Update #3

Basically incorporated a bunch of game-rules and ported them over. Various fixes and new combat computers added more fitting for longer range weapons.

  • Non-default AI empires will no longer pick Galactic Ascendancy Perk.

  • Fixed localisation hooks for subject conversion events.

  • Debris should now spawn for Ascended Empires.

  • Fixed several Personalities not showing up.

  • Ascended Empire can no longer Create Vassals out of their own planets, as that will just create another Ascended Empire.

  • Ascended Empire can no longer declare war on some of their subjects (I.E. Union States)

  • Ascended Empire can now make claims on (or be made claims on by) other empires.

  • Ascended Empire can now receive Refugees.

  • Ascended Empire pops can now auto-migrate.

  • 2 new combat computers/behaviours - Sniper and Long Range. Both are longer ranged versions of Artillery combat computers, and they stand at 100/max range from target.

  • As a result of new combat computers, there are changes to the availability of them for FE ships. Escort keeps the 4 combat computers, Battlecruisers loses their swarm combat computer for sniper combat computer, and titans gets 2 new combat computers: sniper and long range combat computers.

  • Updated fallen_technologies_events to no longer refer to Circle of Life AP, as that has been removed from the game in latest beta patch.

  • Fallen Titan naval cap cost reduced to 16.

  • Updated FE defense station stats to new beta values.

  • Fallen Technologies 1 now gives 5% unity bonus instead of 10%.

  • Humiliate Wargoal now hidden for Ascended Empires if no cb.

  • All energy core effects of FE defense stations/Citadels now match.

  • All energy core effects of Colossus now match.

  • Subject empires can no longer take the Galactic Ascendancy Perk (at all).

  • Fanatic Pacifist Ascended Empires can now adopt Unrestricted War policy.

  • All FE ships now have the proper dying animations.

  • Titan Lance colour improvements.

  • Removed +8 Defense Platforms from the Ascension Perk.

  • The Decadence removal edict doesn't work because somehow the game itself doesn't recognize any empire actually having the Decadence modifier. So just ignore that feature for now. Event won't pop either because of the same reason.

Patch #10

  • Fixed Egalitarian Economic Powerhouse not being available due to incorrect coding.

  • Defense Outpost Power reactor power increased to 2000.

  • Ascended and Awakened Empire subjects are no longer able to Ascend. They must first break free from their Overlord to do so.

  • Otherwise, Ascended Empires are automatically freed from their default empire Overlords upon Ascension.

  • AI empires with fewer than 10 planets will no longer take the Galactic Ascendancy Ascension Perk. This is in line with other Ascension Paths' requirements for the AI.

  • Ascended Empires can now establish contact with formerly unknown default/Fallen/Awakened Empires.

  • Hive Mind and Machines can now become Ascended Empires.

  • Added 2 new Ascension Perks, Galactic Consciousness and Machine Ascendancy.

  • 4 new ship/city sets added, 2 for Hive Minds and 2 for Machine Empires.

  • Default civics added for Ascended Hive Minds/Machines. Special civics are supported. These include Servitor, Assimilator, Exterminator, Devouring Swarm ascension paths.

  • Governments and Personalities added for Ascended Hive Minds/Machine Empires.

  • Symbiote Subject type added for normal Hive Minds. Symbiotes pay 25% minerals and energy in tax, and can be integrated. (Although I believe pops will just be displaced, so you can call it absorption rather than integration). Symbiote Subjects can also be converted from subject acquired pre-ascension.

  • Ascended Devouring Swarm now purge (eat) pops when they take over a planet, similar to Contingency. (Not tested though. Please report findings.)

  • Added an event to introduce Decadence.

  • You can now remove Decadence via a Galactic Ambition, which is unlocked through the event. (Not tested either. Please report findings.)

  • Over-writing a ton of Guardian events to include Ascended Empires, and should result in a better gameplay experience (border opinion will add properly, events trigger correctly etc) as long as you don't look at the amount of mess in error log.

  • Titan Lance Icon updated.

  • Over-writing the trading hub building, now Ascended Empires can build these starbase modules. Beacon of Prosperity civic will trigger it to provide 1 more energy.

Hey guys, I got a patch for you just in time before you start your weekend games!

  • Updated the Fallen Titan limit to max 20, in line with changes to the beta patch. However, the number of titans you can build per naval cap remains at 200.

  • Ascended Empires now scripted to build more Fallen Titans as a result. Every 10 planet they own they can build 1 more titan, up to 20.

  • Added an event to 'convert' starbases to your new graphical culture once you Ascend. The MTTH is 5 years, and requires you to be at peace. Coding wise it 'destorys' the starbase before setting up a new Outpost for you so you won't lose any systems but you will lose the Citadels and all starbase buildings on it. Or, you know, you could just say no and the event will go away.

  • Changed the official supported patch to 2.0.2 so as to be clear to people that this mod does not run well with 2.0.1

  • Spiritualist Fervor civic changed from positive government ethic attraction to edict cost reduction to make it more useful.

  • Materialist Fervor civic research technology bonuse buffed from 5% to 10%

  • Xenophile Fervor civic changed to have -50% border friction as opposed to +1 ship sensor range.

  • Xenophobe Fervor civic changed from starbase capacity +2 to -20% claim costs.

  • Militarist Fervor civic changed from +50 naval capacity to +20% ship fire rate.

  • Pacifist Fervor civic is now +10% pop resource output instead of +5% happiness, and -20% ship building speed in defensive war.

  • Authoritarian Fervor civic now has +10% slave output instead of -25% claim cost.

  • Egalitarian Fervor civic now gives -20% consumer goods cost and +20% starbase damage.

  • Barbarism civic now also gives -10% war exhaustion.

  • Isolationist civic now also gives +10% pop happiness.

  • Murderous rage civic now also gives -10% war exhaustion and +25% ship building speed.

  • Fixed missing quotation mark in fallen_technologies.8
