Changelog - March 4, 2021 Update

SAVE GAME COMPATIBLE - Please restart Steam to have Part 1 & 2 to download the updates and take affect

General Changes
- Cleaned up faction description texts on campaign selection screen
- Added speed and combat penalties in battles to forced march stance
- A few campaign music corrections and removing some Attila leftovers.
- Corrected Ptolemy textures


Battlemap/Siege Updates
- Some Mid Eastern/Greek city updated to larger cities
- Nicomedia - Corrected rotation
- Ancrya - replaced with proper map
- Carthgo Nova - expanded access at the walls - Victory point at the temple - Escalation fixes that cause towers missing - landing zone only in city for the AI - adding go zone to try and prioritize landing
- Antioch - Adjusted deployment areas for AI - Added land bridge over north river - can now access hilly forest and fight in there area; this may have caused lag in battles previously.

Hispalis - (Roman version is temporarily replaced by generic barbarian map)

Pack Updates
- Removed redundant battlemaps, freed up 1.5GB in pack 2
- Moved maps from pack 1 to pack 2 - Freeing up additional space

ANCIENT EMPIRES 2.0

This update includes an extensive number of fixes, tweaks, and general improvements, even more than this changelog actually records. The most significant ones are

24 New playable factions for a total of 45
Naval combat overhaul with a rock paper scissors type of gameplay
Completely reworked Garrison system
Hundreds of new units added
Completely reworked music playlist and sounds including Rome TW 1 Speeches
Complete Area of Recruitment overhaul
Significantly more aggressive AI
Reworked difficulty settings designed for different playstyles and players
Several interesting new scripts such as nicknames, annex vassals, dynamic faction names and more
Numerous new events and dilemmas such as slave rebellions, riots, public games and more
Larger battle maps to make full use of ultra unit sizes
Numerous new siege maps, from Thrones of Britannia, Rome 2, and custom made (And being continually updated)
Campaign and battle map visual overhaul to better fit antiquity
Added Rebellions to all regions
Thousands of other tweaks, fixes, amendments and polish!

Ancient Empires Public Release v1.2.02 - Change log

***To minimize end turn crashes, I would suggest start a new campaign - However, not needed if you are currently enjoying one. Please only report crashes on campaigns that are started fresh from this patch forward.***

New Start Pos - Reduced amount of rebel factions to spawn - Reduces chance of end turn faction crash

Implemented Supply Script into main game
Updated to ALL Hellenic faction recruitment. Recruitment is now available in main buildings - AI was having trouble creating armies as it was not prioritizing barracks buildings - Will continue to work on the prioritization, therefore, recruitment may change again at another date
All large cities can now build siege bastion equipment when defending a settlement
New Invasions scripts added for Rome and Macedon

Corrected Jewish rebellion to occur at set time
Fixed Parthian Spearman units name missing
Corrected Gallic building incorrectly adding bonuses due to Hellenic culture
Fixes to graphic errors with Seleucid units
Fixes to graphic errors with Macedonian units
Complete update to Alexandria Map - Fixed multiple bugs, allowed for additional beach landings, and increased performance
Correct Legio III C missing textures on Standard bearer
