Description
Play and test hero concepts from /r/Dotaconcepts and Playdota![playdota.com] The objective is simple: lets create the next original Dota 2 hero. Though these concepts are not at all guaranteed to make it into the main game, we will continue to improve, rework, and rebalance them as we add more to play.

You can watch spotlight videos made by Carbon and ILikeDota above to understand the concepts before you try them out ingame, or read the original concepts in the links below. If you want to test these heroes by yourself, I recommend entering a private lobby of hero_demo, with cheats enabled, to gain access to the demo tools and have the ability to switch your hero ingame.

Other plans and future implementations:

The Black Market - A special sideshop that is only open an night, selling niche items that have limited stock shared by both sides. (concept by ZizZizZiz)
Updated UI - To better present the heroes and the project's main objectives.
Promotional Videos - For showing off heroes and gathering feedback.
Tournaments - Competitive to help balance heroes, or casual for the enjoyment of watching Dota 2 personalities play it. Hats may also be included!
Art, lore, voice responses, and even hero models!

Hello! I would like some help from anyone that knows where and how can I get started with modeling hero and adding animations as well as scripts? I mean all is fine to write it down and such but would be nice to also make it possible to test it in game and change it accordingly so it gets ballanced and all...

Hey, this is Hammer the creator of Tenebris. I noticed you changed the mechanics of Fade Strike pretty heavily, which I feel really neuters the core mechanic of Tenebris, which is to channel DPS into single powerful blows. The original abililty modified the damage of an attack to be equivalent to 2.5 seconds of DPS with a 2 second cooldown. This one DRASTICALLY decreases your dps.

Hey, it might be a good idea to update the description. It currently links to www.playdota.com , which is a redirect to the archive. You should change the link to forums.playdota.com for the reborn site. Keep up the great work, guys!

Ahoy!

Sorry I've been gone these past few months. I've been implementing some custom abilities for a new Legends of Dota mod, you guys should check it out!

I'm going to update this soon with a new hero and some balance changes. I'm a little worried that the hero demo map is not going to work anymore since it seems to crash when I load it in Hammer. I'm unable to add bots since they also crash the game. Hopefully I can resolve that issue so you can always have a full game to play if you want!

As for new heroes, I haven't had much time to look over them (there are so many!) and I've got a rather long queue. Let me know if you want to help me add them!
