Focus

  • (Germany) "Operation Weserübung" will now only build 4 civilian factories over time when controlling Narvik

Bugfix

  • Fixed an opinion modifier when staging a national revolt (via decision as a puppet)
  • Researching conversion tech will also now grant the proper Naval refit speed bonus (10% each)

Focus
  • (Germany) "Form Organization Todt" and "Employ Philipp Holzmann" now grant one less factory each, respectively

Decisions
  • Removed the decision for France to gain access to 10.000 Infantry Equipment
  • The AI will no longer propose a Franco-British Union, although the decision is there to stay. In case of England proposing the Union, France is now half as likely to accept the proposal.
  • The above mentioned decision now requires France to have a high opinion of England
  • "Remilitarize Land" now takes 70 days to complete, is slightly more expensive and has requires war support and stability (depending on your government)
  • "Construct new government building" now takes 1 less civilian factory to do and also requires some level of stability (depending on your government)
  • "Hold Speech" now only costs 50 PP to activate and can be activated at higher stability/war support, also renamed it to "Hold Patriotic Speech"
  • "Hold Anti-War Speech" now costs 75 PP and activates instantly
  • Removed "Pass Enabling Act" and "Install Head of State" decisions for Italy because they have a proper focus tree and proper mechanics now
  • "Hold National Parade" now costs 75PP and only adds 5% war support, it also requires not having any surrender progress
  • "National Visit" (as puppet master) can now only be done once a year
  • "Stage Military Revolt" (as puppet) can now be done only twice a year
  • "Host Independence Campaign" (as puppet) can now be done only once a year

Events
  • (Germany/Austria) Added some more checks for the Anschluss event, (as Germany) having Hungary (or an another nation which neighbours Austria) as an ally and large army (>90 divisions) will reduce the chance of Austria refusing the Anschluss, even if guaranteed by Italy

Balance
  • Reduced XP requirement for upgrading equipment, f.e. armored cars (fully upgrading everything now costs roughly 140 XP instead of over 240 XP)

Updated to the current version of HOI4 (finally).
Updated all included mods to the latest versions.

There are some map changes which I have not done yet (f.e. Kamchatka is the only passable Siberian state, I need to split up an island), however these will be made once "Graveyard of Empires" has released in Q1/2025 as I expect more map changes to come with that update (reverting map changes to then re-do them is painful work).

Database

  • Changed the mod structure slightly for better organisation of the individual changes, making future updates slightly easier
  • Updated all other files changed by the new update, even including the credits
  • Removed the demand menu (well, it is still there, just disabled) because I am not happy with the conditions under which you can use it (or can't use it)

Balancing
  • Reworked factory count for every nation. Most minor nations have lost 1-2 factories, while Germany has been heavily, Italy moderately and Japan slightly nerfed. The US has been nerfed and buffed simultaneously, the Soviet Union slightly nerfed (although both of them are still very strong/the strongest nations in terms of economy)
  • Changed every national focus/decision/event in regards to the construction of buildings (all have been lowered in accordance with the general changes to building costs)
  • Infrastructure construction bonus now also applies to all facilites
  • You can now assign up to 10 support companies instead of 12 (along with a slightly changed interface in the division designer)
  • Buying stuff on the market is now considerably cheaper because civilian factories are harder to get
  • You can also only assign 5 factories to a contract, however this shouldn't be a problem as everything is 50% cheaper (balances out the receiving nation as well because civilian IC in general is harder to obtain, especially for minors)
  • Building and upgrading your Agency is now cheaper to compensate for the lower amount of civilian factories in the game
  • Lowered required XP for unit leader traits

Focus
  • French Navy/Air focusses have mostly been reduced to 35 days
  • Added a focus for Germany to get a 6th research slot+

Formables
  • Changed how the decisions in the base game work to a time-based decision, meaning it takes some time to form a new nation...you need to hold all future cores during that time. Unrealistic formables take longer (f.e. European Union/Roman Empire take 3 years to finally form)

Graphics/Interface
  • Added uncensored pictures of german leaders
  • The larger state window (which shows building slots and the other stuff) will now look like the vanilla one...just larger to accomodate the increase in building slots
  • Reverted to the old portraits (uncensored)
  • Adjusted zoom levels (you can now fully zoom out and in)

Map
  • Siberia is once again impassable (I made the necessary changes to the russian civil war)
  • The mountain range in Indonesia is also impassable (altough there are no separate states now)
  • Northern Canada is impassable as well (makes the fight for Alaska worth it because it is now separated from everything else)
  • Parts of the Saudi Arabian desert are also impassable
  • Added victory points all across the map (especially in the US, some in the UK, Japan, France, India, China)
  • Increased resources across the map, added a few new ones in some areas (most minors now have a bit of steel/aluminium/something else to compensate for the lowered civilian factories)

National Ideas
  • Revised some effects as design companies are now a thing of the past (more or less)
  • Reduced the required political power for one stage of each branch to 100 (from 150)

Expert AI
  • The configuration menu will no longer pop up every time you start a game, instead you will have to manually open it
  • All AI settings are by standard set to normal (nobody gets favored in the Sino-Japanese or German-Soviet war)
  • Adjusted some AI parameters to better suit the new balance of buildings. In my playtests it seems to work reasonably well, there might be room for improvement.

Localisation
  • Improved and expanded several tooltips, f.e. moving your capital now mentions the effects on supply and Exhaustion has a better explanation on how it works
  • Also cleaned up some text and made it look better
