Short Description/ Purpose:
The ASPC 24A is a relatively small and survival ready vessel. Its purpose is to support bigger ships in an assault, where it can fire its railgun from distance at large ships and oppose fighters. The second purpose is to defend positions and carryout small patrol missions.
Thanks to its movebility and acceleration it has a good chance to outmaneuver bigger ships. The armour is front orientated, so it can take a few hits from the front. The SWORDFISH is in general light armoured and can take serious damage when flanked.

Lore:
In times of mass produced small Drones and Gunboots, Corvettes got serious problems in terms of their main purpose: Oppose fighters and (lighter) large vessels. To counter these problems the Company Management decided to back them up with additional firepower. Sloops fill in this gab. Therefor the Company created tactical groups of one corvette and two up to three lighter support vessels. The SWORDFISH is one off these Sloops. It is way cheaper then a corvette and bring a wider variety of firepower and support to the tactical unit.

The setup of the SWORDFISH is mainly for opposing small Grids - such as fighters and drones - with its Assault Canon Turret and the Gattling Turrets, as well as its Air Defence Turret´s. Further more with its Raylgun it can targed fortified positions and large Grids such as ground Stations and Corvettes.
Beside these main capability the SWORDFISH is fully able to operate on its own.
