Update: Sep 14, 2018 @ 5:17pm

Global
------

-Reduced baseline accuracy of all small arms from 66% to 50%.

-Vehicle-based camouflage abilities now have an additional requirement that the vehicle not be in combat. In addition, the length of time needed to hide the vehicle is now based on the size of the vehicle, with larger vehicles needing more time to hide them.

Germans (Ostfront / Wehr)
-------------------------

-Tiger Ace can now be ordered to adopt a camouflage stance when the tank is in cover and stationary.

Known Issues
------------

-Fallschirmjaeger squads for Ostfront Germans have no speech.

Designer Notes
---------------

* Note: Most German infantry (with the exception of Volks and Ostruppen) still benefit from the "Exceptional Training" perk that gives a bonus to baseline accuracy, but the resulting accuracy is not as high as it used to be. Same goes for elite infantry like Paratroopers and Commandos, although their accuracy is still pretty impressive (84% at close range). Gaining vet still improves that by the way.

Update: Sep 9, 2018 @ 5:55pm

Global
------

-Reduced turning speeds of all heavy tanks / assault guns / tank destroyers to 15.*

-Tweaked tank gun accuracy so that it tapers off more smoothly over range.

Americans
---------

-Combined Arms ability changed to a passive unlock that makes an upgrade available to all M4 Medium Tanks. The upgrade allows nearby infantry to boost the accuracy and sight range of the upgraded M4.**

Germans (Ostfront / Wehr)
-------------------------

-Fixed a bug where if the vehicle cap for the SdKfz 251/17 was met, the build icon would disappear until a vehicle was destroyed or abandoned / decrewed.

-Reduced HP of sWS emplacements / buildings to 800.

Germans (Westfront / OKW)
-------------------------

-Fixed a bug where if the unit cap for the SdKfz 251/17 was met, the build icon would disappear until a vehicle was destroyed or abandoned / decrewed.

-Fixed a bug where motorized Panzergrenadier squads had a lower unit cap than intended.

-Increased Command Point requirements for the Jagdtiger from 13 to 15 CP's.

-Reduced HP of sWS emplacements / buildings to 800.

Known Issues
------------

-Fallschirmjaeger squads for Ostfront Germans have no speech.

Designer Notes
---------------

* Note that this applies to the M4 "Jumbo" and the Sturmpanzer IV as well, due to the amount of armor they had.

** A short while after the Normandy landings, someone came up with the idea of modifiying a Sherman with a externally-mounted field telephone patched into the tank's own intercom system and housed in a 30 cal ammo box that was welded to the back of the tank. This allowed infantry to talk to the crew of the tank when it was buttoned up and warn them of threats or point out targets of opportunity that the crew might miss. This was a more successful attempt at allowing infantry to communicate with and help guide the tanks that were supposed to be supporting them and the idea slowly caught on. This was due to the fact that U.S. Army Tank and Infantry radios operated on different frequencies, making cooperation and coordination rather difficult at times.

Update: Sep 2, 2018 @ 4:16pm

Americans
---------

-Fixed a bug where the range of the M1 81mm Mortar's barrage ability was shorter than intended.

-Increased turret traverse speed of M5A1 "Stuart" from 15 to 24.

-Increased turret traverse speed of T26E "Pershing" from 20 to 24.

British
-------

-Increased turret traverse speed of M5A1 "Stuart" from 15 to 24.

Germans (Ostfront / Wehr)
-------------------------

-Commanders / Doctrines that offer a Command Tank in vCOH2 no longer unlock a Panzerkompanie. Instead, an Artillery Observer Tank is available as a call-in.*

-Jagdpanzer IV/70 Tank Destroyers now benefit from the Spotting Scope upgrade (when available).

-Picking an Armored Panzergrenadierkompanie is now an option at the HQ for Heer and Waffen-SS. Commander unlocks that previously granted this have their original abilities reinstated.**

-Picking a Panzerkompanie is now an option at the HQ for Heer and Waffen-SS.

Germans (Westfront / OKW)
-------------------------

-Elite Armor Doctrine no longer unlocks a Panzerkompanie. Instead, an Artillery Observer Tank is available as a call-in.*

-Elite Armor Konigstiger call-in now requires 13 Command Points.

-Picking a Panzerkompanie is now an option at the HQ.

-Reinstated the Signal Relay ability for Elite Armor Doctrine for now.**

Known Issues
------------

-Fallschirmjaeger squads for Ostfront Germans have no speech.

Designer Notes
---------------

* The tank is a Panzerbeobachtungswagen IV, an Ausf. J converted for use as a spotter vehicle for mobile howitzer batteries. The vehicle lacked a coax MG to make room for extra radios and had a range finder for picking out targets at long range. That being said, the vehicle is treated as having the Spotting Scope upgrade already equipped, meaning it'll have double the sight range when stationary and of course has an artillery barrage ability. Note: The vet requirement for the cammo ability for Panzer IV's is removed for this vehicle.

** Seeing as Elite Armor no longer unlocks a Panzerkompanie and that OKW players can get armored Panzergrenadiers as an option ANYWAY, the vet squad call-in just feels redundant. With regard to the changes to certain commanders, it's been pointed out that players are a bit too reliant on certain commanders in general and that's a valid point. That being said, I'd like to get away from this a bit, but still allow some commanders to change the flavor of player forces a bit because it makes sense to do so. Cases in point, Luftwaffe Ground Troops, commanders with Guards Troops, that sort of thing.

Update: Aug 23, 2018 @ 5:52pm

Germans (Ostfront / Wehr)
------------------------------------

-Fixed Jaeger Armor Doctrine so that it properly unlocks an armored Panzergrenadier company.

-Fixed a bug where destroying an Sd.Kfz 251/16 wouldn't generate a damaging "flame puddle".

Germans (Westfront / OKW)
--------------------------------------

-Fixed a bug where destroying an Sd.Kfz 251/16 wouldn't generate a damaging "flame puddle".

Update: Aug 19, 2018 @ 6:20pm

-Fixed a bug where ammo-rack criticals would fail to damage to damage units that were too close to the exploding vehicle.

-Increased flamethrower detonation chance to 20%.

-Increased radius of effect when a flamethrower pack detonates.

-Mortar Barrages now back to working as intended.*

-Reduced auto-attack range of all mortars by half.*

-Increased cap for Anti-tank Gun Teams to 6.**

-Platoon HQ's now benefit from a Bazooka Team.

Germans (Ostfront / Wehr)
-------------------------

-Changed requirements for Company HQ units: They will no longer require a Company Support building to obtain.****

Germans (Westfront / OKW)
-------------------------

-Changed requirements for Company HQ units: They will no longer require a Company Support building to obtain.****

-When playing as a Volksgrenadier company, picking an 8cm mortar team will now lock out 12cm mortars and vice versa.

Soviets
-------

-Reduced blast radius size of 6-Pounder AP round (used by Lend Lease Valentine) from 2.5 m to 0.5 m.

Known Issues
------------

-Fallschirmjaeger squads for Ostfront Germans have no speech.

Designer Notes
---------------

* Part of the fix involves allowing mortar teams to attack ground. I know some of you hate mortars being able to attack ground - especially in FoW - but if you want barrage abilities to work, there's no other way around this. As a concession, I've cut the auto-attack range by half...which also cuts attack-ground range by half. Barrage abilities work out to the mortar's full stated range but can't be used in FoW (with the exception of smoke rounds).

** The Anti-Tank Platoons were comprised of 3 Gun Sections / Teams each. Two platoons would typically be allocated to support a Rifle Company, while only one platoon was allocated for an Armored Rifle Company.

*** Note that "Nationality" restrictions still apply: Historically, Canadian and South African units never had access to Fireflies.

**** This includes Sniper, AT, and MG Teams, and command units.

Update: Aug 15, 2018 @ 4:49pm

Germans (Ostfront / Wehr)
-------------------------

-Anti-personnel Grenades fired by some tanks and other vehicles should no longer damage buildings.

Germans (Westfront / OKW)
-------------------------

-Anti-personnel Grenades fired by some tanks and other vehicles should no longer damage buildings.

-Fixed an issue where Panther Ausf. G's weren't available as a Divisional Support option if Elite Armor Doctrine was chosen.

Update: Aug 13, 2018 @ 5:12pm

Global
------

-Addressed some potential issues where a few weapons could inflict casualties on all members of any and all garrisoned squads, even if the blast radius wouldn't normally allow this.*

-Reduced base accuracy and increased scatter of mortars based on bomb caliber. Larger mortars will have a bit more scatter than smaller ones.

-Light vehicles, such as Kubelwagens and WC51's, now take 100% more damage from Tank / Anti-tank guns.

Known Issues
------------

-Barrage abilities for mortars will not work as intended. Still attempting to find a solution.

-Fallschirmjaeger squads for Ostfront Germans have no speech.

Designer Notes
---------------

* This includes one last damn tweak to the Lend Lease Valentine's gun. If this doesn't fix that random issue with squads being wiped in trenches, I'll pull the Valentine until the tools are FINALLY updated.

-Fixed a bug where 8.8 cm PaK 43 emplacements were not available to build from the Emplacements build menu when a Volksgrenadier Kompanie / Fortifications Doctrine was chosen.

Soviets
----------

-Removed HE rounds from Valentine VIII for the time being.****

Known Issues
------------

-Barrage abilities for mortars will not work. Still attempting to find a solution.

-Fallschirmjaeger squads for Ostfront Germans have no speech.

Designer Notes
---------------

* This is actually a bit of a buff for U.S. Rifle Squads to give them the ability to keep enemy heads down better.

** Research revealed that a SINGLE battery of M7 Priests had 2 Gun Sections...with each section comprised of 3 Priests.

*** This is really where the Pack Howitzer belongs as it was intended for use by Airborne and Mountain Divisions (there was exactly ONE of the latter). Besides, the standard 57mm M1 AT Gun was considered to be too heavy to be transported by U.S. gliders and was, realistically far too heavy to be paradropped. The only AT Gun that the Paras DID get and that could be deployed by glider / parachute was the 37mm M3...which there is no model for ingame and at any rate it quiet honestly sucked as an AT Gun. Funny thing is that U.S. Airborne troops did get some modified 6-pounders developed for glider transport from the British, but those only available to U.S. paratroops around December 1944 at best.

**** Apparently there are reports of a random bug where it's possible to squad-wipe entrenched infantry with HE rounds. I can't track down the cause and until I can do so and fix it, I'd rather just pull the thing.

Update: Aug 5, 2018 @ 8:00am

Global
------

- AT Infantry Teams (Bazookas, AT Rifles, Schrecks) now benefit from concealment when in cover at Vet 1 rather than Vet 3.*

Known Issues
------------

-Barrage abilities for mortars will not work. Still attempting to find a solution.

-Fallschirmjaeger squads for Ostfront Germans have no speech.

Designer Notes
---------------

* This should help Bazooka and AT Rifle teams in particular.

** These teams have dedicated squad leaders, so I wanted to keep things consistent.

Designer Notes
---------------

* If you want or need to cammo your scout units...find cover that can hide your units.
