Description
Works with Reversible Tram AI:
Headlights, rear lights and destination boards automatically adjust when tram is reversed using the Reversible Tram AI mod (optional).

The Z3-class is the oldest tram in regular operation across Melbourne's tram network. Built by Comeng between 1979 and 1984 at their Dandenong factory, the Z3 design was an improvement on the (now-retired) Z1/Z2 trams, which themselves were based on the Gothenburg M28 tram design.

This tram was commissioned by Blue Thunder for use in upcoming projects.

The mods listed under Required Items are optional, but are highly recommended and enable the following features:
  • Headlights and rear lights
  • Destination board and route number
  • Z-class gong sound when departing a tram stop
  • Door opening/closing sounds at tram stops
  • Arrival/departure Z-class motor sounds
  • Flange grinding sound around curves

Acknowledgements:
  • Thanks to Blue Thunder for the commission!
  • ThebusofdoomFSX for the sounds used with the Vehicle Effects mod.

Additive Shader for the front/rear lights and destination boards to appear. Alternatively, use Visibility Control for better performance.

Reversible Tram AI to allow this tram to reverse at termini. Also enables reversible headlights and destination boards.

Not sure if I'll get around to doing the C and D classes. If I do, it won't be until next year at least.

@Zekiarsu will you make the D class tram? If so how long do you think it will be for the whole melbourne fleet to be made?
Machinomancer Nov 27, 2021 @ 4:37pm
@Blue Thunder. Fair enough. Can't wait for the F class tram.

Yep, A-class and probably B-class will be up next

Any other trams coming despite these ones and the E1 & E2s?
Blue Thunder Nov 26, 2021 @ 11:57pm
@machinomancer that was mostly me :)

I never knew so many people like the Z3 that much to give so many awards.

I did start work on generic line colour versions of the E class a little bit back and started on the Z3 a few nights ago. So I could potentially help with that

@[Delta ²k5] thanks! I'm currently working on a couple more, so might release a pack with generic versions once they're all done
