For all older players who played Age of Empires on Windows 2000 and XP, this is the classic version and a must-have. If you're new, you'd better get DE.

Everyone complaining about "retired" are basically the same tier of reviewer you'll find on Best Buy's website. Dumpster-tier.

The "Retired" moniker for this game simply means it's no longer going to be updated. It's not going away like these fear-mongering noobs would have you believe. Unreal how stupid some of these reviews are 11.

Great balance of gameplay and tactical diversity, easy to understand tech trees and interface, sensible graphics (not very cartoonish), sound effects and background music. The historical content is also awesome and well thought out.
