Description

During the campaign "Road to Rome", one of the most important and heavy fighting the Allied assault on Italy, was Monte Cassino, where a steep mountain on a large monastery was a group of German paratroopers barricaded themselves. The Allies bombed the position during days destroying the monastery, at this point a large number of allied soldiers advanced to liberate the village of Cassino and the monastery.
