Yes, both issues are known. They seem to happen because the fridge is treated as a wall. RimFridge already solved this, so I’ll look into how they did it. Thanks for your patience.
@LoopKat heat map isn't meant to show anything here. These fridges affect only the temperatures of items inside of them. The cell itself, pawns and other unstored things don't get their temperature changed
That said, I also use LWM's Deep Storage (literally just for some UI stuff) and in the Adaptive Storage Framework mod options I'm using the Deep Storage storage tab. Using DS's storage tab, food displays as not frozen and continues to rot, HOWEVER, switching back over to the ASF storage tab seems to keep food frozen as intended. There isn't any UI indicator in the storage tab, but the individual food items can be selected in the freezer and they show "(frozen)"
Fridges from Reel's Expanded Storage (which uses ASF) don't have this issue, but [sbz] Fridge fridges do
