Thanks tremendously for Stalker stuff, its my favourite thing on the workshop anymore.

As I said before too, there is a save feature and the exo-helmet will prevent you from instantly getting gibbed by a lucky shot to the face - although your gasmask may not survive the encounter.
I also made it so that your possessions won't weigh you down too much. Part of this scenario is experiencing the exhausting environment of the natural rurality of the Zone - so hopefully this won't discourage you too much. I took a few stam-breaks on the initial stretch, but once you find a vehicle everything becomes a lot easier.
However, the Stalker gear is relatively well balanced so you aren't getting knocked down constantly and dying from unconsciousness. Specifically, the Stalker you play as has significant ballistic protection and what not. I personally took dozens of shots and was on the door of death in one playthrough. I only was knocked unconscious once during my test plays.
Truthfully, the only time I NEEDED to bandage up was picking up artifacts (which causes bleeding to hands but never fatally) and to bandage the leg of the captured bandit that you can shoot in the knee to get information back in return.
The most difficult part of the game is navigation, but a lot of vehicles on the maps are highlighted and (SPOILER) Kopachi village has a mini-event if you follow the advice of a certain interrogated criminal.
Looks great. ;-)
