WARNNG: RAGE QUITTING.. for sure! :D Patience is the key. I admit having to watch a walk through to understand the logic however, mouse skills are very important! I bet even highly skilled controller skills are needed for this map. Great job!

Thoughts with blindrun and SPOILERS! [telegra.ph] It's a bit lengthy and I'm gonna spare the comment section with my overly-long review this time.

THAT ENDING?!
dboxall123 Mar 2, 2023 @ 7:41pm
This one is pissing me off. I really don’t see how it’s possible to get the first cube. I drop it, it goes through the portal and I get to land. I go on the bridge to go get it, and it falls into the water, every time. There’s not enough room on the bridge for me to put it in front of me, if I have it next to me then when I make the bridge back it falls in the water, and if I stand on top of it, it also falls in the water. Wtf?!?
Muzozavr Nov 26, 2022 @ 9:46am
Was I really supposed to hop around like a rabbit to get out of the first light bridge area? Really? And getting the second cube required some hairy moves also... Am I missing something?

Not as complex as the previous one, but the moment where I tossed the cube into a ceiling portal that I couldn't myself reach in order to get that cube into the next part of the puzzle (the fizzler/light bridge stuff) was definitely a highlight. Don't know if that was intended, but hopefully so, it's a cool move. The last area looked like it was going to be a major pain in the ass until I figured out that you can leave a cube on the light bridge, meaning I don't have to carry the cube WHILE messing with the light bridge and praying to god the cube doesn't fall, I can just grab it at the end.

The atmospherics were great, very ominous ending.

This one had me STUMPED, and the next one still does, but honestly it was satisfying once I passed it. This has been a really good series of tests, and it's exactly what I needed after how fast (Not speed run fast) I finished the main story. Cheers man.

Terrific map.

Wow...that was great.
Lloyd.Edwards00 Apr 18, 2020 @ 6:19pm
It took a while but i was able to complete it. It was definitely challenging but getting back to main area with the light bridge was just a pain...unless i totally missed something

Nice map! Did some crazy moves :D
Calwin Oct 5, 2019 @ 12:21pm
I honestly don't know if I did this the intended way. I black out the rest to avoid spoilers.
So I vaguely imagined that u had to use the launcher to get the last cube up to the last place. This seemed like a pain in the ass so I desperately tried to avoid it. I finally used a trick where I stood on the light bridge and shot two portals; one close to the edge that went up to where I wanted the box and the other portal close to the cube button with the cube below me. I then fell down one portal and came up where the cube was. On my way falling down again, I grabbed the cube and managed to push myself safely to the high place. It didn't feel very elegant, but it did the trick without much effort.

hat sehr viel spass gemacht

what's to do beside watching some cube burn and then follow them.......

wow. clever. climax was awesome. surprise:steamhappy:

A great map, very innovative. This is mostly a test of logic. The jumps were not bad.
GrtWhtBuf Mar 3, 2017 @ 11:47am
Good work, the fun continues!
Petutski Jan 17, 2017 @ 8:22am
Tough, but great map. Aside from grabbing a cube on the fly thru a portal, no ninja skills or throwing was required. Some very tricky logic with the lightbridge! Thanks!
[ssc] Fishy Oct 19, 2016 @ 7:22pm
Excellent map. The platforming was a little tricky(slight ninja skills), but not too bad. I liked part 4 better because of this, and because Part 4 required more of a challenge of the mind. Definitely a medium puzzle as rated, unless you are severly ninja skill challenged like my mom.

HInt: You don't really need to throw the cube. In fact, that can make it harder. Make sure you create the portal for the light bridge up really high for the second cube, and barely put the second cube on the pressure button that removes the fizzler. When your up high, and standing above the portalable floor next to the second cube on the pressure button, make two portals very fast. One next to the wall leading up to the cube buttons for the exit, one underneath you. You might want to go back and forth a couple times to get your bearings, but you can grab the cube off the pressure button as your flying back and forth, and then walk right onto the platform.
SkinnyBowser Aug 28, 2016 @ 2:06am
Thanks to you I have now mastered the "throwing cube" technique!! :D Awesome map dude, I'm pretty sure that no ninja/expert skils are required here, regardless of how you solve the puzzle!!
Setito Jun 12, 2016 @ 8:06am
I think the chamber is superb and I don't understand why the people complain about the ninja skills, which aren't too exaggerated. Anyway, we shouldn't expect compassion from GLADOS.
tomhday Apr 10, 2016 @ 7:37pm
Fun thanks for making these!
Spaceminnow Mar 9, 2016 @ 6:41pm
Frustrating map. I am not ashamed that I didn't finish this one. Looks good but it gives me a nervous / stressful feeling while playing :( I stopped after getting in to the upper room. I tried to throw the cube across so I didn't have to jump across with the cube... It fell in and I had to try again...then so frustrated from having the cube fall in I jumped to to try to make it across and fell in too lol !!! Blah !!!
gillianstarr Nov 10, 2015 @ 11:59am
frustrating. what exactly is one supposed to do? I can get to the room with the cube destroyer, but no idea of what to do next. and reading comments saying that one needs super ninja jumping skills to do, well, i guess that I won't even be getting that far. :(
PeterKmad Sep 11, 2015 @ 6:39am
Some jump skill and cube thrower skill needed here. I prefer brain puzzle, but the map still good.
-Forest- Aug 24, 2015 @ 6:32pm
Up to this point the maps were really fun. This one blew that. No direction, at all. Had to watch the walk thru and got tired of doing that. Figured I would just move on to map 6 before I got too frustrated. With a little more direction this map would be lotta fun.
Asha Man Aug 22, 2015 @ 11:33am
This series is amazing.
40ozKilla May 25, 2015 @ 11:21pm
Awesome map. Beautiful level of map detail to go with a challenging puzzle. That my friends is how you make a Portal 2 map. Thumbs up!
Ani Apr 10, 2015 @ 11:18pm
Well, I had a fun time watching the walkthrough. Not even slightly interested in doing it myself. As always, never enough clues are given in the chamber design.
Sinvisigoth Mar 6, 2015 @ 1:30pm
Gave it a thumbs up because there isn't a thumb position that efficiently expresses "you are evil and I will lead a revolt if I can't get the companion cube soon" :D
Chelliste Nov 30, 2014 @ 8:00am
The difficult ratings are interesting. The last one, rated Very Difficult, I actually found easier than this Medium one. I'm guessing the author is a whiz at mouse acrobatics and timing (or designs with a game controller in mind), and so feels those types are easier than the brain teasers. For some people, it's the opposite.
RP Aug 26, 2014 @ 11:16pm
Wow... this was an even harder one for me to solve than the previous. I looked through these comments for a clue (as I did for the last one) and saw a mention of cube throw. Regardless, excellent job. Yes this one requires more timing and skill than some folks like, but a little variety is good.
TS_Mind_Swept Jul 25, 2014 @ 7:28pm
It was a good test, but i thought i had trapped myself for a minute just before the final faith plate, but luckily thanks to some thinking (and quick portaling) i managed to get back up to that ledge where i had left both cubes (since I missed the portal falling down cause i hesitated). I had a little trouble in the room with the cube, grates and the emansapation grills (if that makes any sence) I died several times trying to jump back to solid ground, it was kind of annoying that i couldn't move the light bridge over so i could get closer to the area (I don't think a placement helper is necessary right there). Other than that it was good, i died a few times and was worried quite a bit, but it was all doable, and had nice "ah-ha" moments. 8.5/10
Nat Jul 18, 2014 @ 1:13pm
Haha wow, this level was a tricky one. At first I didn't know I was doing the right thing when activating the first light bridge, but it was fun when I figured out what to do with it.
DeathWish808 May 10, 2014 @ 9:16am
This one I had not played before and quite enjoyed it. Well done!

less hard than the previous dilapidation, but a map for ninjas :). skill and timming. i like it.
Ehnasan Mar 24, 2014 @ 9:14am
Dear author! Plaese, do not make any more maps for Portal 2. Please, make maps for Quake III or similar games. Portal 2 is the puzzle game, it means you need to think and to find solution. But here after I found solution I spent more than hour to bring it into life! This is not puzzle - this is bloody shooter!
Zemble Mar 15, 2014 @ 3:24pm
I cannot complete this with the super precise timing required and lack of knowlege on if I am progessing or not. I mostly got through this test with glitchy maneuvers only to get complely screwed at the end and have to restart everything. A walkthrough would be extremely helpful for this because then even I still could not pull off finishing it I would at least know how it transitioned to the next map.
I really liked the previous maps but this one I have spent the most time on (about an hour) and just cannot find a way to complete it. I had to stop because I gave myself a headache.
gotredonyou Jan 19, 2014 @ 7:30am
Great puzzle, but the demands of the portal moves are tedious. Really took the fun right out of it. Love your other tests.
Eagleshadow Jan 3, 2014 @ 5:19pm
I somehow cliped the first cube through the grating, then used cube throw to get it from lightbridge over the gap, then another cube throw to get it into last room, then a bunny hop to jump from fizzled bridge to last platform. I found this level really hard. (and the part 4 imposibly hard.)
Long Stride Dec 19, 2013 @ 10:22am
The ending required quite a bit of skill. Good map.
AnarchyPaladin Nov 10, 2013 @ 10:29pm
This was my personal least favorite, because of the skills needed (timing, jumping ,etc.). However it is still definately above the average quality test chamber.
big red foot Nov 9, 2013 @ 1:39pm
not sure if o got the last part the way it was intended but I got out of the room so guess it was right
mechtakendall Nov 4, 2013 @ 7:25pm
Not my kind of map unfortunately. I spent more time dying then solving the puzzle. Design 6/10 Difficulty 6/10
Robm1434 (ala Goldblum) Oct 31, 2013 @ 3:12pm
Lovely ending.
AsinoEsel Oct 18, 2013 @ 4:05am
@p0rtalmaster
Using the companion cube wouldn't be a good idea, since the whole map series is based on the companion cube which never gets to you before the final map. (Doors closing right in front of the cube, cube is stuck in tubes, but you can't grab him etc...)
The Sojourner Sep 5, 2013 @ 10:48pm
Probably a tad easier if you use a companion cube insted of a regular cube, so that we know to carry it across the fizzler. Other than that, the test is practically perfect.

Thumbs up ..... the ass , for the pain in the ass this was .
Scryms Aug 18, 2013 @ 9:08am
I comment because I REALLY liked the maps so far. I felt like I was cheating on this map (well, more than on the others), doing things like tossing the first cube from the cube room to the "main room" while staying on the button (I still don't know if there is another way, I spent a lot of time trying to figure it out, but found nothing but frustration haha). I did also jump on the 2 cubes to get on the light bridge... Well, I did like the map anyway, just felt like I was cheesing the mechanics ! Thumbs up ofc, just like your other maps.
Haggis Jul 16, 2013 @ 9:35am
Its a toss up between this map and the one before, which one is my fav so far. Loved the look of the room where the first lightbridge was. Another great set of puzzles.
Bayram Jun 4, 2013 @ 6:23am
I found this one to be above medium difficulty; maybe I didn't do it right. It was very rewarding though, definitely thumbs up!

My escape-themed chamber, "The Oubliette", is fairly large, with deadly traps, and should be a quick bit of fun for players of the Dilapidation series:
