[B41/B42] Hephas Occupations and Traits

Description

While playing with various occupation mods, I noticed they were often overpowered and the traits mods lacked essential combat skills for proper weapon skill boosts and overall detailed customization.

That's why I decided to create my own occupations and traits mod centered around the theme of "years after the apocalypse" with a focus on balance, immersion and full customization.

Each occupation is designed to excel in a specific skill set, and there are traits that cover (almost) every skill available. Additionally, each occupation and some of the traits come with unique items!

There are numerous options to gain traits dynamically, along with a variety of sandbox settings to customize the mod to your preferences.

I aimed for a balanced experience and kept the costs close to vanilla, while making highly meta builds more expensive for obvious reasons.

Hope you enjoy it!

Does it work in Multiplayer?
It does!

Does it work on existing saves?
It works but beware of the main version, it will remove all vanilla occupations. If you want to use the mod midgame without losing your current occupations, use "_WithVanillaProfessions" version.

I installed the mod version that removes vanilla occupations but I still see them?!
If you still see the vanilla occupations, it means the mod didn't overwrite them or there is a mod conflict. Double-check if this mod is loaded at the end.

Will there be any updates, and are suggestions allowed?
This is my first mod, so please have some mercy. Expect some tweaks and minor changes. I plan to support this mod into B42 and add some balanced content like more traits, more unique items for looting and foraging etc. later on.

I've found a bug... what now?
PLEASE report bugs through the corresponding discussion thread.

@Auren
All weapon traits that you pick during character creation work like any other traits — they grant you skill points and an XP boost. Traits acquired through level-ups do not give an XP boost for balancing reasons.

@Gedryht
That’s exactly the version required for B42, but since it still has some issues, I’m not committed to linking it here. As I mentioned further down, I might relaunch the framework myself.

@Rick Grimes
Haven’t tested it, but it could be compatible — it depends on how they implemented things in their code.

Do any of the weapon traits add additional effects or is it purely flavor text?

Oh you might make your own??? Lez go. Lowkey, all I want is a b42 version that works perfectly. I'm excited for the future!

Hey @Silver Star,
I'm not fully committed to the relaunched Profession Framework B42 by Saul yet, it still throws a few errors he hasn't fixed. I might end up relaunching the original mod myself to resolve the issues and typos.

I'll update the required mods once either Saul fixes the problems or I release my own updated version with the necessary corrections.
Silver Star May 2 @ 12:30pm
Could you update the requirements to reflect the new B42 version of profession framework?
Hephaistos  [author] May 2 @ 5:09am

@Hariton
