Hello! I would like some help from anyone that knows where and how can I get started with modeling hero and adding animations as well as scripts? I mean all is fine to write it down and such but would be nice to also make it possible to test it in game and change it accordingly so it gets ballanced and all...

And yes the hero icon and all will be changed as soon as model is made...

Hey, this is Hammer the creator of Tenebris. I noticed you changed the mechanics of Fade Strike pretty heavily, which I feel really neuters the core mechanic of Tenebris, which is to channel DPS into single powerful blows. The original abililty modified the damage of an attack to be equivalent to 2.5 seconds of DPS with a 2 second cooldown. This one DRASTICALLY decreases your dps.

Hey, it might be a good idea to update the description. It currently links to www.playdota.com , which is a redirect to the archive. You should change the link to forums.playdota.com for the reborn site. Keep up the great work, guys!

Ahoy!

Sorry I've been gone these past few months. I've been implementing some custom abilities for a new Legends of Dota mod, you guys should check it out!

I'm going to update this soon with a new hero and some balance changes. I'm a little worried that the hero demo map is not going to work anymore since it seems to crash when I load it in Hammer. I'm unable to add bots since they also crash the game. Hopefully I can resolve that issue so you can always have a full game to play if you want!

As for new heroes, I haven't had much time to look over them (there are so many!) and I've got a rather long queue. Let me know if you want to help me add them!

@FantasySpacemarine We are going to have several game nights for /r/Dotaconcepts in the near future, but this mod might be a bit stale since I introduced it, so nobody is playing it right now. Once I have 10 custom heroes implemented, I will probably re-release this mod for 5v5 games.

Feel free to add me and I'll let you know when we have a party for it!

Damn, i REALLY want to play this mod, but there are allways no online players at all!
Seriusly, 3k+ subs and noone being ready to play. Anyone who played this mod, tell me, when is the best time to search for game here?

@Kurotoge I made a balance discussion thread for later down the road. I think balance will be easier to judge when there are more heroes and players, so I'll see what I can change once I see 5v5 games playing out.

Ooze ulti is bugged for several effects, sorry it affected heart! That's like his best item honestly.

Hey Man. Just played a bit of your Heros. I would really like to see a few changes to the line up. Veera Was a lot of fun to play, but i feel like early lane dominance is far to strong. Offlane Veera with Orb makes carries cry too hard, and in the otherhand is hard countered by heros like veno. Ooze Ulti needs a better decription. Ate a heart of tarrask, thinking its passive would still work, when only the stats applied. Cherub was interesting. I feel she was weak during laning phase, without anything for later in game. Xarax was the most interesting, but the micro on trapdoor was too hard. All in all, great work

OMG i love this thank you but can you look into a concept i LOVED from Heroes of Newerth I thought Geomancer was and amazing hero in that game and id love to see something like that

I have already planned to do one of Dirty Joe's concepts after I finish Xarax, since he's been really helpful with testing and being involved in this project.

Then I will probably even out the work between my heroes and other hero concepts, though I haven't decided how I'm going to choose which to add. Perhaps I'll host a contest on /r/Dotaconcepts in the near future!

The coding will be my first priority for sure. I have had people with modeling experience offer to do stuff for me, and my cousin is an aspiring voice actor, so I thought it would be worth tackling those fronts just to offer an interpretation of what each character would look/sound like. It wouldn't have to be on valve's standard, but if people were interested I would give them credit for their work.

I also want to make a guide on how you can create a hero's abilities with datadriven and lua scripts. It took me awhile to understand when I first started doing it, but now I can probably make a hero every other day. I'm sure it would help you guys a lot to have a guide focused on making your own custom heroes, so I will deliver! :steamhappy:

I rly love the idea of making the heroes from /r/Dotaconcepts in Dota, so they will get a face, something what anybody can play. Sadly I'm not so good in modeling and so on, but if some help other help is needed, I can give my best. Hopefully the day will come, when I can see one of my heroes in dota :)
