lol, why can the artillery shoot across the entire map? i murdered the AI with priests while the priests stood in my own base. You can just shoot from spawn to spawn, even with the small 60mm mortars (at least as USF).

i have personally come to say how much i fucking hate this mod and that it fucking SUCKS

why is British so bugged like cannot repair their fortifications and any commander specific upgrades are bugging and not working while in German heer grenadier I can only build schwere mortars once and when they're dead they disappear

The US is way overpowered. I haven't been able to win against them in normal mode. I have also tried to ally with a standard US AI against two hard German AIs... well I didn't do nuffin except some border control on victory points and the normal US AI wiped the floor with two hard German AIs.

Has anyone figured out if its possible to play AGAINST the US on this mod? They seem to have unlimited plane support and after about 10 minutes of gametime they own the skies making it imposible to win due to the fact that i dont have enough command points to get flak emplacements yet. It makes the game unplayable vs the americans. Anyone else have this issue? Bug?

I don't know if it's a bug or what but I like the mod aside from the AI always shoot me when I can't even see them including mortaring me/ No enemies near me or scouts. But always shooting through the Fog of War. If I'm just not understanding something please let me know because it's really annoying.

The AI for both German factions doesn't build HQ buildings or capture points on any maps.

Hey all - my apologies for the 3 month hiatus. Real life issues and all. I just pushed a minor update that should largely resolve AI issues with U.S. I've noticed that some issues with German AI (Ostheer and OKW) seems to be partly related to some custom. That said, I'll see what I can do.

artillery is very rarely fired blindly, and when it is, it is most often not going to do much, by not allowing arty to fire blind is actually kind of realistic, because they always use some kind of recon for it.

@Comrade Maethor I mean, to be fair, accurate barrages often required a forward observer. Artillery fire was markedly less effective when fired blind.

The player that knows their base can be shelled basically from the word go with the right doctrine. You're intended to get eyes on the target, either in the form of aerial recon or ground recon, then bomb whatever it is back to the stone age. It makes sense but you have to think about it.

Maybe it's a glitch or I'm missing something, but artillery not being able to fire into the fog of war really doesn't fit into this whole "realism" idea. It basically makes arty pointless. Is it possible that this is a glitch? Because, honestly, there is no way in hell the dev thought that this was a good idea. What Company of Heroes player would ever want to remove the ability of arty firing into the fog of war?

Just out of curiosity, since I've been mainly playing Wehrmacht with a smattering of US Forces: what exactly is the difference between the Heer- and SS-Kampfgruppen? It says in the description the SS takes longer to replace but are better trained, etc, but I haven't seen an actual representation in-game that makes them different in any way. Am I missing something obvious?

Is Wehrmacht AI working properly? I mean, sometimes it works just fine but sometimes the AIs doesn't set up any buildings, they just keep training the units that can be built at the very first HQ. I'm not sure if this is only my problem or what...

Still, I LOVE this mod, it's my favorite!

One of my favorite mods in that game. Mod have fantastic balance and add a lot of realism to game. A lot of updates are uploading fixes some bugs and glitches. Thx devs, keep up the good work

After trying it out, I wonder what's the point of choosing any other company over armored/motor? To be specific, I've played brits two times, first time I've chosen commandos involuntarily, which, while quite cool, got sprayed all over the buildings of Angloville the moment first scout car popped up, they were getting severly beaten up by base mg nests before that. Second time I've quite conciously chosen armored corps and absolutely devastated the enemy the moment I've had my first Centaur, which was about 5 minutes into the game. After seeing that, I fail to see how any infantry centered doctrine could beat an armored one.

Usually I rock pop cap annihilation. It also seems to vary greatly depending on what doctrines the AI chooses. Some seem to bumble around while others show no quarter. I have noticed it's very skiddish when it comes to combined arms advances. The AI doesn't seem to want to engage until it's gotten something resembling numerical superiority. If you've seized territory and locked it down with MG's and AT, It typically will not advance.

I'm not certain if the AI is broken, but we're noticing that it's fairly passive and timid when it ought to be more aggressive; its very easy to grab territory and map control early, and on victory point maps it puts up very little resistance to player-capped objectives. Is there any reccomended winconditions for the game?
