October Patch

Greetings citizens of the world!

October is a favorite month for all of us here. We sit quietly around the Team 56 campfire, telling ghost stories and deciding which of us will be this year's Halloween blood sacrifice to Groania - the bespectacled goddess of the harvest, nuanced sarcasm, and jokes that will never be told because the conversation has moved on.

We've layered the mod with a whole new coat of paint, with numerous fancy gfx and other improvements - and it's worth noting that we only include a fraction of the actual changes in these notes. (They're legitimately too long) As always our motto is: Add more, add better, and always use a whole stick of butter when making pancakes.

In other news: Our game Terminal Conflict is out of Early Access! We're legit and fancy lads now. Naturally, as we teased last month, the next step is a science-fiction dating sim. ( The world is burning down around us, so why not? )

As always, we're over on Discord[discord.gg]. Let us know your favorite ghost stories, and be sure vote in the upcoming all-national powerball olympics.

With 100% better butter,

-Gxp

September Patch 2020

Hello Citizens!

This month's patch brings you a freshly baked batch of fixes, tweaks, adjustments, revisions, and even some balancing. Oh, and our team of dedicated occult scientists also used a forbidden ritual to make Korea awesome! It was largely successful, except for that portal to the Hell dimension we accidentally opened up. (We'll release a hotfix for that asap)

In team news, Terminal Conflict is leaving early access soon! A bunch of the 56 team worked on it, and we're just so proud. Also, possibly very inebriated and/or on mind-altering substances. So what's next after successfully releasing a cold war strategy game? Dating sims, duh.

"The year is 1936, and a firmly mustached man stands at a window overlooking the dreary city. Everyone below fears him, but no one knows just how lonely and vulnerable he truly is. If only there were someone in this cold cruel world that could understand? Another well-dressed leader after his own heart? There's only one way to find a match. It's time to conquer the Earth - with love!"

As always, you can come find us on the Discord[discord.gg] - if that's your kind of thing.

With kindness and thunder,

-Gxp

Update: Jul 7, 2020 @ 7:25pm

Greetings fellow scientists!

Our researchers have been hard at work formulating new and ever-expanding ways to torture you with quality content, shiny features, and endless puns. The general theme of this patch is improvement! The AI got a big ol' jolt of electro this time around, and we've polished, brushed, and even lovingly caressed the edges of as many rough surfaces as we could find. Thinking_Waffle even decided to try stand-up comedy. Life goal achieved?

Oh, and in case you missed the news: We just released a DLC called "Eyes Only" for the Cold War strategy game Terminal Conflict! It adds super cool spy stuff to the game, and maybe even an unfortunately very mortal cyborg kitten secret agent. (RIP cyborg kitten, you were too perfect for this world)

As always, you can come find us on the Discord[discord.gg] - if that's your jam. Peanut butter is also acceptable.

Stay cool kids,

-Gxp

p.s. Due to reasons both horrifying and utterly arcane, this patch is not save compatible. :(

June Patch 2020

Greetings, hello, and a fantastic day to all!

How was your month? Hopefully you're keeping active and indulging in lots of calorically intense desserts. Pie? Cake? Chocolate truffles? Honestly, the sky is the limit - what with the world ending, who needs a diet? This of course has nothing to do with the official Road to 56' recipe book we plan on releasing later this year...

Pakistan has a new focus tree, and we've expanded quite a few others. The map is also getting some lovely tweaks and maybe - hold your breath - we fixed that desync bug. I know it's been hard for everyone, but please know that we have suffered along with you in this time of MP instability.

...but that's not the biggest news! Now I'm sure you're asking, "...but Gxp, what could be more amazing than a Road to 56 country cookbook?"

Our team is happy to announce that we are launching our DLC "Eyes Only" for the cold-war strategy game Terminal Conflict this week! It's finally DONE! To celebrate, as well as show off our suave selves, we will be hosting a livestream over on Twitch[www.twitch.tv] June 9th! Thinking_Waffle, SpicyAlfredo, and Abraxsas will be there! Also, maybe, your favorite Lumberjack-in-Chief (yours truly).

That's June 9th, 18:00-20:00 CET on Twitch[www.twitch.tv]!

We're also going to be giving free copies of the game and DLC to folks that are hanging out with us! So if you want to get into the old Cold War while the new one starts up, we've got you covered! Oh, and the snarky AI is totally included gratis too.

As always, never forget - you are the best. We're glad to hang out with you on Discord[discord.gg] and internet high-five anytime.

With much respect and love,

-Gxp
