Builder's Improvements
ModID=854186603
This mod does NOT implement new structures.
The mod adds snap points and changes some restrictions of vanilla structures.
Just subscribe the mod, install it and it will work out of the box.

crop plots and fence foundations are easier to place unsnapped because of a smaller snap range, but they still snap

GameUserSettings.ini:
[BuildersImprovements] NumberOfStructures=2 default: 2 (up to 16) PreventFreeFloors=1 default: remove the entry

  1. This mod adds additional "snap points" to the following structures:
    • Cliff Platformsnap points for fence foundations and walls
    • Tree Platformsnap points for fence foundations
    • Sloped Roofssnap points on top of walls and sloped roofs
    • Foundationsstack floors on top of each other
    • Ceilings support for pillars and crop plots. snaps also on level of foundations
    • Ramps railings can be snapped to ramps and sloped roofs
    • Pillars pillars now have an additional snap point for other pillars
    • Crop Plots crop plots can be snapped on foundations and ceilings
    • Refrigators snap together
    • Preserving Bins snap together
    • Feeding Troughs snap together
    • Storage Boxes (small, normal, large) snap together
    • Book Storage snap together
    • Railings snap to ramps and catwalks
    • Cat walks snap to ramps to build stairs
    • Straight Electric cables has more snap points, more angels to snap
    • Straight Pipes has more snap points, more angels to snap
    • Trophy bases snap together
  2. This mod disables collision
  3. This mod extends nearby foundation requirements for walls and ceilings to 16 structures instead two.
  4. This mod disables foundations snapping to ground, so you can snap foundations together, which do not have ground contact except for the first.
  5. Removing THIS mod does not affect the VANILLA structures, which are placed with this mod active.

Hi Grebog.
a little could be improved at the foundation's snap point?
suggestion, lay a foundation(1), 2 walls and a ceiling, place a foundation under the ceiling (2) in the air, slip between foundation(1) and foundation(2),
could it somehow remedy a little?

I found out, it is a little harder than normal but for others wondering, you put a ceiling on the lowest snap point of the foundation and put a new foundation next to it which will then be one tile lower.

How do you do foundation lowering with this mod? Normally i just put a pillar inside of the foundation and i get a lower snap point

- Got it combined with Builder's Helmet and Companion , which leads Me to My question... any chance of getting them in a "bundle"? As in combining all 3 mods into 1 mod at some point?

@roman.tymchuk the crop plots have a very small snap range. they snap but can be placed also nearly unsnapped on foundations. There is no way to make the snappoints toggable without modding new crop plot structures (like s+ and other do).

It's working now, it seems that you just have to find the perfect angle for the crop plot to snap. :)

I installed the mod but the large crop plots don't want to snap to the foundations. What's wrong?
