Patch 1.11

NEW HERO: The Lightbringer (original concept by @dotopenguin)

NEW ITEM: Gravity Blade.
Cost: 5225
Components: Force Staff + Echo Sabre + Recipe (350)
Active: When used on an enemy unit, a strong gravitational force pulls you and the enemy together. Allows melee heroes attack twice in quick succession after pulling to an enemy. Works like Force Staff when used on self or allies.


- Normal heroes have been removed from the hero selection.
- Added new icon and lore for Throwing Knives.
- Throwing Knives and Gravity Blade will show up on the Shop Menu.
- Added lore for several heroes.
- Fixed Blight Stone not being purchasable.


Hero Changelog

Cherub
- Added range indicator to Sleep Cloud.

Ixhotil
- Unyielding Pinion cloud effect is now a visible buff on Ixhotil.

Keen Commander
- Fixed issue with Siege mode no longer dealing AOE damage on attacks.

Onimusha
- Base Strength reduced by 5.
- Base Armor reduced by 2.
- Base health increased from 103 to 200.
- Dash now silences while dashing.
- Orochi stacks now only refresh when attacking heroes.
- Orochi Demon form now refreshes in addition to Orochi stacks when attacking heroes.
- Orochi Demon Form size increased by 66.6%.
- Battojutsu range increased from 310 to 420.
- Battojutsu attacks manacost reduced from 60 to 0.
- Battojutsu manacost increased from 0 to 120/160/200.
- Battojutsu high range no longer applies to the third slash.
- Battojutsu: Karyusen and Hiryusen now strike the farthest enemy unit within 825/950/1075 range.
- Updated several particle effects.
- Fixed bug with Onimusha becoming completely undetectable after using Dash with Battojutsu.
- Fixed issue with Battojutsu abilities swapping in the wrong spots.
- Fixed several issues with Aghanim’s Scepter upgrade.
- Added sound to Guard.
- Added missing tooltips and lore.

Scaw’mar
- Mesmerize and Scryer’s Circle have been swapped. Scryer’s Circle is now the ultimate ability.
- Illusion Line Illusion duration increased from 8 to 12 seconds.
- Mesmerize cooldown reduced from 110/100/90 to 25.
- Mesmerize manacost reduced from 300/400/500 to 150/175/200/225.
- Mesmerize duration reduced from 6.0/7.0/8.0 to 2.5/3.0/3.5/4.0.
- Mesmerize cast range rescaled from 300/500/700 to 400/500/600/700.
- Mesmerize damage to break reduced from 100/250/400 to 100.
- Scryer’s Circle cooldown rescaled from 45/40/35/30 to 65/55/45.
- Scryer’s Circle manacost rescaled from 225/250/275/300 to 300/500/700.
- Scryer’s Circle Firebomb damage rescaled from 30/50/70/90 to 65/90/115.

Skoros
- Vision changed from 800/600 to 400/400
- Arbalest Reworked: When activated, allows Skoros to fire point-targeted attacks by initiating an attack move. Arbalest attacks provide vision while traveling and on contact with enemies.
- Arbalest no longer has a 10 second duration, but instead has 3 charges.
- Arbalest Cooldown changed to 16/13/10/7.
- Arbalest Range rescaled from 2000 to 1400/1600/1800/2000.
- Arbalest Projectile speed rescaled from 2000 to 1100/1200/1300/1400.
- Blackout reworked: Now a chance-based effect.
- Blackout Halt Chance: 25%.
- Blackout manacost rescaled from 120 to 90/100/110/120.
- Blackout duration increased from 5/6/7/8 to 6/7/8/9.
- Blackout damage reduced from 60/90/120/150 to 30/40/50/60.
- Nexus no longer interrupts the caster if a nexus unit casts a spell, and is much more responsive.
- Nexus is now able to transfer the active bonuses of Drums of Endurance, Mekansm, Pipe, Buckler, and Crimson Guard.
- Fixed interaction bugs with Nexus and Arbalest.
- Fixed issue with Nexus Aghanim’s upgrade and the armor debuff.
- Added Lore.

Sunagakure
- Skeleton Puppets cooldown rescaled from 19/16/13/10 to 17/14/11/8.
- Skeleton Puppets movespeed rescaled from 310/325/340/355 to 320/340/360/380.
- Skeleton Puppets BAT reduced from 1.5 to 1.0.
- Skeleton Puppets no longer die after being idle for 30 seconds.

Tenebris
- Blood Ward attacks reflected rescaled from 6 to 6/8/10/12.
- Blood Ward attacks to destroy rescaled from 3 to 3/4/5/6.
- Mortal Coil Bonus attackspeed per agility rescaled from 1.4/1.6/1.8/2.0 to 1.25/1.5/1.75/2.0.
- Effigy manacost increased from 100/150/200 to 200/225/250.
- Effigy duration reduced from 8/10/12 to 6/8/10.
- Effigy Scepter duration reduced from 20/25/30 to 10/15/20.

Veera
- Pursuing Strike renamed (again) to Predator Strike.
- Predator Strike cooldown reduced from 27/24/21/18 to 17/14/11/8.

Viscous Ooze
- Consume Item: ALL items that should be consumable are now consumable!!!
- Scepter now grants +4 max charges to Split Oozeling (6/7/8/9) instead of triple max charges.
- Improved some tooltips.
- Fixed bug which allowed you to sell items for full value by toggling Consume Item.
- Added note that Consume Item does not grant aura bonuses, attack modifiers, or effects which break upon taking damage.

Xarax
- Devil’s Cape cooldown increased from 30/26/22/18 to 40/34/28/22.
- Devil’s Cape manacost rescaled from 120/100/80/60 to 100.
- Trick Box #3 memes increased from 3 to 22!

Zulf
- Fixed missing sound effect on Cyclone Trap.

Patch 1.10a – The Next Generation

Balance Changes

Alpha Stryder
- Mana costs for spells now dynamically update as they are cast.
- Alternating Current additional mana cost changed from 20% per stack to 50% per stack.
- Static Charge damage increased from 10/14/18/22 to 25/35/45/55.
- Static Charge slow per stack increased from 10% to 20%.
- Static Charge stacks to stun reduced from 10 to 6.
- Static Charge mana cost increased from 10 to 20.
- Plasma Leap mana cost reduced from 50 to 40.
- Talon Spark mana cost reduced from 75 to 60.
- Talon Spark mana gained rescaled from 100/125/150/175 to 100/120/140/160.

Scaw’mar
- Illusion Line reworked: Scaw'mar soars to the targeted area along with four illusions shuffled in a horizontal line, disjointing projectiles and becoming invulnerable briefly.
- Illusion Line range: 600/700/800/900.
- Illusion Line illusions no longer deal magical damage when killed.
- Illusion Line Incoming Damage reduced from 1000% to 1000%/800%/600%/400%
- Illusion Line Outgoing Damage increased from 10% to 10%/12%/14%/16%.
- Illusion Line cooldown rescaled from 24/20/16/12 to 27/24/21/18.
- NEW ABILITY (replaces Fade Blink). Spirited Away: CHANNELED - Fades into the spirit realm after 2 seconds, becoming invulnerable and completely undetectable for a duration, as well as gaining flying movement. Cannot attack in the spirit realm, but can cast spells. When the effect ends, Scaw'mar must fade back to reality, becoming vulnerable again. Cooldown: 80/60/40/20.
- If Scaw'mar resides in the spirit realm while Illusion Line is cast, a fifth illusion will be spawned and Scaw'mar will remain at his current position.
- Scryer’s Circle Delay reduced from 6 seconds to 5 seconds.
- Scryer’s Circle Illusions now spawn 0.5 seconds after the spell is cast, rather than immediately.
- Added new particle effects.

Veera
- Base damage increased by 3.
- Pursuit renamed to Pursuing Strike.
- Pursuing Strike is now an attack ability similar to Walrus Punch. No longer forces you to attack a target. No longer has a cast range. No longer grants bonus movespeed.
- Pursuing Strike Damage rescaled from 10%/15%/20%/25% movespeed to 20 + 5%/10%/15%/20% movespeed.
- Plains Runner Movespeed limit increased from 600/650/700/750 to 600/700/800/900.

Hero Changelog

Cherub
- Pink flowers from Flower Garden now prioritize damaged units.
- Flower Garden flowers magic resistance reduced from 50% to 0%
- Purple flowers now increase magic resistance for nearby allies by 30%/40%/50%, rather than reduce magic resistance for nearby enemies.

Keen Commander
- Siege Mode no longer increases BAT, but instead makes each attack a fixed duration by reducing Keen’s attackspeed to the absolute minimum.
- Siege Mode seconds per attack: 5/4/3.
- Siege Mode is no longer a two-part ability, changed to a toggle.

Veera
- Thrill of the Hunt camera distances slightly changed.
- Thrill of the Hunt now provides a static vision bonus.

Viscous Ooze
- Reworked Scepter Upgrade: Now triples the maximum charges for Split Oozelings.
- Consumed Item: consumed items duration rescaled from 10 minutes to 10/20/30 minutes.
- Consume Item no longer reduces cooldown with levels.

NEW HERO: Karnage, the Keen Commander[dotaconcept.com]
NEW DEMO MODE. You can now test hero concepts on the hero demo map in a 2-player game. This will be the default mode for anyone who wants to try out new heroes without having to restart constantly. Bonus panel when cheats are enabled!

Hero Changes

Alpha Stryder
- Static Charge Manacost reduced from 20 to 10.
- Static Charge Bonus damage reduced from 15/25/35/45 to 10/14/18/22.
- Static Charge Slow duration rescaled from 2.0 to 1.0/1.4/1.8/2.2.
- Fixed Static Charge toggling when mana is too low.
- Static Charge slow is now a debuff.
- Plasma Leap distance rescaled from 550/700/850/1000 to 600/700/800/900.

Bellatrix
- Blood Rake range rescaled from 300/450/600/750 to 450/550/650/750.
- Sanguine Cross lifesteal increased from 60% to 75%.

Cherub
- Sleep Cloud Radius rescaled from 450/500/550/600 to 450/550/650/750.
- Explosive Spore mana cost increased from 75/90/105/130 to 90/105/130/155.

Ixhotil
- Gore (Left & Right) Manacost increased from 65 to 75.
- Base damage reduced by 4.

Keen Commander
- Recon Systems Shock damage increased from 20/40/60/80 to 150/200/250/300.
- Recon Systems Null Duration reduced from 8 seconds to 5 seconds.
- Recon Systems now purges for 0.5/1/1.5/2 seconds, rather than simply slowing.
- Recon Systems cooldown rescaled from 24/20/16/12 to 60/45/30/15.
- Recon Systems do not show heat signatures. Will be replaced with a scan-like feature.
- Recon Systems have no special interactions with Keen Commander’s other abilities.
- Mortar Shot Reworked: Karnage fires a barrage of mortar shots, starting from maximum range and gradually reducing range with each shot. While in Siege Mode, Karnage can raze large areas at a much greater range in half the time.
- Slag Armor cooldown reduced from 8/7/6/5 to 6/5/4/3.
- Slag Armor damage type changed from Physical to Magical.
- Slag Armor damage per second reduced from 10/15/20/25 to 7/12/17/22.
- Slag Armor Armor Reduction rescaled from 1/1/2/3 to 2.
- Slag Armor Damage does not increase with stacks.
- Slag Armor no longer slows.
- Siege Mode BAT is not a fixed 4.2/3.8/3.4.
- Added Scepter Upgrade: Slag Armor now deals an additional 5 damage per second per armor on the target unit.

Onimusha
- Dash base damage reduced from 50/70/90/110 to 40/60/80/100.
- Guard Manacost reduced from 85 to 45.
- Guard Cast point reduced from 0.15 to 0.1.
- Orochi bonus damage increased from 10/15/20/25 to 11/16/21/26.
- Orochi cooldown increased from 60 to 66.

Scaw’mar
- Fixed Mesmerize not being removed with damage. (oops…)
- Base armor reduced by 1.

Skoros
- Arbalest no longer has a manacost.
- Arbalest reworked: No longer causes you to swap spells. Now places a marker at a targeted location, causing Skoros to automatically fire projectiles towards it while he faces its general direction. Arbalest attacks are instant and have a cooldown based on your attackspeed, with a penalty that diminishes with levels.
- (NEW) Arbalest Attackspeed penalty: 45%/30%/15%/0%.
- Arbalest duration reduced from 12 seconds to 10 seconds.
- Arbalest cooldown rescaled from 24 seconds to 14/12/10/8 seconds.
- Arbalest cooldown now triggers after the duration expires.
- Arbalest Attacks no longer deal half damage to creeps.
- Arbalest projectile radius reduced from 200 to 100.
- Nexus can now be used on ally buildings.

Sunagakure
- Base armor increased by 1.

Veera
- Changed Veera’s dart particles.

Xarax
- Trap Door duration reduced from 30 seconds to 15 seconds.
- Trap Door cooldown reduced from 60/50/40/30 to 35/30/25/20.

Zulf
- Fixed Typhoon damage calculations for multiple units.
