0.16.2 Bug Fixes/Balance

I am back, and I am here to fix some things and improve some stuff! :D

Changes/Fixes
  • Fixed the Abomination not wielding any primary weapon

  • Fixed an issue causing the Forsaken Javelin to do less damage than intended when thrown, should now do a good amount of damage (70 + high tier throwable damage)

  • Reduced Lifesteal of Javelin of the Forsaken and Infernal Weapons 15%->11% as I felt they were overperforming and granting too much health

  • Increased High Shaman Damage a bit, as I felt he/she was too easy in terms of damage.

  • Reduced HP of Unliving Protector by 33%, fighting an enemy with too much hp can get tedious fast.

  • Increased hp for Council Armorer and Enchanter by double, now they won't be such a hassle to enthrall, especially the suicidal Enchanter.

  • Increased respawn timer for Council Enemies 10/15min -> 20 min

  • Added two additional small outposts along the mountain by the Frost Temple with 2 Council of Wolves enemies each.

  • Strange Beasts should now have a bit more Armor Penetration with Firebreath and AoE, 10% -> 15/20%

  • Increased Molten Overlord Armor Pen, 12,1% -> 17,1% as you can't modify the weapon.

0.16.0

Released the update a little bit before september as I am going away for a while in the coming days

This update has been tested on a liveserver and in singleplayer on the live game and any bugs I encountered have been fixed. If you come across a bug I have missed, please report it so I can fix it asap

Keep in mind to read the known issues section if you have the problems where the movesets don't work as intended, it's not because of my mod.

Additions:
  • Added new heavy armor set (good for cold), with 4 helmet variations

  • The entrance in/out of the volcano by the Temple of Frost now features an area with new NPCs, including the Enchanter thrall that goes into the Godly Enchanting table, and a new Armorer.

  • Two new weapons, an exploding throwable javelin that might explode in your hands while using it in melee, applies burn. And a new axe that can knockdown and periodically stun opponents and apply an unavoidable cold temperature debuff. The new javelin is learned by converting the new Enchanter Thrall and the Axe has a 5% drop chance from the NPC Chieftain. If you obtain two of the axes you can convert them into dual wielded weapons through the Enchanter Thrall.

  • New thrall, Council of Wolves Enchanter, will be able to be put into the Godly Enchanting table. Grant two new recipes. Grants half requirements and increased crafting speed. These Enchanter's wield the Volatile Spear and are very suicidal and crazy.

  • New thrall, Council of Wolves Armorer, will be able to be put into the Armorer's Benches, will provide the recipes for the additional helmets of the new armor set. Grants half requirements and increased crafting speed.

  • New Armor can be learned in the Council of Wolves Construction Site Area, by an armor Stand, requires to have learned Perfected Upgraded Weapons Feat.



    Fixes/changes:
    • Changed Forsaken Javelin moveset, can now throw unlimited blood Javelin's that apply bleed. I felt like the "Trumpet" heavy attacks were not performing as I wanted them too, and I felt I wanted the Javelin to live up to what it is, a Javelin.

    • Due to the change in moveset, adding a projectile, your previous Javelin has become dismantlable, where you can now claim a Javelin of the Forsaken anew by dismantling it at a dismantling bench, as keeping the old Javelin would prevent you from using the projectile in the new moveset.

    • Changed and improved Meruvian Sorceic Staff Moveset slightly, making the offhand shoot a double fireball and one main heavy shoot flames like the flame spells.

    • Increased amount of Shards of Skelos needed to craft a spellbook 4 -> 5 as I felt they are very easy to get now compared to before.

    • Changed Skelos pieces in the new dungeon to give fragments instead, which you can dismantle for ingredients.

    • Added Composite Obsidian as a crafting ingredient in Dragonsteel Bars, as I felt these were underused in the game and other mods.

    • You can now use Infernal Weapons under level 300 but it will be much more lethal to you, the wielder

    • Meruvian Fighter Atop the tower of bats can now become Fighter thralls.

    • Reverted Meruvian's damage output as I wanted to put more control into server owner's hands on how to adjust their damage without interfering too much with other NPCs in a negative way.

    • Reduced Meruvian Fighter health to make sure that their thrall hp is not too ridicilous. (9900 hp as thrall, if you have more it might be another mod that increases thrall hp)

    • Increased Stamina Drain on Lightsabers and Spells.

    • Lightsabers hp% dmg no longer ignores armor in PvE, the additional damage still does though.

    • Lightsabers are no longer moddable, pre-update sabers are unaffected, making them quite unique ;)

    • Spells no longer cause corruption, and will instead apply cold or warm buffs to the wielder. The flame spell will apply a warm buff to the wielder for example, while the gas spell will apply a cold buff to the wielder.

    • Changed spell descriptions

    • Some slight damage changes here and there

    • Infernal Spell no longer stunlocks and works like the other spells in terms of knockback.

    • Additional adjustments to the High Shaman to make him/her more fun to encounter, reducing his/her damage output but providing him/her with additional knockback resistance.

    • Meruvians now how a slight chance to drop Heart of a Hero.

    • Additional minor changes.

0.15.4 Bug Fixes

This update has been tested on a liveserver for 3 hours without issues.

Fixes/changes:
  • Fixed the Javelin of the Forsaken not being craftable

  • Increased damage output of enemies in the mod

  • Buffs no longer ignore armor in PvE

  • Additional Ymir's Warcry changes to make it more fun and reliable to use, now applies damage over time in PvE and casts faster but cost a bit more stamina and has a bit reduced damage

  • Improved Bloody Disenchantment buff slightly

  • Improved Spell PvE Damage

  • Improved Molten Core buff in PvE and slightly in PvP

  • Reduced health of Abomination and High Shaman greatly

  • Fixed the Sky turning randomly dark

A really urgent issue popped up with the 0.15.2 update that I needed to fix asap, I am really sorry for any inconvenience

Fixes:
  • Fixed the Strange Heart being depleted the instant you get it in your inventory

  • Fixed the Ymir's Warcry affecting all attacks with Frostbite

Unfortunately, due to the issue with the High Shaman sometimes not being lootable I have to release another hotfix. I am sorry for any inconvenience. If you are having any issues updating the mod, there is links to old versions of the mod in the disscussions section.

Special thanks to user Bacon Overlord for the patronage, as an extra thank you can learn to make a new weapon in Bacon Overlords name, the Molten Overlord, great at heating up enemies but also bacon, it features a buff (Molten Core) that deals increased damage depending on how much armor value your enemy has. The weapon feat can be learned somewhere in the new area

0.15.1 Hotfix

If you are experiencing issues with animations and such, that is usually a conflict, and means that you probably loaded a mod with an outdated enumeration table after EEWA. Load EEWA after other weapon mods to bypass the issue.

I try to constantly make sure the mod is as fun for as many people as possible, while maintaining balance and staying true to my visions. Corruption drain on Spells have been reduced, but damage, stamina etc... remains the same. Check the changes below

Fixes/Additions/Changes
  • Fixed some incorrect recipes, like the Meruvian light armor needing medium padding

  • Corrected an issue making it possible to get ontop of the hut in the new area

  • Thundercall is now faster and you gain hyperarmor once you started channeling

  • Changed hp reduction with tempest weapons down to 12% from 25%

  • Fixed a long existing minor issue, with purifying weapons, where when you would equip or unequip your offhand weapon, you would stop being purified

  • Made some changes to the loot tables of the Meruvians, they still drop the same things, but not in as large quantities

  • Reverted Spell Corruption changes, you now gain the old amount of corruption when using a spell

  • All spells now deal about 45-60 more damage to NPCs (not players)

  • Very slightly increased Flame Spell damage

  • Added a new consumable, "Exhausting Potion of Purification" in the Purist Feat, that you can craft to remove all corruption, but at the cost of stamina and some of your health

  • Mitra's Virtue now only drains 90% of your stamina

  • (Hopefully) fixed the issue with the High Shaman being unlootable at certain times

  • Fixed some minor texture issues

  • Reduced drop chance of Blood Stained Journal (teaches Hemoglobalist Feat), as it was basically a guaranteed drop

  • Energy Sword now has a working Lunge, and can be used with offhand weapons (lunge is a bit janky but is WIP)

  • Added 2 new spells
    Ymir's Warcry that chills the user and applies cripple and coldsnap to the enemy. Locks you in place while casting it. Is learned with Godly Arsenal Feat
    Blood Spell, that drains some of your hp to apply bleed to enemies. Is learned with Hemoglobalist Feat.

  • Increased Lifesteal for Infernal Weapons and The Javelin of the Forsaken from 12%-> 15%

There has been an issue with Fatal Errors entering one of portals, this is probably due to a conflict, report these incidents along with what mods you/your server is running in the "Post Bugs here" discussion. Thank you :D

New big update!

Additions/changes:
  • Added Altar of Bat below the destroyed bridge of the Bat Tower, along with moving the Albino Bat Demon head there. Now low level players can still obtain the Awakaned Staff without journeying all the way to the portal by all the high level enemies.

  • The portal now leads to a new small area (previously lead to the frost temple), this area contains a lot of stuff and the only way to progress is to explore and figure out secrets.

  • Added two new armor sets, one light armor set and one medium armor set. Obtainable by the tower and in the new dungeon.

  • Added a new javelin weapon with a unique moveset.

  • Renamed High Priest to High Shaman as that fits more with the lore

  • Revisited NPCs and adjusted aggro and chase range

  • Reduced health on wendigos and high shaman

  • Unliving Mask can now be repaired with Legendary repair kits

  • Changed how many buffs worked, instead giving them a high start damage and small damage increases with more stacks to keep more things fair in PvP while still remaining powerful in PvE.

  • Changed and fixed several incorrect weight values on weapons, two daggers should not weigh 7.5 haha

  • Some minor recipe changes

  • Other changes/fixes

Ah, those spells. Let's address those.

Spells are supposed to be fun and cool, they were both, except for when you land on the other end of a gasspell stun fest.

I have decided to revamp the spells in some major ways.
  • Spells now have durabillity, not too much of it either. Needs to be repaired with Holy Repair Kit (or Heirloom Kit AoC fex)

  • Spells cannot be modified

  • Significantly reduced damage (damage and modifiers)

  • Quick stuns have been removed from the spells (except Infernal spell) however some knockback may still occur (not thourougly tested)

  • Doubled the corruption gain of spells

  • Increased stamina usage

  • Most of these changes were not applied to Thundercall, as I felt it was a bit underutillized and has instead recieved a small buff

Don't forget to tell me about any bugs you might encounter when you play. I am hoping I won't have to do a hotfix, as I tested the mod thouroughly in Singleplayer before release. But you never know.

As is the case with other updates, I might need to release a asap hotfix if issues popup, I hope you can respect this.

Fixes/additions

This update is a big one, effectively turning EEWA from a very extensive Weapon Mod into more of a conversion mod, extending the endgame in more ways that just adding weaponry.

When I started making progress on this update I was focused on fixing issues and some PvP balance, along with trying to set up the first bow in the mod! Which I am really excited for.

I have been playing a lot on a fairly populated modded PvP server, and I noticed that players were fighting tongue and cheek over every last piece of Power Fragments. I felt like there should be more versatile ways to get fragments than just constantly camping the Unnamed City.

While I have reduced the Fragments needed for Spellbooks by making a new type of crafting material (more info below), I felt like Fragments should not be a tedious chore to do. (Farming Unnamed City can be a bit too repetitive imo.)

So I decided.

Let's make my own NPC camp with unique new NPCs inspired by Conan lore.


Meruvians, worshippers of the Evil God Yama, has conquered and taken over The Tower of Bats!

Although it's unsure what Meruvians are doing in the Exiled Lands, it does seem like they brought with one of their most Elite High Priests.
They have laid waste to the Albino Bat Demon on top of The Tower of Bats, and taken the tower for themselves
.
It seems The High Priest is opening up the gateway, that leads somewhere in the Exiled Lands. Although it seems the gateway might lead to different locations in the future.

It is said that with the power of Yama and Meru at their disposal, the High Priest is extremely powerful and carries many treasures of power.

But the Priest can not carry all treasures of power, and have left some around in hidden spots by the tower. Some have been given to the High Priest's personal creatures as well.

Fight for thrill, bloodshed, treasures or something greater.

It's all in your hands, Exile.



Here come the update notes

Fixes
  • Fixed all custom buffs to accustom buff system change a while ago. Now you will get the kill and xp if an enemy player or NPC dies from your buff.

  • Fixed several sounds being too loud (This will be progressively changed depending on if I lowered too much or too little)

  • Fixed several minor issues

    I have been testing quite extensively this update to try and make sure no issues are present, but please keep in mind there might be issues that can popup. If there are issues, please respect that I will try and update the mod again asap.


Changes to Sabers
  • Can be repaired with Holy Weapon Repair Kits now.

  • The Scorch buff has now been changed from a instant one tick hard damage, to a very powerful short burst damage over time buff, it will now technically deal more damage, but rewards tactical play a bit more, for both sides, making PvP more enjoyable.

  • All lightsaber types now have different movesets. Force Pull sabers feature a more aggressive style, while Force lightning sabers feature a more elegant style and Force Push users have a more precise and cunning style.


Changes to other weapons
  • New models for Unsuspicious Staff and Blade of Imbued Lightning.

  • Unsuspicious Staff has been renamed to Meruvian Sorceic Staff.

  • Reduced damage output of many buffs in PvP, making sure they are still good but more fair and still very powerful in PvE.

  • Changed some swords moveset into the bastard moveset.

  • Reduced Upgraded Weapon Fire Brightness and increased Light Radius instead from feedback

  • Slightly increased spell corruption gain.

Item Additions
  • New Bow, Asura's Wrath, crafted at Improved Carpenters Bench and learned in the Godly Feat. Periodically applies Godly Smite. Is compatible with AoC arrows.

  • Thundercall Spell, calls upon thunder and then strikes it outwards from your person, dealing damage in an aoe. Applies burn and sunder buffs, but does minor damage on hit. Very good initiation or escape spell. Can be crafted at Firebowl Cauldron in the Magic Arsenal Feat.

  • Unliving Mask, a new and first armor item of this mod. Grants high armor and is classified as light armor, periodically rids wearer of debuffs (even godly/infernal smite) and returns a portion of missing health. Can only be acquired by killing Meruvian High Priest with a low drop chance


Recipe Changes
  • New crafting ingredient that is used for Spellbooks and Unstable Krystallions.
    Shard of Skelos
    60 Corrupted Stone 2 Fragments of Power 75 Human Blood 25 Crystals

  • Changed the recipe of the Spellbooks to require less Fragments, but however, now you need to be on the lookout for new ingredients.
    4 Shards of Skelos (Equals 8 Frags, 240 Corrupt Stone, 300 Human Blood, 100 Crystals) 70 Alchemical Base 10 Purple Lotus Powder 1 Journal

And the new NPC camp is by the Tower of Bats to the Left (South) of the Unnamed City Entrance.
You can find loads of good loot there, and getting fragments there is very reliable.

These new enemies are quite hard, and if they are not I will make them harder. :D

The boss (Meruvian High Priest) also has custom battle music from Age of Conan, for you veterans. Enjoy ;D

Description of the mod to accommodate new changes will be made in August (busy schedule atm)

  • Unliving Mask, a new and first armor item of this mod. Grants high armor and is classified as light armor, periodically rids wearer of debuffs (even godly/infernal smite) and returns a portion of missing health. Can only be acquired by killing Meruvian High Priest with a low drop chance


Recipe Changes
  • New crafting ingredient that is used for Spellbooks and Unstable Krystallions.
    Shard of Skelos
    60 Corrupted Stone 2 Fragments of Power 75 Human Blood 25 Crystals

  • Changed the recipe of the Spellbooks to require less Fragments, but however, now you need to be on the lookout for new ingredients.
    4 Shards of Skelos (Equals 8 Frags, 240 Corrupt Stone, 300 Human Blood, 100 Crystals) 70 Alchemical Base 10 Purple Lotus Powder 1 Journal

And the new NPC camp is by the Tower of Bats to the Left (South) of the Unnamed City Entrance.
You can find loads of good loot there, and getting fragments there is very reliable.

These new enemies are quite hard, and if they are not I will make them harder. :D

The boss (Meruvian High Priest) also has custom battle music from Age of Conan, for you veterans. Enjoy ;D
