Opis
Mission is built to be played by 1-32 players Coop.

This is Drongo's Map Population mod version of https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2524791866

If you want to use regular ACE, or SOG AI https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2894432491 (just load up the same mods, and select the ACE version you want)

The mission is dynamic and persistent, with Drongo's Map Population creating tasks

Situation:

Each S3 shack has 2 arsenals, one unrestricted (use ACE interact to access), and one for white listed SOG DLC gear only.

To the North is the DMZ and North Vietnam, where PAVN operates in occupation mode.

West is Cambodia and Laos, where the VC are set to asymmetrically but with PAVN presence around the trail, they have complete control.

Trackers are operating around the DMZ, Cambodia, and Laos, they will keep calling in reinforcements when they discover you. All tracking areas have specific reinforcement teams/units assigned to them depending on the map location.

AI commanders will adapt to your actions

Support:

Transport and CAS are on call using the Simplex mod, you require a radio to call them using ACE interact.
Use smoke to signal LZ locations.

The HQ building has a radio which can be used to spawn another mission.

You can skip time using the radio at the FOB1 Bar

CAS, Transport, and FAC, aircraft available at Pleiku Airbase, and FOB 1

Interpreters: Everyone BUT the pilots, FAC, heli crew, and the one 0/1/2 can speak to civilians

HALO Jump option at FOB 1 HQ

Mission:

Conduct patrols in the west, look for installations, and also intel on bodies, when you read the intel it will temporarily show you the location of a hostile installation. Civilians can be interacted with and questioned, while automatic intel reports will be generated slowly.

Tasks will be generated automatically, and if desired you can create more tasks using Alive. Killing hostiles, and completing missions gains you victory points. Killing civilians, and failing missions contributes to loss of political will.

Did you remove the Pleku airbase fob? It seems to be gone currently. Or something I did screwed it up which is entirely possible. maybe add in the australian and korean troops to recruit?

Okay I made some changes

-The HQ radio is in this version now, so you can use it to spawn DMP missions,
-The spawn radius for hostile AI while players ride in a helicopter is increased.

For SOG AI it conflicts with the SOG advanced revive module from the DLC, the module that allows you to withstand / crawl around. For SOG AI to work that module has to be removed.

I have an unlisted version that has that module removed, people were requesting a version that was regular ACE. With this version you can select the regular ACE or the no medical ACE, either is fine, SOG AI works with this version.

If you were planning on any additions to the scenario or extra variants, SOG AI really made having AI teammates a crutch more than a micromanagement nightmare. I tried enabling it, but when using the praire fire hand gesture wheel (tab) it doesn't do anything and the SOG AI menu (T) states SOG AI is not initialized, so i'm not sure if it needs to be enabled as a module in the mission editor.

Thank you for your reply, it may be that i'm having difficulty due to being a single person as opposed to a bigger group which would probably be more ideal for this type of mission. How big are these groups of trackers you mentioned? I have on occassion seen small groups of maybe 2-4 units patrolling the jungle, but the ones i were the most puzzled by were the large groups of 15-30 units just out in the middle of nowhere in a big clump of squads aimlessly milling about.

As i don't know what their purpose is i don't know if their use of vehicles should be increased, but i did not find any bases or intel or anything else that was in the area where they were patrolling. So as for vehicles maybe they should have a bicycle mule or two or a supply truck if they're meant to be moving supplies through the jungle.

Regardless of the difficulty of playing this single player, i'll keep trying and let you know if i find any other oddities, thanks again for taking the time and making this.

I would recommend, the patrol tasks, wiretaps (this increases periodic map intel reports), sabotage, and destroy tasks. Most of them are great except for the CSAR tasks which has a habit of spawning the extraction point in hostile territory.

With how this mission works its best to tell the task generator to search for a task from map marker and not distance from player. It will still work either way, I just prefer the map marker option.

Yeah the AI cannot revive you, but you could do it with a mod like ROS AI, but I am not sure if mods will cause an issue with the SOG DLC healing module.

What the AI use depends on the AI commander, they pick what units to deploy. I will go in and set them to favor more vehicles.

For the intel, it will only drop from Alive units and not trackers. So only the AI deployed from a hostile base will have intel, they usually garrison the base / patrol around the area / go out and look for you when you make noise.

This version is older than the Unsung version I made, so the HQ radio is not in this version of the map, but you can still use the Alive mod to spawn in tasks for yourself. The Alive tasks are available in all versions of the scenarios.

I just tried playing this in as a single person with AI, do they attempt to revive eventually or do you need human teammates for that? Also i've been moving about a bit, and despite finding very large clusters of VC (15-30) i have yet to come across a single vehicle or emplacement other than the US vehicles i call in.
Also despite gunning down a good chunk of VC i have been unable to find any intel of any kind, it doesn't spawn next to them, so i am unsure how to proceed.
The Unsung variant you have released had a radio bunker where i could request missions, but for some reason it's not included in this mod, at least not at the default spawn of FOB 1 Phu Bai Other than that the helicopters and support are really well implemented.

Very good scenario, thank you for your work. I tried a couple from your serie and can see they are all different so everybody can find something. I tested them om dedicated server without headless client. Good performance.

This should work in local hosting, but I am not sure how the performance will be for you, My other versions have a specific version that has lower spawns which should be better.
