incl AA not AT), and I changed to the firepower doctrine (second from left).

Germany/Italy would often have double the divisions, but when they attacked it was always green and they did it..... a lot... :P

I haven't yet updated Expert AI to the latest version (only the second-latest). The only thing I directly changed is removing the popup event at game start, in order to get to it you have to click on the button in the top right corner next to the exhaustion counter.

It's either that or it could be changes to unit types I've made (mainly nerfing motorized) or maybe even the industry changes.
I didn't change any AI weights or defines so it's probably something indirect that causes this behaviour. There are probably a lot of scenarios as well where Expert AI can't solve stupid AI behaviour. Do you have a save file?

Everything about the mod is great, but there seems to be something wrong with the AI. Normal AI mods and Expert AI don't throw endless attacks against you if you're dug in, but the AI in this does? They constantly attack even though they have extremely low odds. Ended up murdering 5 million Germans for a loss of only 200k French.

Great mod btw! Love the inclusion of the war exhaustion mechanic and all the other tweaks.

One request, any chance you can include the Division Limits++ mod? Basically I can't stand having 30 bloody generals and love having just one general per front, but this mod conflicts with that mod for some reason?

Otherwise great work and looking forward to playing it more! :D

Can you please, PLEASE not have the cosmetic changes to city name labels? If I wanted a visual improvement mod, I'd go and download a fucking visual improvement mod.

(also, not sure if this mod causes it, but the menu when you select a state in the bottom-left is ridiculously tall, and it gets covered up by another menu of unknown origin, making it impossible to conduct diplomacy with any other nations.)

The CTD should definitely not be happening but I'd have to see the error log to get an idea of what it could be.

The Allies starting a war with the USSR is somewhat likely to happen if Germany has not started a war yet.

I will try reloading a previous save when I have time and see what happens but last time: (1) playing as GER, (2) historical focuses on, (3) year 1941, (4) opted for forming Vichy, Vichy formed, French capitulation triggered (I think), and then immediately CTD, (5) the only thing unusual: Allies at war with the USSR (came to the defence of Finland, which I thing may be unintended, although not unrealistic as they weren't at war with GER atm).
