As for the flashlight issue, we are aware of it and still looking for a better solution to support all light-emitting attachments and NVGs, when going down there.

It's a bit more complicated than it seems, to make it work flawlessly since Arma attachment flashlights work only during the night time and you need to provide solutions for both day and night.

Use NVGs and the custom modified flashlight created: > player addItem "CHR_flashlight"
Or go down there during night time to be able to use the vanilla attachments.

Hey, @Kelset

AI pathfinding is not fixable since the objects used at Altar Bunker are not intended to be walked on in the first place. Arma AI pathfinding is very limited and it requires editing the model itself to be able to "fix" this. Unfortunately, we don't have the source models to be able to edit it as we want it to (most are from CUP Core).

What I can recommend is placing static things that will spice your experience down there. UGV (no fuel), static machine gunners, IEDs, anomalies, etc.

@TheDude Awesome job with chernarus really, Loving this maps since years. Is by any chance the AI pathfinding fixed and available for the underground bunker? Last time I checked they couldn't navigate and flashlights didn't work as light sources underground.

@RageFoxTV, we are constantly looking for solutions on how to improve performance when working on new locations and tweaking older ones. Unfortunately , there is no magic button to press and optimize things, moreover dealing with how Arma handles things. Balancing things is the way to go. So no, no dedicated patches for addressing only performance. Tweaks here and there, will be added for sure. CHR is a heavy map I agree, but there are ways of optimizing things using tools provided to mission creators too. You can't expect to have the same performance  you've been having on vanilla maps without changing the settings. Balance things. ViewDistance, DynamicSimulation, SceneComplexity, etc...

@random Techpriest , improvements of an existing towns are the priority right now, but new locations are definitely something that can be added in future updates. As for the non-apocalyptic clean version, no plans for that.

@EllmansWorld, can you send me the exact time and environment conditions you are using at your mission? Does it happen on mission start, right after Editor (SP or MP)? How about changing it during the mission via Zeus? Do you have custom weather scripts on? Please , provide more info, so I can reproduce it on my end.

Why does it seem impossible to make it 100% dark Night time?
It's proper dark while in the editor but once you load in it's not dark at all.

@random Techpriest Yes, the map is still being worked on (I'm a contributor, I would know :P). The non-apoc version likely isn't planned until this version is finished, and will depend if the main dudes wanna shoot for a non-apoc version. Only time will tell for that department.

This map is probably my favorite version of Chernarus/South Zagoria! Bigger, better, good looking and feels apocalyptic and immersive.
But!, i have two questions:
1. Is it still beeing worked on? I do not just mean improvements, but, for example, will it become bigger? Will there be more cities and villages in the future? Lorewise, Chernarus is big! ;)

2. Will there be a non-apocalyptic version, a "clean" one? In my MilSim-Unit we used this Map and our Mission-maker had quite a lot of work cleaning up/replacing.

Also, the bunker on Altar is amazing. We were horribly afraid in a mission which had us assault it and fight trough it. You guys did an amazing job there!

@NotoriousBill, ChernarusRedux terrain mod is tested and stable, its not the reason you can't load your server. Join our discord server and post your RPT file to #creators_discussion channel, people there might help you out with finding the cause for your issues.

I'm unable to load the mod on my community's server, I have the .rpt file w/ the errors if anyone who wants to help can. I tested it for several hours and it's an error originating from the map itself.

Dunno if this has been asked before, but will the map be brought to the new version of "normal" Chernarus? With modeled interieur of the hosptials etc? Or even more usable buildings? The size of this map makes it amazing for large scale operations etc and more "room" to use would be great.

@DragonFire Dachau - Its not the map unless you were using a REAL OLD version of it. As an example, you loaded this map with 3 mods, you saved it. You then started ARMA again with 2 mods. You tried to load this and it WILL fail, as it is expecting 3 mods, not 2.

And/or you did not load the saved game with the SAME EXACT mods loaded in. A newer version of a mod can also cause this.

@Ivan, there is no floating schoolhouse there. You probably have an issue with one of the mods.
Reduce the mods loaded to ChernarusRedux and CUP Terrains Core only and check again. If the problem still there, repair the mods via A3launcher to make sure the mod files are not corrupted.

@Genghis Khan, Zeus is an Arma basic feature & have nothing do with what terrain its being used on. There are enough tutorials on the web to help you out with setting your Zeus up.

This may be an old problem but I just found it. At the black forest resort there is a floating schoolhouse right in the middle of it. Is that an issue with the map itself or is it some kind of conflict with something else?

I've got a friend trying to host a server with Chernarus Re. loaded but he says when he loads in he is unable to access Zeus. He's not too exact with the details as to what is happening; just that he can't access Zeus. Has anyone had to deal with this issue; does anyone know of a 'walkthrough' video or some such that may help?

Bohemia's license limitations for a3 assets and the amount of work required to make the map compatible for DayZ is not something realistically doable at this point in time.

@AceD - I would advise you read an ARMA manual. This mod works and has been for a LONG TIME.

It is an error/errors on YOUR end and who knows what they may be.

As there are many things that must be done for a MP server, no one will be able to really help you.

As far as SP: Subscribe, start ARMA, start editor, there is it is.
