This was a fun map. Just the right amount of difficulty for me.

If there is another Defend the Spot competition, yes
Bruns Dec 3, 2019 @ 1:32pm
A siege themed scenario, similar to this one.
bassi  [author] Dec 3, 2019 @ 12:57pm
@Bruns: depends on what exactly you mean? :)
Bruns Dec 3, 2019 @ 12:30pm
Are you planning to do more scenarios similar to this one?
bassi  [author] Nov 21, 2019 @ 3:07pm
My pleasure, I hope you enjoy the other 2 scenarios, too!
Further content will soon be released, too!

That definitely solved the error, now i have access to the next chapter. Thanks a lot for the fast response, and sorry if it was a dummy thing that could be solved easily, im kinda new to the "custom scenarios", but i see there are lots of amazing jobs here. And thanks fot this amazing campaign!

@Enzioquias
Thanks for your comment. This is a game bug not a scenario-related one. I suggest you try again and use "i r winner" to unlock the next scenario. Pls message me again if that did not solve the issue!

Hey man, sorry if i write here but i dont know where else to contact you. I am playing the "golden horde" campaign. After finishing the first mission, i do not gain acces to the next scenario in the campaign, how am i supposed to continue? Are those 3 scenarios, right? Im playing AOE2 DE, the first scenario agains the Russians was amazing and i want to play the rest! Thanks a lot!
Chen'la Nov 16, 2019 @ 7:33am
Cool, I would love to check that now, but I have alot of work on my hands, but I will get to it I promise :-).

This was well designed!

Balances a scenic map and cityscape with an engaging game play
HellHammer Aug 23, 2019 @ 9:18pm
I hope to see this scenario as official with the Tatars replacing the Huns of course in DE.
Also the Lithuanians are a great potential for the Battle of Grunwald.
bassi  [author] Jul 30, 2019 @ 2:59am
thanks a lot for your praise, @Consider3th! I'm glad you enjoyed the scenario so much!
Consider3th Jul 27, 2019 @ 4:52pm
Awesome job! I love the action packed never a dull moment gameplay of this scenario. When Jani Beg's horde came in with the demolition ships on my naval I was screaming! :steamhappy: Thank you for taking the time to make this. It is my favorite custom scenario so far!
Chen'la Jun 29, 2019 @ 11:13am
I will cover it, if I will be able to, as usual :-).
bassi  [author] Jun 29, 2019 @ 1:25am
@Farimba:
I have been working on both official content and custom content. Both will be released in 2019. :)
Druzhina Jun 29, 2019 @ 12:57am
Hello, do you mean "the last khan" campaign in the Definitive Edition? Or a new campagin in age of empires 2 HD? Anyway I am looking forward to your new masterpiece.
egonzalez.ieu2013 Mar 31, 2019 @ 2:54am
@Bassi thats great news¡Hope that will be soon¡
bassi  [author] Jan 31, 2019 @ 12:26pm
@Sergeant Whiskeyjack: No worries, a campaign project is on its way and will be released somewhen in 2019. It will be of much bigger extent than any other scenario/campaign available in the workshop.
Sergeant Whiskeyjack Jan 31, 2019 @ 10:15am
are you done making custom games my friend?
SotoBetawi Dec 15, 2018 @ 3:55am
Kudos mate! Love this scenario, definitely! I love that this scenario is really challenging, to the point i almost thought this one is unbeatable. Basically this scenario is just full of challenge, especially trying to kill 2 of Jani Beg's horde and also having to kill the Tatars early on, though the latter was easier especially with bbcs. :steamhappy:

Hello. I make custom music, If you are interested in some music for your maps, feel free to add me.
Guardian1996 Dec 4, 2018 @ 11:38am
The map is of course easy, if you recruit archers + bbcs only, but that will always be the case, @Ryukyuan Nationalist. Stats for ranged units in this game are pretty high, but that's because it was designed to be balanced around 75 max pop, aka 40-50 army units.
I think that the designer did a great job, the scenario is just beatable by recruiting a bunch of infantry supported by ranged unit - the composition of a real medieval army. :steammocking:
Leofric Nov 29, 2018 @ 3:15pm
Exciting map! Simple, but efficient. Good job!
Hammister Sep 16, 2018 @ 11:09pm
Exciting map. Very well designed from start to finish. A worthy winner of the "Defend the spot competition".
[QDSS] Thrank Sep 15, 2018 @ 12:57pm
Beautiful map! Also to me the video is played without audio (but in media player it works obviously). It's not so challenging, but it's ok (it's neither too easy). It gives a sort of "fear of unkown", because you don't really know with what kind of siege units mongols and huns will attack. Good job! :2016popsicle:
bassi  [author] Sep 10, 2018 @ 12:50pm
@Haitizuela: Seems your PC is struggling with .avi files in general then!
Tōji Fushiguro Sep 10, 2018 @ 10:36am
@bassi Funny thing is that, I can't play the aoe2 intro neither when i launch the game. i have a good laptop for gaming, but both problems might be related
sauruz Sep 9, 2018 @ 7:40am
for me this mission wasnt all easy, its was semi hard at beging.
bassi  [author] Sep 9, 2018 @ 2:10am
@Haitizuela: It's only a short sequence, showing some Tatar horsemen approaching. For me it works, no idea why it does not for you.
Tōji Fushiguro Sep 8, 2018 @ 8:00pm
well, i saw the credits now. Too bad the video doesn't play properly, but the audio does i think
Tōji Fushiguro Sep 8, 2018 @ 6:53pm
Is there some cinematic or music supposed to play at the begginning?
bassi  [author] Sep 8, 2018 @ 1:36pm
Thanks for the feedback, guys! I also think it does not provide enough challenge for relatively experienced players. Had the deadline pressure been lower, I would have been able to refine the scenario more. I hope you still had fun!
jonjohnblack Sep 8, 2018 @ 1:09pm
Too easy I just made ships and towers, then when i got the reinforcements life was too easy as id have a couple of monks just healing the op units.
Brick Slayer Sep 8, 2018 @ 9:24am
You could either make something closer to the 5th mission of Dracula, where you had split-out camps that needed to share a common resource pool and thus not waste too much on one front (You could use the black sea in this one to present Caffa as two fortresses on two seperate islands). Also, make it so you can't just hide in the base for the majority of the time, throwing down a couple of TCs and completely harvesting all resources before actually persuing any of the goals. One way to do this is by having the enemy be stronger and stronger as time goes on, with more and stronger units, to the point where defending becomes pretty hard. Thirdly, perhaps it would be nice if the AI had more directions from which to attack from, because at it is the enemies only really ever attacked from two chokepoints. Maybe one could make it so that Crimean troops repeatedly spawn on that little road north-east of your castle. Otherwise, a nice scenario though
Brick Slayer Sep 8, 2018 @ 9:23am
I enjoyed this one, as I do most of these defensive-minded campaigns. One point of critique though; I played this on the hardest difficulty and it was still kinda easy. They breached one of my front gates once, but never got through the second layer of walls, let alone the castle. I'd say that I took my time and ended the game at 1 hour and 27 minutes, and the attack rate of theirs never really increased a whole lot. By minute ~35, I had completely demolished blue's camp up north by only making arbs and around 5 BBCs, and from there it only got easier. Minute ~55, and I had completely defeated the mongol pirates to the south. A few minutes later the reinforcements arrived, which at this point weren't really needed since they had no chance of getting through my walls anyway. They probably fielded around 5 trebs and a couple of rams in total.
I know that this was only made for a contest, but if you think about making a harder version, here's how I would do it:
lIll Sep 8, 2018 @ 8:35am
it looks awesome!
igorhp Sep 3, 2018 @ 7:40am
Fun fun fun!!!
egonzalez.ieu2013 Sep 3, 2018 @ 5:59am
Once again the Bassi signature means an absolutely great scenario¡ Fun and original, ohh and advice to follow the hints of the game if not is much harder to win; just a bit short, but very worthy of winnning the Defend the spot competition, looking forward to more¡
