My third entry into Captain Shack's Star Wars Community Challenge:

"Released around the time of the Battle of Naboo, the YT-1760 was part of the popular YT series, intended to correct some of the shortcomings of its predecessors. Though it succeeded in improving on the slower sublight and hyperdrive speeds of older models, it did so at the cost of cargo capacity and defense capability." - Wookieepedia

...or maybe not, at least when it comes to cargo capacity. The Mistress has been customized by its independent trader captain to haul as much swag from A to B as humanly possible, while still looking sexy as hell. Who cares what the wife thinks anyway?

NOTES:

Built and tested in DX11

Landing gear! It's just maglocks on the "belly" of the ship, but they work splendidly in my experience. You'll want to turn off the main vertical thrusters before getting close to your LZ; switch on the landing thrusters for the the final approach. Both groups are in the toolbar.

Passenger Variant: If I'm going to be lore friendly about it, most 1760 owners actually switched out the cargo capacity for staterooms and upgraded shields. Sounds like fun!

Features and Functionality: Like the other ships I've built, it looks pretty... but would probably kill you dead in survival. Plus, I'm pretty sure there's a whole bucketload of cool SE stuff that I haven't even figured out how to work yet.

MOD DISCLAIMER: I love mods. Mods mods mods. The list is starting to get a little shorter, but still. It's a lot.

I'm currently redoing a Galaxy class freighter from Wing Commander I found on here. Mod list is very small, and its coming out great. Once I get done with that and finish up a movie authentic B-Wing, then Ill take a look at this.

Thanks! I agree with you about the landing gear, I recently did something similar with my YV-545 rebuild. I'll probably get around to giving this girl the same treatment, as there's quite a bit that needs to be updated. I have a lot on the go right now however so I'm not sure when that'll happen.

Love this build! I found you by searching for my favorite, the YT-2000, but this one is so much nicer IMO. Only change I would make add landing gear while keeping the maglocks(Attach to a ship like the falcon in empire!). Now if you would put your talents toward the yt-1300......:steamhappy:

@jamia-and-adam I've been going back and forth on this; because my ships are so mod heavy it seems to be easier for most people use the world version (mods are downloaded automatically). You can always load it up once and make a blueprint from there for future use. Right now I think it's a little confusing for me to post two versions of every ship, but I will do so if demand is high enough.
