Playground Warning Sign - Hong Kong

This simple asset is a semi-replica of a warning sign that can be found in the Children's Playground (兒童遊樂場) of Fairview Park, Yuen Long[goo.gl] (元朗錦綉花園). The sign is there to convey a warning message ¹ to the users of the facility.


"Users of this playground shall assume full responsibility."
( 此遊樂場使用者須承擔一切責任。 )
"Children should always be accompanied by adults."
( 兒童必須由成人陪同使用此遊樂場。 )

So basically, this is a notice to warn the users not to do something dangerous in the playground. But who are the users? The kids! Will the kids even care about the warnings? Probably not! And I bet some of them don't even know some of the words on the sign!

That's why it's actually a warning to the parents or guardians, reminding them to take good care of their own kids. If their kids broke their legs there, they had to fix that on their own. Do not ever complain it to the property owners since it's "none of their business", as they said.

So technically, that's what the management thinks:
"Feel free to use my playground! But don't find me if anything bad happens!"
Well, that sounds fair since no one really forces you to use their playground! LOL!

Indeed, that's a very Hong Kong way to stay aloof from any troubles. But the fact is that signs like this do not really exempt property owners from baring their very own part of responsibility in some circumstances, like if the injury is caused by a poorly maintained facility or something.

Special Notes

1. Use Procedural Objects to edit the signboard to your liking.

2. Use Find it! to find this asset in game. Use Move It together with Prop & Tree Anarchy (or equivalent) to place the prop wherever you want to.

3. Install Ultimate Level of Detail (ULOD) to increase the props' render distance. Set Prop LOD Distance to more than 1000m if you don't want the props to disappear or distort when zooming out.
