Elite Dangerous: Sidewinder

Description
Decided to build as faithful a recreation of the sidewinder as I could.
Should be just about 1:1 scale, fully survival-ready (you'll have to add the cargo hatch by hand because of the way projectors work). The only issue is that there's not room for a SRV, mainly because Elite tends to get internal scale wrong.

Runs with the Energy Shield mod for balance. If you don't want to use that mod, it will work fine pasting/building without it.

Atmosphere/Space/Interplanetary capable.
Has full production facilities, runs on reactor/battery combo.

Hope you enjoy! Leave any questions/suggestions in the comments. (I might be persuaded to make more Elite Dangerous ships :D)

Make sure to tell me if I missed any mods in the requirements section.

Hi! Sorry, yeah, I made this one years ago and a lot has probably changed since then. Please feel free to upload your version. I'd appreciate if you'd link back to this one and comment here with your upload so I/others can find it!

Hello friend :se:. I really liked the ships you've built, the sad thing is, they are modded. The mods creates a very inconsistent blueprint that can stop working at any moment. I took your Sidewinder blueprint and remade it using only vanilla and DLC blocks, no mods. I want to ask if i have your permission to upload it.

Mods probably aren't up to date with latest standards from one of the minor updates - one of the reasons I stopped doing SE, every update breaks something and non-vanilla ships can be inconsistent. My best advice is to wait for modders to fix their mods, otherwise you'll have to replace them with equivalent parts from working mods. Sorry!

you have got to come back for one more elite creation the Srv. no one has made one yet and it would be perfect in space engineers because it would be a good scouting rover for rugged terrain. (moons?)

OH DUDE! there is a mod called "Mach 33" it basically removes speedlimits from the game. if you have the mass and momentum to push, you can go quite fast. on that note, i tested your conda's "60 to 0" (more like 268 to zero) and it took no more than 5 seconds to slow. same could not be said for the sidey. the conda is a powerful beast. i did notice the hillarious flaw however with its inability to escape an atmosphere using its rear thruster drives, unless lifting from the atmosphere horisontally using its elevator thrusters (which it does just fine).

ohoh great, will check out that condor. oh and something was up with the radar, it wasnt functional, i think it was missing its script.

I've taken a near-indefinate hiatus from Space engineers, I'm afraid. I'm glad to hear my little sidey is doing its job out there :D

As for hardpoints, that was my main gripe when making it, haha. It was hard to get a balance between looks and practicality, and unfortunately the guns could not be lifted.

I actually started making a Cobra way before I ever started this Sidey, but ended up having to give up because the geometry was too hard to replicated given the size. On top of that interior design is a bitch. I tried to come back to it once but I quickly realized the mods I used in it where outdated and missing, and since deleted the file I think. Sorry :/
Just in case you were unaware, I do have both an Anaconda (a little outdated I think, easy to fix up) and a Condor also available. I'm afraid a Coriolis may be a tad outside Space Engineer's capabilities :P

a 1:1 scale version of the Cobra mk III (or refered to as Cobra3 or Cobra by a few commanders in game) would be neat. so far this has proven to be the most toughest and durable copy paste ship i ever had in space engies. (which is irony in comparison to how this ship is in ED) this sidewinder can go 105 mps and plow into a planet, make a stadium sised crator, sheild bounce, and fly like nothing happened. the design is byootafull and pretty accurate, my only gripe with the design is hardpoint placement (in ED, weapons are visible on the sidewinder in the 1st person view, right outside the canopy) i would really like to see a Cobra be done.... however...... if you could.. or if you are up to it.... an almost 1:1 scale of a Coriolis Station, complete with AI Viper defence force.
