The classic gamemode returns in a new form! New Saxton’s abilities! Better animations and visual effects! High quality maps (yes, several)!
It’s all here, inside the map file! No need to install plugins, just subscribe on the Workshop!

What is VS Saxton Hale? It's in the name! You fight Saxton Hale! Or you play as Saxton Hale and fight the Mercenaries.



Are you ready to face 23 enemies at once? ‘Cause they surely aren’t ready to face you!










Tiny Rock was made to be an Arena Payload Race map (that's right, both Arena and Payload Race!), but it worked very well for VS Saxton Hale.

I was originally excited that this gamemode was added officially but after trying it for a while, it just plays significantly worse than the old school community server VSH and FF2 mods. I've played for a full on hour on a 10 person server without getting hale once. The queue to become hale needs to be retooled.

Hale also needs to be balanced better. Either make Saxton Punch! (red glowing fist) not be tied to a timer and instead make it proportional to damage taken OR make it so that if you punch and don't make contact you lose it+put a time limit for how long you can have the Saxton Punch! without landing a hit.

Vaccinator shouldn't work on the guy who only fists. Especially when there's meant to be a whole voice line about Vaccinator NOT WORKING ON HALE. This just makes Medic stupider than he already is in this mode.

and please remove the RPS instant kill for hale- instead have it do 500 damage or something. Every single round is people begging for rps. It's so annoying. They wouldn't if it didn't instantly kill him and they had to rps him multiple times- it's so annoying to see people get mad at you for not wanting to play rps every match in casual servers

Hello please revert the Wrangler nerf- this is a bad change, hale can already easily counter engineer by ignoring his sentries and targeting the engineer. The wrangler was the engineer's ONLY tool for countering hale- all his attacks destroy his buildings in one hit, making him a worthless class as you have to build for several minutes only to get your buildings destroyed instantly. All hale has to do is saxton punch or charge or ground slam- all gone. Engineer is straight up unplayable right now- he dies in one hit and medics never heal engineers- and the gunslinger doesn't help anyway since he still dies in one hit with it.
